Vakker raced across the surface of the sea toward the stolen ship, The Crimson Crusader. Honestly, he didn't need to get the boat back. This wasn't his job. He was only hired to protect the supplies inside the warehouse and that idiot hadn't managed to steal any of those. No, Vakker simply wanted to destroy the soggy bread basket that had dared to charm him and then order him around. Now that he knew the unassuming man was a vampire with that ability, he wouldn't allow them to do that a second time. He knew that ability required them to touch him, and that should be easy enough to avoid.
He raced forward, nearing the aft of the ship. A wave in front of him freezing into a perfect ramp for him. He jumped off of it, flying through the air and landing on the ship's deck, skidding to a stop. He looked forward angrily to see Mubashir behind the steering wheel. He called out to the still soggy vampire, drawing his attention.
"Did you really think I would let you get away after what you did to me? I'm going to freeze you to the mast of this ship and wait until sunrise!" Vakker declared furiously. The magic in the silver caps on his horns flared and his face looked like that of pure terror for a split second before he dashed forward, his fists forming a coating of ice on them.

Miserable, he was still dripping wet from the encounter back at the island. He had only gotten away with a warship and no supplies...how disappointing. A Warship can be bartered for many supplies Mubashir he thought to himself. Explain he demanded, but his thought was interrupted by the skidding of feet on ice and an awfully familiar voice behind him. Turning around, the only thought on his mind was Fuc- before the chunk of ice coating the satyr's hand slammed into his still bloodied nose. Terror filled his thoughts as he got fisted against the poop deck, barrel rolling through the air before indeed slamming against the mast. "Sshit! Sshit Sshit Sumaita! Help me! What is wrong I thought we were friends!" He crawled helplessly behind the large wooden mast, cowering in fear as in the shadows behind him, Sumaita materialized from wisps in the darkness. Rage filled her eyes as she dashed forward, fists clenched to engage the horned man hand to hand. She lets out a scream of primal anger as she recklessly lashes out at the well-dressed goat man with unaimed shots intended to distract and push the man onto defense rather than offense. "Be careful!"Vampiric Thrall Bloodlust

Vakker saw the robed woman running at him aggressively. So, this Vampire had a little thrall? Annoying, but not anything the Satyr couldn't handle. He scoffed and chanted a few words under his breath. A wall of ice instantly shot up directly in front of her and Vakker heard the crack of the impact from the other side. He immediately chanted a few more words and cracks began to web across the wall of ice for a short moment before it suddenly burst into hundreds of shards of ice, launching the thrall backward and barraging her with a vicious hail of the shards.
Vakker resumed his forward momentum. He ignored the thrall as he swiftly glided up to the cowering Mubashir that was leaving a puddle of sea water on the deck beside the ship's mast. With the master taken care of, the thrall wouldn't matter. He would take care of him quickly. The boards of the ship deck were coated in a slippery layer of ice as he went, and the puddle around Mubashir's feet froze over.
Vakker stared at Mubashir with a cold fury before he raised his ice-covered fists. He kept one ready to defend himself with in case the vampire tried to use any of his annoying abilities again and struck out at him with the other, aiming for his bloody, broken nose again.

Another icy crack to the face left his cheeks bloodied and bloated, Mubashir's left eye now swollen shut. The tattoo from the corner of his eyelid was grotesquely misshapen with the inflammation and swelling. As the devilishly overpowered goat guard pummelled the sad, defenseless vampire, Sumaita rose from her slumped crumpled position against the wall. Small shards of ice began to fall out of her skin, making small tingling noises as they fell to the ground. Sumaita seemed completely unfazed, and extremely peeved, she lunged, kicking off with her legs and faceplanting as she slipped on the ice. Now, crawling awkwardly on all fours, she angrily spider walked to the Satyr and attempted to bite at his leg with her sharpened teeth.
This just wasn't Mubashir's day, and it was only getting worse. His face! Who would touch the prince of the sands face and ruin it. He was once told it was his best feature, and now this goat-man was ruining it! What would that make-up seller think now that he was all bruised and swollen. Revenge must be had, the bruised and bloodied vampire patted around at the ground around him, looking for anything to use in his defense. His hand found a cold sharp shard of ice nearby, presumably chipped off the icey fists by his chiseled jawline. Grabbing it, he thrust upwards, aiming at the satyrs side abdomen, prison style as his advisor had once said.
It was at that moment, the wooden door behind them swung open. A previously unseen guard had been awoken by the vampire thrall colliding with the bunk wall. Perhaps avoiding his duty back at port, but now he seemed to be in the thick of things.
"What the fuck?"

Vakker just had to ignore the man's presence for now. He had no time to talk to them and explain the situation in the middle of this beatdown. If he let himself be distracted, it could result in another round of being charmed by the sun-intolerant wad of chewed up gum that was now trying to stab him with some of his own ice. A foolish decision on their part, really.
The Satyr glided back slightly on their ice covered hooves and held their ice-covered arms in front of them defensively as they spoke another word infused with magic. Their voice resonated for a split second like an opera singer's voice reaching the point of causing a glass to shatter, and something did indeed shatter. The shard of ice in Mubashir's hand cracked and then blew apart, tiny pieces of ice embedding in and tearing apart their hand. A few stray shards collided with the ice on their arms, but Vakker was left unharmed by the detonation.
The guard that had emerged from the ship's cabin panicked at the sight of the battle in front of them and the detonation of the ice shard. They let out a scream and ran to the side, trying to reach one of the lifeboats tied to the side of the ship to escape whatever was happening. Clearly, they weren't that loyal a guard.

Looking to the side, the last thought that crossed Mubashir's mind was How fortunate! The ice shard held in his hand exploded into a million pieces. While normally, they would expand and deal a moderate amount of damage, Mubashirs hand had wrapped around it tightly to find purchase. Searing pain he had not felt in a millennium erupted from his arm, looking down he noticed his had was no longer there. Replaced with a stump oozing black and tattered. Shock froze him to the spot as Sumaita found her footing and stood between the two quarreling madmen.
Blood...His blood...this wasn't how things were meant to go at all. A splash from off to the side broke him from his trance, the guard had loosened the rowboat and had let it fall to the water, pulling his breeches to hurriedly escape. Mubashirs face grimaced as the energy seeped into his muscles once again, erupting towards the guard as he attempted to mount off the side of the boat into safety. Sumaita followed, while her energy had been spent, she remained dutifully on guard, protecting her master. Grabbing the man around the neck with the crook of his damaged arm, holding his right hand from his sword with the other, he drank. Fangs struck deep in the jugular of the guard, rapidly draining him of his sanguine essence.
Moments later, he collapsed to the floor. Exsanguinated, he looked more like a mummy than the man he had been moments before. Mubashir knelt, his well hand covered his face as the injuries he had sustained rapidly recovered. His facial swelling receeded, and most of the minor cuts and bruises disappeared. His right arm, while not regrown, had sealed the open wound with a covering of flesh. More blood would be needed, but his energy and will to fight had also replenished.
"This is far from over, Goat-boy."

Vakker clicked his tongue as he witnessed the man get sucked dry. He felt pity for him, but no empathy. Damn fool should have gone back inside. Why would he think running past the fight to get to the lifeboat was a good idea? The used sponge and his fangirl probably couldn't open a door to save their lives. Vakker let out a sigh and rolled his eyes when the desiccated corpse fell to the floor. At least he hadn't provided enough blood to grow his opponent's hand back, but it was annoying that most of the other damage he had done was reversed. Oh well. He'd just have to do it again.
Then Mubashir called Vakker "Goat Boy." Any comparison to a goat angered the Satyr. It wasn't just rude, it was horribly offensive to him. Vakker seethed with anger, his fists clenching at his sides as a fresh layer of ice grew overtop of them. He smiled a menacing smile as he spoke, his anger apparent in his voice.
"Oh, I'm glad it's not over. I'll have plenty of time to enjoy this."
Vakker whispered something under his breath and a sudden, painfully cold breeze blew over the deck of the ship and across Mubashir and his thrall, freezing their skin and chilling them to the bone. Vakker raised his ice covered fists in front of him, ready to continue the fight.

While Mubashir may not care about the cold as much as the next guy, his actual body was still vulnerable. Both of their skin began to crack and blister, with a puzzle-like chunk of flesh falling off of Sumaitas face. She didnt even budge, Mubashir knew it would grow back with a bit of blood, but for the time being, worried what would happen if she took a punch or something else. Were he able to see his own face in a mirror, he would have seen what looked like a mask of cracked porcelain in the shape of his own visage, fragile and a stiff breeze away from breaking apart.
The wind picked up and blew the sails, the water around them slapping against the boats sides. Mubashir could see the rowboat drifting off into the distance. In the other direction, it seemed as though they were approaching shore of some kind. The calm shine of a lighthouse slowly came into view. An escape, this situation was rapidly getting more dangerous than could be handled. Mom was gonna be so mad. He turned around, Sumaita guarding his back, and attempted to get into the door that the guard had exited from earlier, perhaps there was another row boat!
Alas, grasping at the place where the wooden handle should have been, it was smashed. Presumably frozen and shattered in the barrage of attacks that had taken place here.
"Shit" Out of desperation, He exhaled and blanketed the area in fog once more. Instructing his vampire thrall to hide behind the mast, while he hid underneath a small set of stairs leading up to the wheel. Thinking quickly, he grabbed the broken handle and tossed it into the water nearby. Genius!Bog Fog Cowardice Quick Thinking (1/1)

Vakker was annoyed as the fog covered the ship again, obscuring his vision and just delaying the inevitable. He was eager to stomp this soggy waffle named Mubashir, but was in no rush. He could beat the man as much as he wanted in time, and even if he couldn't, they had already trapped themself. There was no way off of this boat that Vakker couldn't easily out speed with his ice magic. He just stood ready to defend himself, listening for the creak of wood or the sound of footsteps to signal if his opponent took the fog as an opportunity to attack. But, no attack came. All he heard was a small splash in the water, but it was too small to have been from a person jumping overboard. Did he throw something into the water?
The fog drifted away as the boat moved forward and out of the stationary cloud. Vakker looked around cautiously, but didn't immediately see his two opponents. Were they really hiding from him? That Mubashir really was quite cowardly, wasn't he? He looked past the front of the boat and saw the approaching land, the glow of the lighthouse signaling their close proximity. Ah, so that's their plan. They want to reach land and then run, don't they?
Vakker smiled and walked over to the steering wheel, keeping an eye out for any sudden attacks from the hidden cheese curd or their thrall. He slowly covered more of the deck in a slippery sheet of ice as he went.

It felt as though another thousand years passed as mubashir hid beneath the stairway that the goat-man walked up. The clops and creaks of his hoofsteps slowly ascended above him, stopping near the supposed location of the wheel. The cracks and crackles of wood freezing was jarring. The aft of the ship as a bit higher than the deck, due to the quarters housed underneath. This made it potentially Mubashirs best opportunity to get the frosty capricorn into the water so they could escape. He was clever, not going for his excellent diversion plot. Mubashir would need to be cleverer. The fog that he had summoned had largely cleared now, only settling in the corners of the ship that it could not escape. What a waste.
He gave Sumaita hand signals that he was sure she understood, her nodding enthusiastically reassured him that it was communicated well. Mubashirs body melted into a thin wispy mist and rose, seeing the goat guard standing cautiously near the ships wheel. He positioned himself overhead, materializing just feet above his head and dropping down. He attempted to grab the mans horns, and maneuver his descending weight to flip the foolish goat warrior over the side of the ship.
The lighthouse and coast were getting fairly close now, Mubashir could see a small hamlet sitting along the coastline, Quite peacefully in the moonlight. Everything moved so fast he hardly had time to appreciate it while descending on the goat. Mostly because he could hear the capstan holding the anchor chain go CHUNK, and the chain rapidly descending full speed into the icy water below.
Silly Sumaita, that's not what he told her at all.

Vakker stood in front of the wheel. If Mubashir wanted to escape to land, then he'd just turn the boat around. Easy. However, as he began to turn this ship around, he noticed a smokey wisp of smoke rise from beneath the edge of the elevated section of the deck. It went up and over the railing and floated above the Satyr's head silently.
Did- did the vampire think he wouldn't see that? Did he think Vakker wouldn't notice the mist? Maybe if he'd done that while the fog was still obscuring the ship, but why did he wait until the fog was already left behind? Was- was he really just that stupid? Vakker was so puzzled by Mubashir's strategic mind that he almost forgot the mist was directly above him for a moment, but he snapped back to his senses when a shadow suddenly loomed over him from the vampire reforming back into a solid block of chee- I mean, a man.
Vakker was about to dive to the side, when the ship suddenly lurched from the anchor hitting the sea bed and catching on something. Vakker slid to the side on his ice-covered hooves, into the railing. He looked back to where he had been just in time to see Mubashir's face slam into the ship's wheel.
Who the hell just dropped the anchor, and why?

Mubashir wasn't quite sure what happened. first the goat guard had been under him, next it was the captains wheel that found itself in his landing area. It was as if the entire ship had shifted during his fall. He slammed face first into the poled wheel, sharply jamming it sideways. It spun wildly before slamming to a stop at the far end of its total rotation. The Ship lurched forwards, and to the right, still coming to a stop from speed by the anchor. He had seen Moongladeans drift sideways like this in their speed carriages long ago, as the ship sharply began to tilt sharply towards the water on its port side.
"Sshit! Sshit! Truce my friend, I'm only now drying off!" Mubashir mumbled, holding his jaw as he stumbled around on deck. The imprint of the wheel post had broken the frozen skin on his face in its shape, how dreadful. The only snack left on board had two horns and apparently a lot of bottled-up anger. Another lurch of the ship found Mubashir flying into the water, having not grabbed a good enough hold on something solid before the apex of the swing. With a splash, he was back in, honestly not even a few hundred yards from the shore of the hamlet and lighthouse. Thuds on the deck echoed throughout as Sumaita dove with a running start after her master, leaping off the banister the goat guard had anchored himself on. A crash could be heard from below deck, and the telltale signs of smoke began to wisp from cracks in the floorboard. It would seem the guardsman hadn't turned off his lantern before his perfectly timely demise.

Vakker looked down at the smoke seeping up through the floorboards and pressed his palm to his face. Damn, this ship was about to burn. That was going to be a lot of paperwork and boring conversations trying to explain what happened here. Well, maybe he could just pretend he wasn't involved. The only possible witness left was that waterlogged neck biter and his equally soggy side of thrall. Vakker doubted they'd be coming forward in court anytime soon since they were the one to cause this whole mess in the first place. He'd just be on his way and act like this never happened.
He looked over the side of the boat, holding the railing tightly so he didn't fall off, and looked around in the water for Mubashir. He spotted them splashing their way toward the relatively nearby shore. His stroke seemed a bit off kilter, probably due to his missing hand. Vakker smiled and climbed over the railing before jumping down toward the water, abandoning the burning ship.
The water froze as soon as his hooves made contact, and he landed atop it in a three point landing, bending his knees and bracing himself with one arm to absorb the impact. He stood and started skating toward Mubashir, his hands behind his back still covered in ice. When he was upon him, he aimed a hooved kick right for the back of the swimming man's head.

He heard the splash of Sumaita, and felt her cold hands wrap around him, pulling him back to the surface to begin swimming towards shore. Great, this night was just event after event making him cold and wet. Was this a long term plan by the goat man? Simply a cat toying with his prey? He was a cryomancer...how powerful could he be? Such foresight. Wow. His swim strokes were interrupted by the telltale crackles and gliding behind him. Quite the persistent bugger was he not.
Looking behind himself as he swam, the last thing he saw was a hoof as it connected to his face. The ice quickly enveloped him as it froze the water around him. Sumaita held tight, quickly becoming frozen to the chunk herself. And they floated there, a hunk of ice in the waning moonlight, drifting towards shore. It was nice, relaxing. Mubashir was still conscious in the Mubashicicle, he could see the guard inspecting their work. Embarrassing, if his father could see him now, he would be disowned once again. Sumaita at the very least seemed to be enjoying herself, a soft smile on her face lingered, frozen in time with her eyes closed.
It would be an hour or two before they washed ashore, which was fine. Though, for a moment, when Mubashir had a glimpse at the horizon, it almost seemed lighter than it had been all night. Peculiar.
