Shaa watches as the angry Kobold approaches them from his hiding spot. To his surprise, the doctor steps up and starts to square off with the grumpy lizard man. Finally, somebody was about to catch a beating. He is about to step forward to flank the Kobold when he stop’s himself. If the doctor is able to make a good show of the fight, maybe these guys would leave her alone. Kind of like standing up to bullies. They don’t respect you unless they think you are not afraid of them. Shaa steps back and watches the fight. He would step in if things got too hairy but she was ok for now. Where in the world were all the guards when you actually needed them? You got this! He calls to the doctor. I’ll be here if you need me. Just don’t die…of embarrassment losing to that smelly piece of troll dung. The Kobold growls but stays focused. I will finish the woman and you are next half man. Shaa spits on the ground with a calm unconcerned look on his face.
The Kobold watches as the doctor summons her replicant and manages to body check him. Shaa notices that the creature is being careful. He has experience, that’s good to note. Checking back on the doctor, she has pulled some weird space cloak out. Unsure what it was for, for some reason it made him think of his friend Socket and had a passing thought wondering where he was right now. Shifting off to one side, the black blade in hand, the Kobold charges C’Leena and takes a quick swipe at her right side.

C'Leena notes that Shaa isn't stepping in, but doesn't hear what he says. More accurately, she opts to ignore the distraction. Oh well, she can handle this, no biggie.
Her waltz continues uninterrupted, even through the gash received from the kobolds dagger. The poison begins it's work quickly, and suddenly C'Leena feels like she's on a time limit. Using the cloak as a way to mask her movements from her quarry, she thrusts through the cloak, aiming center mass.
As the blade speeds forward, smaller inscriptions running along the blade pulse, and a slightly translucent clone of the blade splits from the true rapier as they plunge into the kobolds chest1,2. Both versions of the blade find flesh, and as quick as they were pierced in, they are yanked back out, spilling blood and staining cloth. The cut in her side begins to heal over3, but the poison is unaffected.
To further confuse the Kobold, she resummons her Replicant4, and the duplicate begins dodging, weaving and attacking, despite not doing any harm. The duo often switch positions to avoid the Kobold keeping track of which is the real C'Leena. She may be on a time limit, but if she wins this, it'll be a hell of a lot of salt rubbed into the wound.
The kobold attempts their own attacks, which are parried or dodged away from, however the same could be said for C'Leenas own attacks. For such a small blade, the kobold uses it to it's full extent. C'Leena allows herself to be impressed for but a moment, before shoving it back down and returning her focus to the fight.
The fighting style she learnt a few years ago was never meant to be used practically. It very much could be, as seen in her current confrontation, but for C'Leena, it was a method used to grow acquainted with her prosthetics. The dexterity required, and the precise movements made it a valuable tool in training herself to relearn a lot of her actions.
The style itself focuses on feints and trickery. The cloak and replicant only help make the form that much more confusing. It's difficult to tell what movement will lead to a feint, and what will result in a new wound. Back home, the style was used for show; fake swordfights and general entertainment due to how showy the form can be. The longer she continues, the deeper her rhythm forms. The replicant becomes less of a combatant, and more of a dance partner as the clones step exactly where they need to be to avoid one another, while remaining close.
Each twist, turn and flourish simply scream 'I am toying with you'. Despite the scenario, both of the clones have a look of complete focus, eyes unblinking and staring down the kobold. Somehow, the featureless eyes look both steeled, and extremely pissed off all at once.

Shaa watches as the two dance around each other with their blades. He was a blade master himself but this fight reminded him why he liked unarmed fighting better. He was happy though that the doctor seemed to be holding her own for now. Shaa didn’t like that the doctor was cut with that weird blade, they would have to deal with that later. He said he wasn’t getting involved but maybe… he could help wrap it up a bit. Shaa takes a quick stomp on the ground. As he does so, several rocks jump up and grab the Kobold by the foot, sticking him in place. Arrrghhh the warrior cries in frustration. Shaa goes back to nonchalant whistling by the coral.
They would have to wrap this up soon. Shaa could feel that the horses were still ok in the pit so far, be he knew that he couldn’t keep them down there much longer or they might start to panic. He did a quick scan and there were still no guards in sight. What exactly was the pacifist doctor going to do with this guy? Shaa studied the Kobold carefully.

Once the rocks immobilize the kobold, she takes advantage of every second of it. Blinking1 behind the kobold, the thought of simply killing off the kobold passes through her mind, but she is quick to disregard it. Killing him would not only go against what C'Leena believed in, but it would fail to send the message she wanted to send.
In the kobolds moment of weakness, C'Leena takes the leaders dominant wrist in a vice-like grip, pulling the arm backwards. Propping the arm atop her shoulder and keeping her grip prevents the kobold from being able to escape the hold for as long as they're stuck in place. She simply needs to hope that Shaa will keep it held.
Moving to the kobolds ear, she begins speaking in a disturbingly calm and collected tone. "There are a number of ways this can go, but I'm going to give you two of them here and now. First option is to admit defeat, throw you toward the guards and you live to see your friends, family and loved ones again. Second option is less nice, however. The second option includes a biology lesson," With her free hand, she points to the third and fourth ribs on the left side of the chest.
"Lesson one. These two ribs are simply called the Third and Fourth ribs. If your own blade were to slide right in between them, your heart would be the first thing cut into. Do you want that to happen, Mister?" She takes a second to pry the weapon from the kobolds hand. The rather painful position of his arm has loosened his grip, so it wasn't too much of a struggle, thankfully.
Truthfully, she's all talk and no bite. She really doesn't want to kill the guy, so chances are she won't unless the kobold tries to do something awfully stupid. She takes a moment to touch her side and cast one of her newer spells2. She initially learnt the spell to combat poisons from wildlife and whatnot, seeing as she's as good at identifying poisonous animals as a colorblind person is at identifying blue from red.

The crusty Kobold growled in frustration. What do you think that I am huuumaaannn. The dragon man snarled with a curl on his scaled red lips. I am the son of Nahl the Wicked. I am the fourth of the blood oath in my clan. Do you think your threats mean anything to me? We only wanted your services but you disrespected us. You will suffer for this, by the scales of Ka’ Rafff you will suffer!
Shaa was getting a little concerned. Kobolds weren’t exactly known for being super gutsy so the fact this guy was monologueing when he was obviously at a disadvantage was bad. Where were all of his buddies? Why wasn’t he freaking out begging for his life? This dude was not a normal Kobold. The weirdo knife wasn’t too odd, they carried spunky weapons all the time. But his attitude? Shaa’s guts were screaming at him again. Damn it, guts, what am I missing here? The eath bind wouldn’t last much longer, the horses were shifting, what was he up to??
The Kobold turned and looked at C’Leena with pure hate in his golden eyes. In a move that was both impressive and horrifying, the warrior turns his head sharply and bites a chunk of flesh out of his own shoulder. With blood and viscera in his mouth, the Kobold spits the bloody spray at C’Leena’s face to distract her. As he does so, he swings his tail around to try to take C’Leena out at the knees.

To say that this was a twist would be the new understatement of the century. She is indeed stunned and taken aback by the action, moreso by the self-mutilation than the spray of blood and flesh. Releasing the grip she has on him, she staggers back and is tripped up by the sweep.
As she falls, she acts more on instinct than anything else. Vanishing from the spot she was falling, she re-appears approximately twenty feet in the air1, with a pair of glowing, golden feathered wings, spreading 12 feet wingtip to wingtip2. The wings are outstretched and not flapping, yet C'Leena remains airborne. She shakes her head, flicking off loose viscera and flesh.
"Am I supposed to give a shit, mate? The pricks you call your friends showed me NO respect. Had your people simply asked instead of demanded, NONE of this would have happened. YOUR people brought this upon yourself. I will not be held accountable for my actions today." Her voice no longer carries the calm tone, instead it's one of rage. Her face is covered in the kobolds blood, but she doesn't seem bothered by it currently.
"Despite my better judgement, I will give you a final chance to concede. Hell, I'll even let you go free, if you simply leave myself and Shaa alone. I'm frankly impressed he hasn't twisted your body into twine. Mister Nahl, was it?
"Who you are doesn't matter in the slightest to me. Your names mean nothing in this scenario. You either leave, or do the stupid thing of trying to fight, where you will be indistinguishable from horse shit by the time I am done. Choose, boy."
C'Leena draws her rapier, remaining in the air as she awaits his answer. Her glare is withering as she stares down at the wounded and bleeding Kobold. Truthfully, with how small the guy is, he'd sooner pass out from blood loss than be able to take both C'Leena and Shaa down - if he even could do the latter. Her expressions are steeled, but radiating hatred as she hovers there, wings outstretched. She almost seems like an angel coming down to deliver punishment for ones sins. Speaking of..
Was that a halo?

For just a moment, Shaa considered letting the good doctor go through with it. Her she was poised in the sky like an avian who had their eggs cooked for someone’s breakfast. Ready to FINALLY take out this trash sniffer once and for all. Shaa wasn’t big on “I told you sos” but here she was, finally taking care of business. But…it wasn’t right. The pathetic stubborn moron was going to meet a grisly end and the doctor was going to have to live with it. For the rest of her life. Ughhh he really did spend way to much time with people.
As the doctor dove downward with the killing stroke, Shaa rushed over and grabbed her sword-arm and swung her as gentle as possible in the opposite direction, putting himself between the Kobold and the doctor. The Kobold jumps at this moment of mercy and tries to viciously bite Shaa’s left arm. But Shaa has been watching him this entire time and had his number. As the Kobold leaps forward, Shaa swings a hard fist into his center mass. The Kobolds eyes go wide and his body convulses, falling into an unconscious heap on the ground. Suck it scale face. Shaa laughs at the sight. He picks up the unconscious body and lays it over the coral fence like a pile wet laundry.
With the Kobold neutralized, Shaa hopped the fence and unseals the entrance to the pit. As rays of light pierce into the darkness below, the horses take the queue to leave the pit and refill the corral. Shaa noted that several of them gave him a stink eye as they came back. He was grateful that their little journey would forever be regelated to the secret language of the herd. Shaa waves at them casually. Sorry guys. It was for a good cause. He does a quick head count and reseals the pit, making a mental note to come back later to ensure it doesn’t become a sink hole.
Shaa turns back to the doctor and chuckles. Ok so it a little hairy but overall.. ehhh? Eghhh? Didn’t kill anybody. Shaa looks over at the very limp body on the fence. Oh he’s not dead. I used a very difficult martial technique on him. He’s going to be out for awhile….unless he bleeds out… hang on. Shaa walks over and blows a stream of fire on the Kobolds self inflicted bite wound. The smell of sickening charred meat fills the open air of the corral, making the horses skittish. Shaa pats the wound a bit to make sure he didn’t accidentally set him on fire. With a quick pulse check, he is satisfied with his work and gives a thumbs up to the doctor. He’ll be fine…probably. Shaa takes one of his limp arms and flaps it around a bit. Yeah, he’s good. But… let’s get going and let the guards draw their own conclusions, right? Come on, I know a guy who sells churros stuffed with cream and berries. Dudes a genius. Shaa makes his way quickly down a side street motioning to the doctor to follow.

Her mind was a trainwreck. Shaa intervening had very nearly caused her to lash out at Shaa himself, but with a number of calming breaths and her sheathing the rapier and dismissing the wings, she was able to re-center herself. She'd never been more thankful for someone getting in the way.
She had landed on her feet when Shaa had diverted her. Pulling out a square of cloth from her pocket, she wipes the still-wet blood from her face. Watching Shaa absolutely body the Kobold was amusing, though. She does frown lightly when he cauterizes the wound and flaps the kobolds hand around.
"Please never get into the medical field." She says in a joking manner. Shes opting not to think about her actions and simply moving forward with the conversation. She looks up at the sky, noting the suns position. "Yeah, I reckon I got time. Fuck it, lead the way, man. Could go for something to eat." She shrugs and follows Shaa.
Shaa wasn't lying. The guy was a fucking genius. She was taking notes for her own cooking. She'd have to show Nephele the next time her and C'Leena were around here again.. Thats if she remembers.

Shaa and C’Leena sat at a table near the eatery, watching as the sun started to wane over the tents in the distance. As he finished off the last of his churro, he snickered as he saw a pair of Kobolds being dragged off to the guard post. Leeme go, we didn’t steals nothing. Gerrrrr! He held up the last of his churro in a “ cheers” motion to the irascible creatures as they are drug away. Does the fact that I don’t feel guilty about this in any way make me a bad person? He licks his fingers of the last of the cinnamon. Nope. They are all in one piece so, as far as I’m concerned, they got off easy. YOU HEAR ME CROTCH SNIFFERS? Hahaha. Ehhhh.
Looking back to the doctor, he lazily cleans his fingernails of the grime of the day. Well Doc. Today was pretty interesting, I have to say. I’m glad it all worked out. Not sure anyone would believe it if you told them though. He starts to yawn. Well that’s my sign, time to wrap it up for the night. If you ever find yourself in trouble, feel free to drop my name at the guild. Someone has to watch out for you, you can’t afford anymore missing parts. He laughs and waves as he makes his way to his friends house. He still had a trip ahead of him and tomorrow was a new day
