It was a normal, warm but breezy spring afternoon in King's Valley. A gentle gust was blowing through the Kingswood, warm rays of sunlight flittering between tree branches, casting a glow across the forest floor. Plague had come through here before, but made a habit out of avoiding long walks through random forest. She had heard tales about highway men and road side bandits springing traps on travelers, robbing them of their goods and coin. That was exactly what brought the little chemist here today however, the stories had intrigued her enough to make her want to try the scheme herself. The small woman was wearing her normal olive green jumpsuit fitted with a hood and a plague doctors mask. Many different leather straps were attached to her person, outfitted with pouches, bottles and other random trinkets. She had traveled to this part of the main road, found herself a nice thick bush, and nestled inside of it. She used her shadow hiding and silent step skills to cloak herself in the shadow of the bush. Any random passer by would be unable to spot her, both unaware and unexpecting. But that was when she planned to strike, right as the next traveler passed by. And by the fates someone was already approaching, a random figure who's appearance was slowly coming into view as they closed in on her hiding spot. It would only be a matter of seconds, as they came completely into view and now began to pass by her bush. With an excited breath, Plague launched from the bush, her dagger clenched in one of her gloved fist, as her tiny petite voice was almost muffled out by the fabric mask on her face. "Stop right there and give me all of your solars, or I will stab you, violently."

Kingswood was nothing like the Marsh Flats, it's ground covered in dried leaves, nettles and light undergrowth. The colors of the trees and the variety of their designs had captivated Socket, who traveled to the area on the recommendation of several folks in their recent adventures. A simple grey traveling cloak covered most of the construct, though the glowing lines of their form was still visible at the hands, feet and what bits of their helm could be seen.
As they walked past a cluster of brush, a strangely dressed female leapt at them, dagger drawn. "Stop right there and give me all your solars, or I will stab you, violently." Socket had heard there were bandits along this road in the last town, though they'd not expected to encounter one so quickly. They looked about for the rest of the posse, 'ears' swiveling about to pick up the sounds of others. As they did this, the simple grey traveling cloak seemed to melt away into a form fitting suit made of soft, stretchy material.
Pointing a dagger was never a wise idea, but the person held themselves in a well practiced fashion. Socket raised their arms, palms forward and open. As they did, sparks of electricity began to leap between the joints and seams of their body.
"You'll be disappointed to know that I don't travel with money on me, but if you're in need of a violent encounter, I'm sure you'll be in for an electrifying experience." the automaton stated, it's voice buzzing and popping from the electrical interference, which made them seem even more alien than usual. Shifting their footing slightly, Socket prepared a sequence of spells and actions, aware that all manner of traps, spells and unpleasantries could be waiting in this situation.
Overhead, sailing against the backdrop of cloud cover for camouflage, a large Snow Owl watched the encounter unfold. This verified Socket's suspicion that the person was alone, at least, for the moment. If others were coming, Yukina would have signaled, with a series of rhythmic chirps and diving from the cloud cover to circle above their location.

The two just stood there for a second, Plague unsure of what to do as this stranger began to charge up? Static appearing across their body, as if they were ready for a fight. The masked woman was beginning to second guess things, maybe she was not cut out to be a bandit, but she also was not one for looking weak or giving up. With a swallow and a heavy sigh, the young chemist realized that even if this person had no money or was much more skilled than them, that she was going to have to fight.
Luckily the strange looking traveler had kept their distance, choosing to not close the 20 foot gap between them and Plague, being a long range specialist, this was perfect. She quickly replaced her dagger on her hip, opening up both hands as her left hand pulled open a flap in her olive green jump suit. After a few seconds tiny wasp could be seen buzzing out of the flap, one followed by another, until soon their was a small swarm forming, angry wasp that had been living in the comfort of her suit until now.
With a sadistic smile, Plague ordered the swarm of wasp to attack, moving like a cloud to engulf the stranger. If they remained where they were, the swarm would surly begin to bite, sting and assault her opponent. Still on the edge of the dirt path, she watched from beneath her tinted goggles, joy whelming over her. It had been awhile since her little buggies had had a snack, and they were eager.
Summoned wasp from Staff of the Hive: Will attempt to swarm and sting during your post.

Disguising the motion of the spell as part of changing their stance, Socket silently cast Static Field. Calmly watching the bandit's attack, they shifted forward, stepping into the path of the swarm before it could spread too far out. This caught the group in it's field and jolted the little creatures just enough to knock them from the sky and leave them disoriented. Hopping over the group, the automaton's outfit changed, becoming a set of wrappings over each limb and a simple monk's robe tied by sash at the waist.
"It's alright if you'd rather not fight yourself... I understand." Socket taunted melodically, looking up to Yukina overhead. Communication over distance was simple, the right sequence of sounds created a command the Snow Owl could understand. Three sharp, shrill chirps sent Yukina winging out in a wide circle overhead. Scanning the surroundings, she returned those three chirps and tightened her circle around an area not far. She would get a big, juicy treat later from the meat market.
Knowing the exchange was observed, they tried to anticipate the opponent. Either a trap, an attack, or another movement... which combination would be next? Planning for all three seemed prudent at this point, so Socket set their own trap instead. Casting Lightning Lure with a simple gesture, five pillars of electricity appeared, spread in a fan-like pattern behind the automaton and waited to see what this hooded figure would do next.
