The man spit, and the woman cut his cheek with a flying dagger. “Piece of–” Tanner began speaking, and Azalea simply stepped back, glaring at him. She scowls. “You’re both monsters. And you’re both pathetic.” She said, watching the three of them interact. Admittedly, Azalea was amused to see Tanner get basically swirlied. The other guy, on the other hand. Azalea kept the knife hovering over him carefully, threatening to slice his neck at any given point in time. Azalea really didn’t have much else to add in the conversation, so instead, she just followed the minotaur outside, grabbing the knife out of the air gently.
Azalea actually had no idea what was going on. So when Shaa had shown her a rope, and asked her about knots, she just stood there in shock. “Uhhhh. Nnno. No I do not.” She admittedly, smiling weakly. She did almost automatically look over to find her boys, who were safely checking each other for injuries and mishaps, outside of the carriage. Garrett looked up, and smiled gently at her. A gesture which she returned. She was glad he was okay. SLowly, she hugged herself, looking over everything. This was a bit harrowing for her, especially since her brother was targeted.

As Shaa continued to drag Salty Nuts around, he laughs a bit. You don’t know how to tie knots? He shakes his head a bit. Ugh this generation. Don’t worry about it. We will have plenty of time to cover knots on the way back to the constabulary. We’ll drop these idiots off and arrange a ride for you back to your town. I’m sure you have someone worried about you.
Shaa snags the rope and neatly bundles Salty Nuts up in such a way that he cannot possibly escape. As he tosses him unceremoniously into the back of the wagon, he preps the ropes for the remaining 5 cultists including the one still moaning from the bathroom. As he preps the line, something is bothering him. It was like an itch in his brain when you lose your keys or thing you have left something unattended. He looks up from the ropes and does another quick body count. 1, 2, 3, 4….4…Who was missing? The Moon Elf! He had smacked her pretty hard so he had not thought to check her first. Dumb dumb dumb dumb DUMB.
He walks slowly around the cart to see if her body is still lying prostrate on the ground. It was not. Dang it! Shaa walks back over to the kids. No sign of her here either. There is no way she could have snuck into the house, he would have noticed. Shaa would never say this out loud but it was times like this that dealing with corpses was a lot easier than dealing with prisoners. He was pretty sure his deceased parents were shaking their heads somewhere. And that’s when she hit him.
Out of nowhere, some crazy force crashes into Shaa’s face sending the Minotaur flying across the lawn. He couldn’t see anything yet but he guessed immediately where it came from. How in the world did she get the drop on him? Nearby, the air starts to shimmer and the bloody moon elf steps out into the open. I believe that makes us even does it not Minotaur? Shaa staggers back and stretches his face muscles, trying to drive blood back into them. What that? I barely even noticed. Was he missing a tooth?
We were told to be watching for one that matched your description. There should be a fairly significant reward for bringing your head back with the children in tow. Shaa put a flinger to the side of his snout and blew out some blood from his nostril. Wiping his face a bit, he looks directly at the Moon Elf. Well, lots of people have tried. Didn’t go so well for them. What do you say. You can tie yourself up and save yourself a whole lot of pain. The Moon Elf looked unfazed. I’ll take my chances.
In a very unexpected move, the Moon Elf reaches up and grabs her own face. Shaa grimaces as he not sure what is happening. With a wet squelching noise, the Moon Elf rips off her own face, throwing it to the ground like a used rag. Shaa hears some screaming from the kids but doesn’t dare look away from the horrific scene in front of him. As the woman continues to pull at her own skin, another shape starts to form. This was no Moon Elf. The being had transformed into a Dragonkin with dark red eyes. A long tail sprouted behind her.
Wow, that must be pretty strong magic to make you even uglier. Shaa quipped trying to keep his stomach from turning over. The dragonkin reached into some pouches on her side. Shaa calls to the kids. Take cover!

Garrett and Remus, the two of them didn’t need to be told twice. She did hide with them at first, just to sort of make sure they were safe. But she watched everything happen. While she was still fully trying to figure out what was going on, she knew she couldn’t just sit and watch. So, she made sure the boys were safe, and then said ‘screw this’ and pulled out her dancing dagger again, aiming it for the woman. It wouldn’t hurt much, but surely it would help distract her, right?
“HEY, UGLY!” She yelled, holding her hand out for her dagger to return - Which it did, hitting the dragonborn again on the way back.
Petunia also wanted to get in on the action. Next to Lea, she chirped away, sending curses towards the dragonborn in her own way. Lea eventually looked over to her. “Hey, keep an eye on the boys. I need to help him.”
Petunia chirped in confirmation, and Lea turned to face them again. “Leave him alone, eh? It’s not HIS fault you lost!”
Lea was never very good at quips. Even she cringed a little at her attempt. She would have to attempt again. "Uh... Pick on someone your own size?"
....No that was bad too.

Shaa takes advantage of the small disruption and rushes right at the dragonkin. He swings a hard right towards her jaw. To his surprise, she deftly turns, avoiding the strike. Continuing her turn, she uses the momentum to swing her tail at the burly Minotaur. Shaa can see the strike coming but he is only fast enough to block its full force with his hand, not avoid it completely. The back of his hand stinging, he steps into her guard throwing her off balance, causing her to jump back a bit to square up again. This was no novice fighter.
The two combatants, looking into each others eyes like a deadly dance, start to circle each other. He can hear a low growl coming from the crafty fighters throat, like a warning to keep his distance. But there was no way that Shaa was going to let her run free. She was too powerful, too dangerous.
It was her turn for the attack. Leaping at Shaa’s face with her claws extended, she swipes multiple strikes at him in an attempt to slash him. He backs of carefully slapping her strikes away as he does. Over at over he slaps away at her as she makes her way closer under his guard.
Suddenly, the dragonkin hand is not empty. Her right hand now holds a dagger and she stabs directly at Shaa’s heart. He is ready for her this time. Slapping his meaty hands together, he stops the blade mid air before it can strike him, Twisting his hands, he pulls the fighters hands down and her head lower close to his arms. With a step to the side, Shaa releases the blade and elbows her directly in the nose. As his elbow makes contact, a crunching noise can be heard. Ermoh! Bloody and off balance, she drops the knife as Shaa picks her up by her throat, slamming her hard into the ground. And stay down!
With the last of the kidnappers down, Shaa manages to convince the rest of them that he is there to help. After trussing the cultists and tossing them in the wagon, he escorts them to a local garrison. Explaining the situation, the garrison offers to escort the children home, allowing Shaa to continue to hunt more kidnappers. After some muffins and find goodbyes, Shaa hears a rumor and starts his way to the fiery mountains…..
