HONK HONK HONK HONK HONK HONK
Darkness and light coexisted in a tapestry of midnight of starlight hung from the heavens above Stargazer Village and the field that surrounded it. Deeper shadows clotted in inky pools adhered between tight corners and alleyways formed by the varied structures populating the small town where the intangible voids could exist outside the reach of celestial illumination — and the minds of the residents. Many of which were fast asleep at the late hour in humble homes. An equal number were wide awake, however, carousing in pubs and taverns like The Looking Glass scattered throughout the relatively quaint business district of the village. Such as it were. Far fewer stationed themselves in positions outside meant to view the stars and whisper tidings of prophecy hidden among constellations or the ever more popular subject of ardent trysts that kept the conspirators warm in spite of the chilly night air. Either way, their collective gazes turned to the skies or lover’s eyes and not to the danger that lurked in the dark below.
It hungered. It always hungered. The gnawing nothingness inside the pit of its stomach writhed. So too do its many heads as it awakened from a too long slumber spent inside an equally long forgotten crate that had once contained assorted produce. The latter had been consumed before the hydra’s hibernation to tide it over for the bulk of winter. That had been the intent, at least. The frigid season still had its grasp tight around the land, but the all consuming hunger would let Goose sleep no longer.
Wings weak with disuse and hunger hung limply at its sides as it rose, but it needed them naught. The heads pushed upward until the crate’s unfastened lid popped off and clattered to the ground. Most noises that night were attributed to the rowdy rabble engaged in feats of drinking, storytelling, and occasionally fighting beyond the closed doors of corresponding establishments. Only those nearby might realize that it had come from a different source. Said source cared little about the noise it had made. Goose was busy clambering over the side of the crate. Grace was not its forte. It plopped into the diminutive snowdrift piled midway against the side of the crate from a few nights prior when the sky had not been nearly as clear as it was now.
It shook the frost from its feathers before jabbing the cold substance with its bills just enough times to confirm it wasn’t food. The nuance of its mind lacked the refinement to feel disappointed, but that did not mean Goose didn’t feel at all. It felt deeply, in fact. Deeply angry that it was deprived of food.
“HONK.”

It was a beautiful night, clear skies enabled the sight of a myriad stars spelling constellations and patterns in the dark canvas up above, Arashi walked about, he had exited the tavern to get some fresh air and respite from the noise inside. He also carried a snack, a piece of bread that had put in his bag, mostly for an emergency, or more likely waking up hungry in the middle of the night, Either way as he looked at the sky he leaned against a wall to try and appreciate it all, it wasn't very often he could just kick back and admire the beauty of Charon an entire world which regardless of which origins you believe it has was absolutely astounding.
As he thought about and marveled at the size and beauty of it all, a slide and a soft crash broke Arashi's trance. It seemed the lid of a box had mysteriously fallen on a pile of snow, although his curiosity as to how was soon replaced by his curiosity of what the hell is that!? as he witnessed the cause of said box opening as it tumbled out and down into the snow... Five Goose heads attached to a single goose body pecked at the snow to seemingly attempt and figure out what it was... A sort of morbid curiosity overtook Arashi, as he approached to try and figure out this astonishing creature, what was it? How did it came to be? How complex was it?
So he began walking slowly towards it to try and not freak it out, crouching a little and extending his open hand a bit to show that he meant no harm. "Hey buddy..." he said in a gentle voice to call the attention of this creature and not be too close for comfort when it noticed him

HONK HONK HONK HONK HONK HONK
Motion at the edges of the aberration’s many peripherals drew its attention before sound had a chance to do so. A brazen Two-Legged one had dared to approach Goose. The man-beast offered a soothing oath to do no harm. Alas, Goose didn’t understand the worm-tongue speech of mortals. Its primal mind churned soft words into naught but gibberish so that the hand devoid of offering and an even emptier verbal assurance irritated rather than calmed.
Five heads turned in unison. Five bills brimming with glistening fangs opened in sync. Five battle cries of, “HONK,” split the once sanctified tranquility of night.
It charged. Webbed feet slapped against the frosted earth. Their bright orange hue aptly colored for a tale of caution even the most unwise would heed if it knew of the horrors Goose was capable of enacting.
“HONK,” it cried again. Wings remained limp at its sides, but its heads flailed to and fro with just enough precision to avoid entangling among one another. In spite of the ferocity of its rage backing the forward rush, Goose was still small in stature and stride. It consumed the distance between itself and its newest prey quickly, but not so quickly that said prey could not escape.
Yet.

Before he finished his small introduction, The Goosly abirdmination pointed it's several heads towards Arashi, A cacophony of honks was heard. Just what was this creature... It was fascinating for him, He knew of geese and Hydras he had sen a few of the former and knew the latter from books and stories, but this was his first encounter with such a fascinating Albeit seemingly angry animal. For a bit he pondered how it came to be, how it ended up in that box, and most of all how can he manage to pet it...
Yes he wanted to pat the multi-headed angry goose, for one of Arashi's weaknesses was animals, while he wasn't very experienced with them, since childhood he had always loved them, and would try to befriend them whenever possible. Maybe it was one of those childish things people carry into adulthood but the truth is he had a weakness for cute.
As the monster Goose approached with It's lil feet flopping about in the snow, Arashi suddenly remembered. He had food on him!!
So as the Goose was about to arrive to peck him he pulled out the loaf of bread he had been carrying in his bag, tearing a piece and offering it to the goose. Hopefully it'd like it! and if it did he'd pull a piece to feed all of the heads, not entirely sure how the creature's biology worked, He'd attempt to give a piece of bread to each of the five heads.
