NAME: Z’Khrta (Zak) Putok
AGE: 32
RACE: Human
NATIONALITY: King’s Valley - Sunset Plains - Nomadic tribe
GENDER: Male
APPEARANCE:
Z'Khrta is lean and muscular. Height - 6’2” (188cm/1.8m) Weight - 180 lbs (80kg). He keeps his black hair pulled back, and his beard trimmed. His eyes are an intense green. The streaks of white in his hair and scar on his face are the result of a mishap while attempting to summon lightning.
PERSONALITY:
Z’Khrta is personable and charming, but reticent about himself and difficult to read until he trusts. He tries to give people the benefit of the doubt, but others often disappoint him. Their petty concerns and dramas, their lack of emotional discipline, their quick tempers. His complaints are endless. But that doesn’t mean that he is a loner. He enjoys socializing and swapping tales with other adventurers, and he places great value on making trusted friends and allies along the way.
HISTORY:
Z'Khrta grew up in a nomadic tribe with the Putok clan in the Sunset Plains of King’s Valley, at home both in the plains and the forest. Z’Khrta always introduces himself with his given nomadic name, but goes by 'Zak'. Pronouncing the hard guttural sounds of the name elude most, and their attempts to pronounce it often cause his head to ache.
Growing up in a tribe of fierce warriors, the young Zak felt odd. Unlike his comrades, he didn’t yearn to be a great hunter, or to engage in great battles to be won. This was not due to any lack of skill on his part, Zak could hunt as well as the others, but it gave him no satisfaction. The killing, whether of poor beasts or of an enemy, while necessary for the tribe’s survival of course, unsettled him. He felt no pride in his supposed successes, only remorse and sadness. The irony was that in the years since, Zak often thanked Ginma for having those same skills when danger struck. Came in quite useful.
Ginma had entered his life early, the Nomad Stone one of the few constants in his life. As a youth, he heard whispers. Whispers that made no sense at the time. Whispers hinting at elemental forces yearning to be tapped. Those whispers were stronger now these many years since, clearer. And more and more, he has finally been able to tap into their force.
Zak believes that tapping into elemental forces is his destiny. Although he left his tribe at an early age, setting out alone to explore the world, he always returns to King’s Valley. Even though most nomads superstitiously refuse to enter its shade, the Kingwood calls to Zak. Most can not fathom the mysteries of the majestic forest, but, to him, it is the source of the elemental powers he seeks to harness. He has spent his life in pursuit of his destiny with, as he used to believe, Ginma and Ziev slowly paving his way.
Given current events, Zak has lost his belief in Ginma and Ziev. He is now even more determined to understand the primordial and elemental forces that bring him his magic.
