While there was a place to admire the unwillingness to bend, it didn't play on her favor on this situation. Should this scene be framed under any other light, Kamille probably would have admired Vikram's determination. Instead, the swordsman was an obstacle.
...Or was he? Vikram was a reasonable man, not a blind young man filled with rage and righteousness. Maybe there was a way around that that could benefit both of them.
"I'm sorry, where are my manners... My name is Kamille. Despite the ominous and much troublesome situation we are in... It's nice to meet you."
Maybe this man could help her uncover a part of her father's past that even she wasn't aware. Vikram had said that Benethuil had betrayed him, that his words forced his hand. It was always a surprise to discover how much of one's life people could conceal, specially for those really close. Kamille had become increasingly aware she had a fatal blindspot for those really close to her.
For the moment being, seeing as how the man was terribly suspecting of magic of any kind, Kamille didn't present herself as her most well known title.
"Sir Vikram, I believe that everyone deserves a second chance - maybe not forgiveness, but at least another chance in life. And while I can't give you back the time you spent recovering from such betrayal, I'm willing to do the next best thing I can. For the end of your hunt, I will pay the price."
Kamille was aware that some warriors often felt outraged at the notion of paying for what they viewed as their "honor". Kamille wasn't the honorable type, so sometimes such notions slipped her. Her oppressive aura contained once more, she approached the warrior. While there was no doubt she was an arcane weaver, she was also an incapable liar, which meant for her honesty even more earnest. The woman approached slowly, carefully, the feathers of her clothing swaying softly in the nightly breeze. Gently, as if to not scare him away, she laid a comforting hand on his forearm.
"One cannot expect a daughter to abandon her father, don't you think? Not without knowing for sure, absolutely, there is no more hope for him. I'm willing to help you in whatever you may need... Should you abandon this manhunt right now."
