Blue Raspberry listened to their friends as they continued their climb up the cliff. They were happy that neither of them seemed angry or scared of them. Blank even gave them some advice that seemed like a good idea. They hadn't really thought about using some kind of excuse for why they never take off their armor around people, but it made sense to.
As they neared the top of the mesa, they could see the temple in the distance, but there were other people in front of it. They looked a lot like the people that Edward and Raspberry had fought together in Moonglade. What were they called? Cultists? It looked like they would be fighting some more.
"I have an idea. I can ambush them. I have been practicing something." Blue Raspberry said to their companions before their body began to shift and change again. They shrank down, their mass hiding itself away in some mysterious space inside them, until they were tiny. They had transformed into a little lizard made of blue jelly-like material. They focused for a moment and their outer membrane started to change color and texture. After a moment, they looked like a perfect recreation of one of the tiny lizards the group had seen on their way here (that Blue Raspberry had eaten a few of while they weren't looking). The little ooze turned lizard smiled up at the other two before scampering away toward the two cultists.
The cultists stood guard, idly watching the path in front of them. They paid no attention to the little lizard that scurried past them. That is, until the lizard started growing into a 7 foot tall humanoid shape just behind them. They turned toward it, startled, but Blue Raspberry placed a hand on each of them and they both felt an electric shock course through them, making them go numb and drop their weapons. They clenched their teeth as the shock ran through them.

Edward can see that Blue’s ambush of the cultist was successful, but when the guards drop their weapons in shock, the clattering of the weapons made some sound that seemed to attract the attention of one of the being guarding the door to the temple. A large demon like being stomps its way from the door to the cultists guarding the pass. The being that stands 8 foot tall, with red skin, a long tail whipping around in rage, spike like protrusions sticking from its back, and two large black horns yells out in rage, “Intruders! How dare you foolish creatures be here! Do you really think you can just walk in here? How arrogant of you.” It raises its hand as the fire that sprang up from its palm coalesce into a massive ball of raging flames. The demon throws the ball at Blue, not realizing that there is a group behind Blue that would’ve been a better target. Edward sees the massive fire ball that is hurling towards Blue and raises his hand. His hand radiates glyph of golden light that flies out and expands into a wall of golden light1 in front of Blue that blocks the fire ball from hitting Blue. Then Edward uses the remaining light that is radiating from his hand to weave a glyph that flies above the heads of the demon and cultist. The glyph expands to cover the area where the demon and cultists are standing in and a golden rays of light shine from the glyph that burns at the skin of the demon and cultists when the rays touches them2.

Blank was hungry. The effect Rasp had on her made her completely forgot about eating at all. She probably had a couple more days before it becomes a problem, but she also had to find a spot for her own. Eating people would be a bigger deal than being a slime. She stayed behind after Rasp's ambush, which was a good decision. The creature that showed up didn't notice her and Edward, allowing for a suprise attack. Blank rifted behind it and waited for Edward's light to stop raining. Then, when th creature tried to throw fire at her companions again, she caught one of his horns and bent his head backwards. Her second arm pulled out her blade and thrusted it in creature's neck. Tried to.
Desipte Blank's strengh, the armor prevented any major harm. She felt the horn slip out of her hand and the creature turned back. And it froze, seeing her. Probably he was not used to seeing beings taller than him. Blank repeated the blow, aiming for the neck again. There was no point in hitting elsewhere, the armor here was already broken, and other parts of it would only get thicker. But the creature blocked her blade, bouncing it to the side. -No matter what you are, you don't belong here! Die! He released a wave of dark, that pushed her back a good couple feet. They still were close to Rasp, so he potentially felt it too, but Blank was too focused now to notice. The creature meanwhile once again tried to throw fire, this time she was the target.

Blue Raspberry turned their head around 180 degrees to look at the one that had thrown a ball of fire at them. Thankfully, a wall of light had blocked it, but they still noticed the sound of the small explosion and saw it had been aimed for them. They could see a strange creature with horns and spikes that they had never seen before. They let go of the two men in their hands who fell to the ground and turned the rest of their body to face the temple as light rained down.
They felt the usual instinct to eat the two, but they thought it would be best to wait. They could see past the spiky person there were more cultists and another creature with red skin, a tail and a pair of curly horns like a goat. The creature was even taller than the other one. The two cultists and the two creatures were a bit hurt by the light raining down, but not fatally wounded.
Blank appeared behind the first creature suddenly and attempted to stab it in the neck, but it didn't seem to work. It looked at them and sent out a wave of darkness. At their distance, Blue Raspberry was hurt by it a little, but not too badly. A bit of the ooze on their arms bubbled and fell off as they shielded themself from the wave. Then, the started to create fire again, but this time it would hit Blank with it. Blue Raspberry ran forward at the creature and wrapped their arms around it from behind, shocking it with their electricity. It yelled out from the pain, but didn't seem to be hurt as badly as the two cultists had. This creature was obviously much tougher than they had been and wouldn't be taken down so easily. Thankfully, the shock had been enough to interrupt their fire spell though, the flame fizzling out before they could toss it at Blank.

Edward can see that his fellow companions are having a bit of trouble trying to take on the demon guards and the cultists. Edward can see that the cultists reinforcements are now almost here and summons a ball of mists from his hands that he throws at the reinforcements. The ball of mist expands and forms into a spiritual web1 that entangles the taller demon and the two cultists. The attaches to the ground and somewhat stops the taller demon and the cultists from moving, although it seems not for long. Edward holds out his hand as light gathers in it, forming a glyph of light that shoots out towards the smaller demon that is engaging his companions. The glyph elongates into the form of a bright spear of light2 that pierces the demon in the chest. The demon roars out in pain and shoots out a bolt of dark green energy at Edward. Edward raises his staff to block it but some of the energy still touches Edward, burning him with corrosive dark magic. His staff seems to rot from taking the brunt of the bolt and no longer burns with fire. Edward sees that this battle isn’t going there way and summons more mist from within his body and gathers it around his body. The mist forms into the figure of a silver armored knight and a snow white wolf3 that move to the sides of Blue and Blank in defensive positions. “These are my spirit guardians, they will protect you from getting hit.” Edward moves the wall of light to cover the front of himself.

After Edward's attack the being is wounded enough to actually try and kill it. It released another wave to prevent Rasp from getting closer and after the wave faded Blank rifted in front of the creature. Before it can realize what's happening, a black tongue reaches its eye and pierces through eye hole, squirming inside and searching for brain.
The enemy screeches in agony, trying to catch her tongue, but it quickly leaves the eye hole. Just to dive into the second one.
Meanwhile the creature was immobilized by Rasp coiling around it, allowing Blank to finish it quicker. Just as the enemy was no longer a threat, the group going towards them escaped the magic and started shooting bolts of dark and green energy at them. Blank rifted towards one of cultists and slashed it wih her claws, releasing a fountain of blood. Normally it would be dead, but a dark energy similar to the one in bolts they shot stemmed the wound. She had to back out to her companions.
-The horned thing is obviously the biggest thread. Should we take it out first, or eliminate cultists to make it easier afterwards? Her stomach growled impatiently, there was no way they missed that.

With the horned creature in their arms screaming in pain from their eyes being stabbed out by Blank, Blue Raspberry grasped them tighter. The creature flailed, their hands covering their eyes that were bleeding pitch black blood, not noticing as their back sank into the blue ooze behind them. They were slowly pushed in by Blue Raspberry until their head was enveloped. They pulled their arms free of the ooze and tried to brace themself against it to pull themself free, but their hands just sank in as well. They struggled, their arms being pulled in from the elbow down.
The entire time the horned creature was trying to escape from the ooze, they were being continuously shocked by the electrical aura. Quickly, there was nothing visible of them except their claws feet sticking out of Blue Raspberry's chest. The ooze looked up from their meal to see more cultists approaching along with another horned creature. The other creature was larger than the this one and clearly stronger. It also seemed to be somehow keeping the cultists around it alive with some dark energy. Blank's attack on one looked like it would have no effect until the demon was gone.
The demon was enraged by the strange sight of their brother sinking into the ooze and disappearing. They let out a roar and raised a hand into the air, a small mote of flame inside their claw. The flame suddenly expanded into a massive ball of fire that floated above them, ready to be released on these mortals that would dare to not only harm its brother, but seemingly devour it.

The demon roars in fury and throws the massive fire ball from his hands towards Blue and Blank’s direction. The spectral wolf spirit guardian moves right in front of the fire ball and roars in defiance. The massive fire ball seems to shrink and its power seems to be diminished as flies towards the wolf. The ball of fire impacts the wolf, which engulfs the wolf but wasn’t able to hit Edward’s companions. As the fire fades away, the wolf is still standing although its spectral form shows cracks along its body and mist keeps seeping from the body. Edward sighs in relief as his companions are safe. He moves towards the bigger demon and past his companions. He mentally moves his wall of light to fly alongside him and when he is close to the demon, he mentally shapes his wall to encompass both him and the demon to block anyone from coming in or out. The demon laughs at the stupidity of the human as he could easily tear this human apart. Edward can see this and smile at the demon. Then, Edward’s body starts to grow and his skin starts to grow massive amounts of fur. His face elongates into a snout and his hands stretch and form into long claws. Now, as a werewolf, Edward roars out in rage and raises both of his claws up in the air before slamming them down across the chest of the demon. The demon screams in pain and summons thin beam of energy from his hand that shoots out and binds Edward’s life force to the demon’s life force.

With both demons taken care of, Rasp and herself now faced just cultists, now only two left. They split up, each with its own cult member. Blank picked the one with a greatsword of his own, perha[ps he would accept a duel. She stood with her sword in front of her, parallel to the body, and moved it to the side, opening her chest. The cultist repeated her movements, opening the duel.
She charged forward, without rifting. Her enemy rushed as well. With both of them wielding heavy swords, one successful hit was potentially enough to end the fight. With first clash, Blank felt the unusual strengh of the cultist. The duel became even more even. Both of them seemed to play safe, keeping their blades close for blocking and circling each other. No words involved. Only body language, which in cultist's case was rather hard to read. His enemy was unproportionally tall, with not blinking, almost lifeless eyes. And just moved differently than everything he was used to.
The stalemate was broken by cultist, dropping his guard and attacking furiously. The cause would be Rasp finishing his enemy, but Blank didn't really have time to check. She had to block three swings before she could counter. Blank backed out, gaining some space, and slashed vertically, putting into work her longer ams and sword. The cultist got almost halved, with the upper part holding on a quarter of what was there before. But he kept on fighting, almost hitting her, until he collapsed like a tree over the cut.
She turned around and indeed, Rasp was finished. They both stared at the cage fight behind the light wall.

Blue Raspberry watched Blank and one of the cultists perform some strange action. They looked at the other remaining cultist and tried to mimic it, using a bit of their ooze to create their own sword that they held horizontally across their chest for a moment. The other cultist stared at them in confusion before raising a hand and sending a beam of purple light at the ooze. It seemed this cultist wasn't going to return the gesture, which disappointed Blue Raspberry, but they had no time to worry about it.
They quickly lifted the sword made of ooze in front of them to block. It managed to stop the beam, but the sword was destroyed, bursting into a splash of blue liquid. Blue Raspberry ran forward toward the cultist who began casting another spell. A wall of bones and shadows lifted up out of the ground between them. The ooze turned to the side, running around the wall. They ran past the wall to see the cultist facing them with more purple energy in their hand. The beam shot out at the ooze, catching them by surprise. It grazed their side, scraping away a chunk of their body and splattering more blue liquid on the ground.
Angry, they reached their pseudopod-like arms forward and grabbed the surprised cultist. The man had expected to kill the creature with that last spell, but it had managed to almost avoid it and not receive a fatal hit. The cultist's thoughts were interrupted by a burst of pain as electricity coursed through him. He went limp in Blue Raspberry's grasp, the wall of bones and shadow melting away.
Angry and wanting to regain the lost mass from the wound, the ooze pulled the unconscious cultist in close and engulfed them, devouring them whole. They turned to see Blank just about to finish her fight with the other cultist. The two then watched the fight between Werewolf Edward and the demon isolated inside the wall of light.

Edward can feel the soul bind bidding his life force to the demon in front of him. He snarls in disgust at feeling this dark energy tethering him to the demon and bites into the thread of energy emanating from his chest. The dark thread of energy wavers before disappearing and Edward give a toothy, vicious smile at the demon. The demon tries to back away but stops as the wall of light prevents him from moving backwards. Edward can feel that his control over the wall is disappearing as the wall of light seems to fade in and out. He raises his claw and etches a rune out of blue mist that emanates from the tip of his claw. The rune flies directly into the wall of light and seems to strengthen it so that it is no longer in danger of fading away. Edward then focuses on the demon, who was gathering fire into his hands while Edward was focusing on reinforcing his wall of light. The demon throws a massive fireball that engulfs Edward. As the flames and smoke clears away after a couple seconds or so, Edward still stands as his burnt skin and scorched fur is healing at a rapid pace. Edward snarls in rage and rapidly jabs both of his claws into the demon. The demon screams in pain and tries to move away from Edward but Edward charges forth into his wall of light and pushes the demon against it. It struggles to get out and wildly swipes at Edward in panic.

The cornered creature desperately slashed Edward with its claws and it was enough to turn the tide of this battle. It was now Edward who was backing out, not very able to attack, the cage now working in demon's advantage. It laughed horrifingly.
-I'm going in Blank tried to rift through the light wall and succeeded. Leaping above it would be rather hard and she was not sure if Rasp could give her a boost. Conveniently the demon was standing backwards to her, so she gained the first hit.
She took care of it being as strong as possible, however the giant sword, somewhat small compared to the creature it dived in, didn't do much of a harm. At least Edward got some space to breathe now.
Blank barely managed to pull the sword back out when the demon turned around. He greeted her with a ball of fire in one hand, and a dark one in another, already prepared to strike. She dived beneath both projectiles and aimed for the leg. While the blade didn't manage to pierce the skin, the force alone was enough to release a satisfying cracking noise.
The demon fell onto his knee and Blank tried to finish him like the second one, but he caught her tongue mid air. While it sliced his hand a little and poured some blood, she was now vulnerable.

Blue Raspberry had no way of assisting in this fight with the wall of light blocking them. They looked around for something to do and spotted the door to the temple. This temple was the whole reason the group had even come here. Maybe they should work on finding a way inside. The door was sealed shut. There must have been some other way in. The ooze made their way around the building, looking for any kind of mechanism to open the door, but finding none. After a moment, they passed around the side of the building and spotted a staircase leading up to a hole in the wall.
Spotting what surely must have been the real entrance to this temple. They ran forward and up the stairs, peaking into the hole in the wall. Inside the temple, the hole was a fair distance off the ground, about ten feet in the air. Maybe this wasn't the real entrance. It at least wouldn't work as an exit for most people. More importantly, the inside of the temple was not empty, like Blue Raspberry thought it would be. They could just see another one of the horned creatures, mostly hidden behind a wall. It stood, facing the door as if it was waiting for it to open. This one was even larger than either of the first two. Its eye level was over ten feet. It could look through the hole in the wall just by standing. It has two different pairs of horns on its head, resembling a stag beetle and a ram. The legs were like a goats complete with cloven hooves and it had a long, forked tail. It was clearly more powerful than the others outside.
As Blue Raspberry took in the appearance of this new demon, another demon was screaming and thrashing about. The demon they had consumed was now inside them, trying to escape. The three gnomes stood there, staring silently as it threw a temper tantrum.
"So, um.... do we, like, try to talk to him, or...?" Nathaniel started, but Brian put a hand on his shoulder and shook his head.
"No way, let's just wait until he leaves like the others. No one else sticks around for long, anyways." he stated.
"I dunno, this one seems a bit different. I hope he leaves too, but what if he doesn't?" Thomiel added.
"Then we wait until they calm down before we talk. He doesn't look to be in much of a talking mood right now anyways."
The three watched on as the demon continued clawing at nothing in the endless blue space.

Edward feels the impact of the demon’s claw and backs away to to regroup. However, he never expected the strange black humanoid to interfere with this fight. He sees that she is in a dangerous situation but can’t feel compassion for her as his mind is filled with wild instinct and uncontrollable rage. She got herself into this situation when she didn’t need to. A beast doesn’t need help from lesser beings. Edward howls in rage at the demon for turning its attention from him and rushes into it with his full weight behind his body. The demon is driven back into the wall again but is still gripping at Blank’s tongue. He then swings at the demon with his claws and slashes through the demon’s chest. The demon responds to the attack throwing Blank at Edward in hopes that Edward would be distracted by trying to save her. Edward swats Blank to the side and continues to keep swinging at the demon. His claws slash deep into the demon, who tries to conjure up a wall of bones to separate the two of them but before the demon can finish conjuring up the wall, Edward uses his other hand to dig his claw deep into the demon’s chest. The demon slumps to the ground and Edward dismisses the wall of light away. Edward then rushes at the temple, following the scent of the ooze.

Blank felt a pull on her tongue and tried to resist. If she'd stand correctly, the only thing demon would achieve is to cut his hand even deeper. But she didn't have time and was sent flying at Edward, who got himself together and was now attacking their enemy. Edward was in rage state, so well known to Blank, so she rifted away before hitting him, to avoid being attacked herself. The fight was soon finished, with wall dissapearing and demon bleeding heavily from his chest. Blank halfly expected Edward to dip his teeth into the corpse, but he rushed at the temple, not looking back at either of them. Well, more food for her.
She pulled out her sword, still stuck in the demon, and started sawing the horns with it. After that she cut the head off and pierced it with her tongue, swallowing whole. The creature tasted great, much better than humans she was forced to eat before. After the meal Blank followed Edward, rifting a couple times to catch up to him. Main doors were shut close, opening them would take a lot of time. And judging by the abscense of her new slime friend, there was another entrance. Edward went left, so she followed him., keeping safe distance.
