Sarris walked long as well she kept an eye on that cell hoping what ever was in there did not want them. Hopefully it would recognize they were not Evia and meant no harm.
She stayed away from the grate. It was a habit she had from wearing dresses. She did not want anyone or anything grabbing her legs. Sarris walked slowly around the lab looking at things. Vials and beakers with colorful liquids many just about dried. Send beds with seedlings and papers with notes. “Evia has bad handwriting,” Sarris said. Partially to cover her trouble reading but she could tell it was bad.
She looked at some of the experiments and they looked like strange drawings
When she came to a cage containing a dead pixie, Sarris was ready to torch the entire place.

Minora giggled lightly as she read the book.
“We all have bad handwriting, usually only other mages tend to know what we are writing, think of it like doctors how they write things we do the same thing. Though i can’t make heads or tails of what she’s written in this book, it’s a mixture of ramblings and theories, medical documentation.”
Minora threw books to the side, opening them and closing them inside for lack of words, this time nothing but words but all together did not make any reasonable sense. It was then that tapping of heels could be heard at the entrance of the laboratory. A woman stood there with short black hair with long bangs covering her left eye, her attire was white and brown, she dressed typical of mages, her eyes though blue and tried looking. Evia smiled as she approached the tree.
“What took you so long Minora, figured you would have tried this months ago. You even managed to wrangle Kamille’s ward here as well, even the manipulator now. Well i’d love to hear the questions rattling around in that brain of yours Minora.”
“Okay, What is the Aislefnoise? What’s it’s purpose?”
“Minora, what is a mother’s purpose? To care and love for her children that is what Aislefnoise is… Mother to all of us, she only wants to spread and…
As she spoke from under the grate loud noises and inhuman screams could be heard as things fell about, Evia rolled her eyes and quickly walked over to the grate opening it and yelling down.
“Quite you freak i’m talking! I’m sorry about that. I know how curious the mind can be, i’ll let you two leave but I want Sarris just to bring this to Kamille. The witch's curiosity will bring her here.”
Evia held out her hand and in the palm of her hand was a piece of wood the same color as the Aislefnoise, it gave the same hum as the tree gave off.
“This is me offering peace. I can give this to Kamille in a different way and let her find it on your corpse than let anger and revenge drive her here. I would suggest you take my peaceful offer. You really don’t want to meet what I have down there.”

Sarris watched the woman as she gave her terms then she looked at Minora. Looking back and giving a slight curtsy, Sarris said, “Mistress Evia”
Sarris seriously thought she was going to call on Mab to get her out of this. Mage fights in their lab were dangerous. A rumor probably spread by mages to protect their labs. “Mistress Kamille will receive your gift,” she said letting to wood fall into a bag to limit its contact with her skin. When it came to strange magics, it was better to not let them probe you too much less they find a way into you.
“As to the threat on my person, Mistress Kamille is fond of me as is a little girl is to kittens. But her loyalties are not to me,” she said. “My death would not draw her here,” she said taking a few steps. “It would though draw my cousin and this Vanguard, Mage killers as they are more commonly called,” Sarris said in a cold tone.
“Mitress, I have not stolen anything from you. I also have shown you where your defenses are weak. If I were to have taken something, I would have taken the rubies in the living room. I just want the books that need to be returned to the library…” she said.
Sarris had moved into a position to fight if needed. She also tried to appear open and calm..
Master Ray had shown her to look for weaknesses. Fighting a mage at their head and hands plays into their strengths.

“Oh dear I know you haven’t stolen from me… You however have read things and i know how your twisted little brain works. Sarris, you're free to go.”
Evia stared at Minora and vise versa, the air inside the room grew heavy as if a storm was right on top of you but had not truly hit yet. The large tree in the middle of the room gave off a loud song, it was beautiful and enchanting. The song reminds of something primal and sweet: a loving mother’s embrace.
“Minora you have stolen from me but you can be redeemed, your psionic abilities can amplify the Alisefnoise song. You can spread her song to all of Sol City, oh this is simply wonderful.
Minora looked over at Sarris less angry than she was before and now gave off a more confused type of outlook. She didn’t have any answers and her mind was so filled with questions that she didn’t even know how to form them, her head began to pound as the green aura given off from the Alisefnoise began changing to purple. To Minora next to Evia stood her brother Alon, a young knight like he always dreamed of being a member of the King’s royal guard. Minora smiled as tears came down her cheeks.
“Alon? Look at you…”
“Minora I forgive you just please come join your mind with us, don’t let me die again big sister…”
“No… I didn’t let you die, I would never harm you…”
Minora began slowly walking from behind the table, she moved like something was holding her back as well as pushing her forward like a part of her mind was trying to fight against whatever the Alisefnoise was trying to accomplish with her, Evia looked over towards Sarris and smiled placing her hand on the young woman's shoulders.
“Now come on Sarris, how about i make you some tea before you leave?”

Sarris watched the interaction of the women. The tension was so thick that the air weighed heavy.
“No thank you,” Sarris said as the hairs on the back of her neck were on edge. Magic was filling the room as Minora, Evia, and the Alisefnoise had a battle of wills going.
Pushing her own will to protect her mind, Sarris fought for her own space in her head. “I still need the books and scrolls to return to the Library,” Sarris said holding up the contract as if this was some strange dream.
She was having to push against the powers flying about.
As Evia and the Alisefnoise turned more of their attention to Minora. Sarris forced her will into a spell of her own. Bit by bit she made the dirt from the pot flow out exposing the plant’s roots. The plant in turn let out a psychic scream. With a loud voice Sarris screamed back throwing up a stone wall blocking access to the plant leaving it in a dark cell of its own.

The moment Minora heard the refusal on Sarris’ part she quickly looked to her left and raised her hand up causing the wall next to the grate the monstrous sounds were coming from to come apart. A large piece of the wall broke off from the rest and landed on top of the grate preventing anything from coming up through it.
As she did, a vine quickly wrapped itself around Minora’s leg picking her up before slamming her on the ground hard as Evia screamed and the green hue that once lit the room became blood red and the calm feeling turned into malice.
“Have you finally lost your mind!? We offer you salvation but if you’re really bent on dying then fine!”
The vine whipped around throwing Minora clear across the room slamming over a table in the far corner of the room, Minora looked injured, her head was bleeding so was her nose and lip while her clothes were cut and dirty obviously something that would have driven her mind. She never had actually been hit like this before her body was paralyzed from the pain, her vision was fading going black all she could feel was pain.
After a few moments laughter not the type you heard before coming from the Aislefnoise but actually in the room coming from Minora she was laughing in a way she never did before it sounded mixed with crying, her hair turned an even brighter shade of red becoming this dark red fire as her green eyes turned to a pure orange. Her body moved but it looked very much like she struggled a lot with getting up, out of breath she said.
“Hey…Bitch, you ruined my clothes, you know how much effort it takes me to look like this!? The hours to fix this ugly being into one of beauty and you ruined it! I don’t fucking care about those stupid boring books… I’m going to roast you alive!”
The tone of her voice how it mixed laughing with sadness how she didn’t speak like herself nor carry herself as she did before, she raised her bleeding right hand up two blood red with hint of black flames appeared in her hand they danced and quickly went off as a quick response the Aislefnoise blocked the incoming firebolts as they collided with it’s bark causing it to send out this high pitch shrill of pain leaving it and Evia in a vulnerable state.

Being in the middle or even off to the side in a mage battle is not a place you really want to be. As the two mages threw power at each other, Sarris ducked and rolled under a table to avoid being hit.
Evia hit Minora hit a tender spot, her outfit. Sarris understood that. She had spent a lot of time trying to get noticed, and even more trying to send the message "do not touch."
The walls crashing down on the grate gave Sarris time to change into one of the few animals that she knew chewed on wood. Within a few heartbeats, she transformed into a beaver. She waddled across the floor for the plant. It would not take a lot to kill the plant. A beaver could chew through shrubs in minutes, for Sarris it would take a little longer.
As she turned her head and started to knaw, she noted that the wood tasted like there was blood in it. After a couple bites blood flowed down the plant. Bother Evia and the plant screamed and the roots wrapped around Sarris trying to choke her. Sarris kept her teeth into the flesh so the blood would flow.

Sanre had been waiting on Sarris for a day now. Sarne was getting worried about her. Sarris had not returned in some time and was thinking about to go look for her. Sarne considered what he should do about his old friends and how he could find them. Sarne got up and walked in looking into the sky and watching some birds fly by.
sarne could not change the nagging feeling that something was wrong with his cousin it was that nagging feeling again the one he always gets when she is in trouble. Sarne started to walk back towards the stables again. He asked the others around there if any word had come back about Sarris . If he did not hear something soon he would go looking and find out what happened to her.
