Carrying Capacity
Everyone loves running into battle with their trusty sword, mighty war club and an arsenal of deadly spells, however weapons can get heavy and the knowledge of spells can be overwhelming, preventing a warrior from running into battle with an untold amount of items, and preventing a spell caster from knowing every spell in the world. Here on Charon we have created capacity limits for our items, with most weapons and spells having limits on how many you can have at any time. Upon creation a character will only have access to a limited amount of things they can have and can use, however through the use of upgrades in our shop members are able to purchase things to increase these limits, letting their characters grow over time.
Spells
Spells
Spells are magical effects that those with the ability to cast them can learn by various different means. From reading them in books to studying them under a professor, most spell casters are taught how to do a spell, which they must then remember for a later use. Starting out a new character can only learn a very limited amount of spells, only having access to 10 spells right away. These can be any combination of domains or levels and all share the same limit. However the amount of spells any one person can know can always be increased by purchasing spell focuses, spell books or other items that allow them to remember more spells. Reward spells from events do not count against this limit, however spells from specialty shops do. You may earn more spells than your limit, keeping them stored away in your inventory, however they must be marked unusable until your cap has been increased and you are allowed to use them.
Items
Items
Items work a little differently than spells since they are physical objects that can be carried or worn on the body instead of being remembered or stored in the mind. Items and weapons will have a number tied to them based on their in character size or weight, limiting how many of a certain item can be carried into the battle field. New characters will have a specific number of points they can fill, using the items listed points to fill this limit. Starting out a character can have up to 12 points worth of items, and can increase this limit by buying items such has bags and chest. Each item in the shop will have a certain amount of points tied to it, which can be used when determining what you can or can not carry.
