Buckler | The Buckler is a unique, one of a kind shield invented by warriors who wanted to keep their shield hand free. It is a small, light weight shield normally made out of wood or light metal. It gets strapped to the forearm and covers the area from your wrist to the elbow. It sits attached to the arm, keeping your shield arm free and still allowing you to defend yourself. The buckler can take two strikes from a non magical source before it is rendered useless. -One attachment slot- | 1 Point | 25 Solars |
War Shield | The War shield is the most common shield seen in Charon. It gets strapped to the forearm and is held in one hand, but is a bit larger than the buckler. When held out stretched it can cover the mid section of the user, and protects the area between the waist and shoulder. Its popular with warriors who like to get into the fray. The War Shield can take two strikes from a non magical source before it is rendered useless. -Two attachment slots- | 2 Points | 35 Solars |
Kite Shield | Much like the War Shield, the Kite gets strapped to the arm and is held in one hand, however is bigger and covers more area than the war shield. The kite shield is pointed at the top and bottom, allowing the user to defend attacks aimed at the head or legs. Due to being pointed, the Kite shield can also be used to bash or attack with, giving it a defensive edge. The Kite Shield can take three strikes from a non magical source before it is rendered useless. -Two attachment slots- | 3 Points | 40 Solars |
Tower Shield | The Tower Shield is the highest peak in protection, a massive slab of wood or metal, the Tower is able to protect an entire side of the body and when held out front can even be used to partially cover another person. Strapped and held in the hand, the Tower shield covers the area from the feet to the head. This however makes the shield very heavy and hard to wield. Spikes | Spikes are small metal rods sharpened at the ends and stick out about half an inch from the Shield they are built into. These spikes are very sharp and act as a offensive protective barrier for the shield. These can be used offensively to stab into an opponent, and can even cut foes who get to close when making their own attacks. | 15 Solars |
Loaded Spikes | Loaded spikes are very similar to normal spikes, being half an inch metal rods with a sharpened point. However these are built into the shield with springs. In addition to their normal stabbing potential these spikes can also be triggered by a mechanism to send the spikes flying out in any direction up to 20 feet. | 20 Solars |
Heat Treated | Unique material built onto a shield to give it resistance to fire damage from spells or enchantments. This will give that shield one extra hit prevention that can only be used to block damage from a fire based spell or enchantment. | 20 Solars |
