Apple yawned, getting up from their place in the shadows of the marketplace. Slowly making their way out and into the market, they looked around at the bustling place. They were never a fan of the market, but it was their best chance to get some food from a random person who felt bad for them.
They wandered around, occasionally being handed some food from a shop owner. Apple was mainly looking for something to distract them from the large crowds, and was struggling to come up with anything. Walking along slowly and sticking to the side, they continued their search for something distracting.

One might think all sunny spots are perfectly the same. And probably, in the eyes of the majority, all of them would probably boil down to a mere surface lit by the sun. But He begged to differ. To Him, there was a world of difference. Some were dusty, some were soft; in some places, the sun was gently kissing hairs on His head and back; in some places, it was mercilessly scorching. Somewhere you could catch thousands of the most enticing smells from every possible direction; some places smelled of mold and dampness; and some...well, some of them had smells He didn't want to remember. The place he was at was tolerable. It was close to a marketplace, neither too crowded nor deserted. It had a pleasant combination of shade and the sun and smelled like smoked salmon (his favorite). Catso, for that was him, was taking his afternoon nap, his green eyes half-closed. Although he appeared peaceful and resting, in reality, he was closely observing all that was happening around him. Humans and other folks were passing his little hideout in an endless stream. All of them carried some smells which his little pink nose registered with no mistake. And although all of them seemed more or less similar to him, varying only in size and shape, the smells they carried were absolutely unique. He was as hungry as ever, yet not the hunger made him focus on the smells surrounding him so hard: he was searching for the one. The smell of the person who took his sister away. They were the last of the litter and stuck together like glue. She was white with cute little yellow spots on her sides, he was grey with elegant stripes covering his whole body and head. He was often compared with a tiger and, well, for a good reason! Even if he lacked size and height he was just as ferocious and valiant in battle, and His nose would definitely lead him on the kidnappers' track one of these days. He had no doubt about it. Suddenly he caught on a smell that intrigued him. Meat sticks? And so close? It didn't take long until a moving trolley filled with a meaty treat appeared out of nowhere. He quickly opened his eyes and sat up, there were two tiny specs of dust still stuck on his shiny fur, so he quickly licked them off. The trolley was getting closer and closer. The pavement of the road was uneven, and it was rattling and shaking much like old Ma Meow in her late days. Catso was hoping for a good chance to grab a meat stick from the ground provided Luck was on his side. It might as well be that he would just have to help Luck out. He was rather good at making things happen. " Sausaaaageeeees! Fried sausages! Hey, have you tried sausages? Sausages! Discover the world, bite off from Heavens" - the seller went on and on. Catso was getting ready for a jump.

Apple also heard the seller, and they turned their head in that direction. They began walking over, weaving through the crowd in that direction. Might as well check it out, it was something to do. They stopped in front of the cart, which had halted in the middle of the street. Looking over the various types of meat on the cart, the seller turned to Apple.
"Ah, hello young one! Care to have a snack?" The man questioned cheerily. Apple knew their pockets were very empty, so they shrugged. The man chuckled, gesturing to his cart. "Only a few solars and one is yours!" He said, and Apple sighed while shaking their head. "Don't have any." They mumbled in a reply, before starting to walk away.
Then, they spotted the swish of a cats tail, and they paused to look at it. They looked at where Catso was facing, and realized he was about to leap for the meat cart. They waited and watched Catso, wanting to see the sellers reaction out of pure curiosity.
