[Renown, World Event, Complete]
Frost Gale had not been a place high on Taki's list to visit. She was not one for frigid climates and bitter winds, preferring the humid rains and mild weather of the Crescent Isles. The shaman nonetheless ventured to this place, following the whispers of spirits that a powerful spirit would be sharing it's voice with the world. Unsure what to make of the rumor, she traveled as far as The Pale City, where the whispers and rumors seemed to all culminate.
She roamed the town for the better part of the morning, but the trail was confusing so far. The animals in town seemed uneasy, and the shaman did her best to offer the ones she crossed paths with comfort. Apart from the strange behavior, some of the residents were gossiping in the market about a recent avalanche. Taki inquired further at several different places before someone finally answered her.
"The bloomin' snow, slid right out under em... darndest thing... One minute everything was fine, the next, snow flowed like water down the mountainside."
"That is most unfortunate... Was there a rescue effort?"
"Not at first, the town had no idea what had happened. A mate of mine was out gathering wood to dry for next year and heard the commotion. They spent half a day just walking around the mountain to find what happened, and it was 3 more days before the group made it here... By the time the townsfolk knew about the avalanche, it had been 4 days or pretty near. There were only a few survivors." Said the shopkeeper, a well dressed dwarf smith, whose tool shop Taki had stopped in to inquire about garden tools.
"Thank you for the information, and my condolences. I may journey to the mountain myself to see what else can be done, and if this is an accident or a sign of something to come. Good day to you." She purchased the tools she had picked out, along with a set of poles, fashioned to her size and capped with a metal disk. The sharp spike jutting from the end served to help her find purchase in the high mountains. Making way back across town to the inn she'd secured for the night, Taki settled into a booth, pulling out layered fabrics from her travel bag, along with sewing tools. A new outfit would be needed to keep the serpent woman warm in the bitter cold and biting winds of the mountain, so she spent her afternoon making the outfit. Most people were curious about her colorations or other unique features, though a few were less respectful, Taki made sure they understood the shaman was not without her fangs.

Ollivander was in the streets passing out warm blankets and food to those without homes talking with them explaining the shelter for them would be open soon. He seemed quite kind, the white of his hair and outfit seeming almost angelic though he was anything but at his core. He soon finished with such things and stopped by the building that would be the shelter making sure things were well on their way for the people. Once done he then headed to the tavern to meet with a ‘friend’ of his to see how his plans were coming along.
Upon sitting down a drink was brought to him and he took it with a smile as he waited before soon being joined by a hooded figure who whispered quietly to the kind smiling man, telling him rumors and updates on their efforts and how it certainly seemed like the tide was turning. “Good then thank you. Keep working as you are. We just need a trigger to begin. I’m sure it will be soon considering the chaos spreading across the region. “ he remarked thinking a bit. “Remember I don’t forgive absent minded mistakes” he added with his same sweet and innocent smile that did not match the ice cold words at all. The other nodded and soon left

Trudging through the deep snow, Taki set out at first light. In the distance, a snow coated mountain that towered over the others was her beacon and her destination. Along the way, she communed with the local spirits, trying to find further information about what was foretold by their rumors. Only a few wary, hearty travelers crossed paths with her on the first leg of the journey. It would take a few days to make the trip to the mountain and back to town, but the shaman was prepared for what might lie ahead. With good tidings and a guiding whisper, she ventured until the first hours of twilight began to settle into the winter blasted valley.
Taking shelter in a small cavern, she set herself a simple shelter and broke off a portion of her rations to eat. The confines were easily warmed with a tiny fire on the opposite side of the cave. A crevasse in the back wall had just enough air flow to keep the shaman from filling the space with smoke. The crackling, glowing flame burned itself down slowly through the night, and the shaman dozed warmly by it's side. Come morning, she sets out once again after shaking off the chill air of the valley and packing her modest camp. What secrets would the mountain spirit tell? Would she, a simple shaman from far off lands, be fortunate enough to hear it's great voice and know it's words? Time would tell...

Ollivander was smiling and speaking with a couple before the ground below him began to rumble. It started small and light before cracks began to form and the ground shook with such ferocity most could hardly stay standing. He cursed and looked to those around him ushering them up and to run from the town to safety advising to keep some distance from the mountain with the threat of avalanches at a time like this. Once the people began fleeing he let his smile and worried look fall to show his cold annoyed expression that no one ever saw or hardly anyone at least. He was seething, if this put a dent into his plans or halted them in any way it would be quite the nuisance especially after he dealt with so many uppity high and mighty bastards and royals to get things set in motion.
"I did not come this far to have some disaster ruin it all" he growled under his breath. The only reason he even ushered the people out was because they were useful pawns to his plan. He expected many deaths but not yet, not in this manner. He however soon took a breath and put his fake worried and caring look on helping more people

In the brisk air of the early morning, the animals began acting strangely. Birds took to wing that normally would be sleeping much of the day away to conserve energy, mammals that hibernated popped out of their burrows and made great speed away from the mountain in question. Even the bugs were fleeing, all making great haste to anywhere else. A few minutes later, Taki felt the first tremors beneath her feet. The spirits' voices grew, ebbed for a brief moment then as one began a cacophonous melody.
The mountain spirit was indeed making it's voice known, and the powerful spiritual sound was making the earth quake and protest from the strain. She stuffed her pack together without further hesitation, then began sprinting across the snow covered fields towards town. Her legs pumped, tossing fresh snow that had fallen the night before. Along the way, the shaman scooped up a few young foxes who'd gotten separated from their parents. The small, white cubs little tails poked out from between her arms. Another tremor, this one stronger, caused weak branches and sticks to come tumbling out of the sparse trees. Parts of the snow shifted, less stable patches collapsed onto themselves as the earth below groaned, which made the terrain more difficult by the minute.
Taki ran faster, her lungs burning from the effort, heart pounding a furious beat in her ears. The walls of the city peaked over the horizon, and the sounds of people fleeing echoed across the oddly quiet land. Where could they go? What could they do?

Ollivander assisted anyone he saw in getting out guiding or carrying them to the towns wall where they could be helped by others away from the town once there. He noticed a few nobles badly injured or missing, their houses in ruins. It was almost enough to make him crack a smile but he kept such things to himself as he helped people seeing a girl scared and about to be crushed he picked her up and flew out of the way of the rubble flying above the city and holding her close before managing to get her outside the walls.
Once done he flew back into the air circling over the city to see who else needed help. He saw some people reaching up towards him, heard a few whispers of angel and such. He landed before those reaching to him for help and gave a kind and calm smile to them as he held out a hand to them and helped them how he could, leading them from the city. There were always rumors and whispers of him being angelic due to his wings, snowy hair and kindness he showed to those around him and it was a title he made sure to keep

A strange sound filled the valley, as if some monstrous worm were writhing below the earth and ripping the roots apart. Another quake, this one lasting several seconds, rocked the area. It upended earth, trees, homes, even the walls of the city shook and shifted upon their foundations. Spotting a large group of arctic foxes huddled together, she dropped off the cubs she'd come across just minutes ago. Full sprint, with her arms freed, Taki raced across the splitting soil and churning rocks. Spirits all around called out, harmonizing with the resonant pulse of the quakes.
As she approached the city, she noticed something flitting about above the houses and streets. It was no bird, or at least not of a species she'd ever encountered. With each passing minute, the shaman grew closer to town, and was impressed with her own pace and stamina to have already covered what had been hours of careful and deliberate exploration the day before. Her bright blue scales dazzled, sparkling in the combined light from above and reflecting off the snow. In her own mind, she raced like the swiftest of serpents across the ice, pouring her all into reaching her destination. It was good to see and hear signs that folks were making it safely out of the city.

Ollivander landed by those gathering away from the walls, a bit tired from the chaos of it all as he looked to those around feigning concern and care for their well-being as he spoke to many and checked them over. Seeing them looking to him he began to speak “we all have made it through this terrible nightmare thus far. For now we should make shelters and salvage anything useful to help each other. We must stand strong together at times like this my friends” he remarked getting a few nods and cheers from the crowd. He watched as they began to work on a camp for now and he scavenged for anything useful and such.
Of course anything with value or extremes use was kept to himself but most things went to the people to help them rebuild. This was certainly a way to gain the attention and trust of the people and could certainly bring him closer to his goal if he could get the city to listen and believe him. Seeing as no one else had stepped up for leadership things were looking quite promising if he could say so. It seemed in this instance calamity led to opportunity.

People flocked the evacuation route, heavy packs and carts carrying their most precious and needed possessions away from the damage. Taki passed many startled onlookers, striding across the snow towards the city. Drawn by the panicked sounds of pets and livestock that had been left behind, she sprinted through town trying to help. Each home that hadn't crumbled or collapsed was checked, though the streets were many and there was but one shaman.
Whispering spirits guided her to animals in need, and soon she had a cadre of companion creatures trailing in her wake. All through the residential area, the cacophonous sound and mass of furry, feathered and scaly creatures followed the shaman out of town and to safety. Along the path, she heard the mewling of a young kitten and went to investigate. Upon the window sill of a home that had become unstable, and scratching desperately at the wood, was a brown, tan and grey cat with sharply pointed ears and a short tail.
Trying the window from the outside, it wouldn't budge. It had been locked from within, and the poor kitten left behind or forgotten in the rush to vacate. Laying folded and broken, the door leading inside told of the strain the building was under. Inside was a lavishly furnished building, and the sound of someone rummaging through it's cabinets. Taki drew a pair of her Kunai1 and approached the side room she'd seen the kitten in. Cautious and alert, she calmed the kitten and scooped it into her pack to keep it safe and make it easy to carry. She began to make her way back out of the building, not interested in disturbing whatever or whoever was looting this home at a time such as this...

Ollivander landed having seen the shaman running down the street looking into houses, stepping towards her with a hand outstretched and a worried look “miss the town isn’t safe you must evacuate” he remarked worriedly before noticing her saving the creatures. He rolled his eyes internally at this guessing she was one of those goody people who must save everyone and everything. None of this annoyance showed though as he masked it with a look of amazement following along and herding the animals to make sure none got lost or stranded in the current situation
Ollivander used his wings to help keep the creatures together as he watched her enter the house to get the kitten before slowly coming back out with it. “Is this all of them?” He asked as he began walking them all up towards the camp glancing around for any other pitiful creatures that could use some saving if they were too incompetent to save themselves. Honestly if he could have his way and didn’t have to put up a front, he would happily let natural selection take its course. So many imbecile ran amok with power the didn’t deserve or earn who couldn’t even tie their shoes

Taki noticed the man following her about, though she chose not to speak with him until they were well outside the city. Something was amiss with this so called angel, who seemed to repel the spirits of nature. She watched him warily until they were well outside the town walls and the animals had been gathered in a clearing near the townsfolk. Once people had begun to reunite with their lost pets, she approached the man.
"I know not the motives for your actions, or the secrets that hide in the shadowy places of your soul... nor is it my place to perturb your facade... nonetheless, your help is appreciated. May the spirits release you from your errant path some day, and give you peace of mind." She finally said, having pondered the words since he first appeared while corralling animals. Without waiting for a response, she walked back to the menagerie of life, calming down the frightened beasts. Instincts were powerful motivation, and every one of the creatures gathered near by wanted to run as far away from the situation as they could. Another tremor, this one gentle but lasting for several minutes, caused more damage to the town's structures. Those with weakened foundations and broken walls gave way to the rumbling earth, folding on themselves like a set of playing cards one might stack precariously.

Olliver raised a brow at her words before smiling "I am happy to help and I'm not sure what you mean by facade but hopefully it isn't a bad thing" he remarked playing innocent and confused by the situation. These spirit types however were rather troublesome as some seemed to sense or see more of his truth. He watched as she then swiftly left to return to the animals and turned away letting his wings fold in. He would make note of this strange person as he moved forward and such.
After a moment to himself with his thoughts he moved to help the people with a smile on his face. He rather hoped this was the final push to get them towards his revolution. He worked on wrapping wounds and passing out any supplies he had gathered, giving them to the people. Charity and kindness was an important thing to maintaining the image he had been cultivating and hiding behind for years. "I am glad you are all well. I pray the others will recover soon from their injuries and grief but I am sure we can all get through this together" he smiled to them. "I will call for aid and try to get us help"
