Vi'ira watched as Veran stood over by the window, his gaze fixed on the outside. Her eyes curiously studied his silhouette while she had a moment to look without seeming invasive. She tried to imagine how a man of only bones could be functioning before her as if he were living. If he were only bones, that meant there was no heart, nor brain. Now, that was a mystery. If they weren't sitting ducks, she would whip out her journal and sketch him.
She was torn away by his voice as it cracked the silence around them. She ushered over to the window, peaking over his mask, only to see hordes upon hordes of undead slowly approaching the village. A green glow illuminated behind them as they walked, followed by a large undead drake carrying a hooded figure alone. The drake walked in tandem with two others that stood on either side, their faces all equally gnarled and destroyed.
"God damned Necromancer," she hissed. She couldn't take her eyes off the road, as if she was frozen. She had dealt with the undead before, but never at this large of a group. And owlbears? Oh, merciful Moon. She watched as they continued to move, and the screams once again began to fill the streets. For a moment, she just wanted to drop to her knees and pray, pray that her Moon would get them out of this mess unscathed. But...there was no time.
"If we did our best to circle 'round, what are the odds that works? There's clearly a leader, and if we take 'em out, all the undead minions go with 'em." She began to pace around the shop, her left hand resting on the hilt of her rapier. "Then again, there's only two of us...But ye've got that light magic! That's got to be stronger against the undead than wind and water." At this point, she was rambling. Her mind really was racing, and she showed it. She looked to Veran, desperate for any other ideas.

Veran turned and stroked his chin as she rambled different strategies and possibilities, and placed his other hand for a brief moment on her shoulder to steady her, leaving it their just long enough to calm her racing thoughts. "Think... fla...nking... bes...t... opt...ion..." He glanced back out the window briefly, adding "Mi...ght... be... easier... for... m...e... th...ough... Un...dead... prob...ably... drawn... to li...fe... But... if... we... sw...ing... out... wi...de... eno...ugh... they... not... no...tice... you..."
He moved towards the door, motioning for her to follow him as he made his way out and started weaving in-between the different buildings as he tried to circle around the hordes' right side. While they were still further out it didn't matter as much, but as soon as they began to closer he would widen the berth he was giving them in order to compensate for Vi'ira's life force, something the undead would be drawn to. The further out she stayed from them, the easier their endeavor would be.
It wasn't long after they began making their roundabout way towards the horde did the rest of the village warriors make themselves known, with them and regular townsfolk alike attempting to put together some form of barrier, vying to make a defensible position for themselves.
