Eirynor manages to sheath his sword and catch Fish just as the unbandaged disappears from sight. The golems at their backs grind to a stop, frozen with their weapons still raised. The half-elf looks down at Fish then at the staircase before them. For a moment he considers going back past the golems to see if they can regroup with Shael, then he decides not to bother. It'd be easy enough to explain her disappearance.
Continuing forward, Eirynor would carry Fish is the avianfolk wanted him to, otherwise he would let them scout ahead for traps. He does glance at one alcove that appears to be missing a stone golem, to match all the others, but he pays it little mind as they head up the stairs.
The staircase goes up quite a ways before leading into another stretch of hallway. The corridor is littered with bone debris, but unlike the first hallway, all of them seemed to have been used to create traps that lie broken against the walls. It looks like something forced its way through all the traps, breaking them along its way with no regard for setting them off in the first place.
The half-elf thinks back to that empty alcove, and signs to Fish that he suspects that they aren't the first to come through here, and maybe someone took control of the golem after getting through the first hazard. It's a wild leap, but he doubts the tomb's protectors would destroy their own defenses themselves.
Meanwhile, Shael slides on her ass down the chute until she is dumped into a pit of sand.
"Oof! Gods! Stupid traps." She sits up and shakes the sand from her hair as she looks around.
The chamber is void of any source of light and feeling along the back wall reveals that the chute is too high up to climb to.
With a huff, she pushes herself back up onto her feet and starts feeling her way around the chamber in hopes of finding a way forward. As she runs her hands along the walls, she feels one of the stone shift. She doesn't debate whether or not it's a good idea to be pushing mysterious buttons in the dark, she just pushes it and hopes for the best. The sound of grinding stone suggests something opened and she shuffles her way to an opening in the wall.
After stumbling around in the dark for a few minutes more, and stubbing her toe a few times for good measure, she eventually sees some light flickering in the distance.
"Hey! That you guys!?" She calls out towards what she assumes is torchlight.
A moment of silence passes before the light starts to get closer and there's an echo of several sets of footsteps approaching. It takes Shael less than a moment to realize that whoever is approaching is far too loud to be either the silent half-elf or the stealthy bird.
"Fuck," she swears as she reaches for her fighting knives only to realize that she lost them when she fell down the chute. "....Great."
The light swells and a group of rough-looking tomb raiders come into view with their weapons drawn and pointed her way. A gruff-looking wereboar with tusks poking out of his bottom jaw snorts as he looks down the sight of his crossbow at the dark elf.
"Well, well, looks like a rat snuck in after us."
Shael gives a sideways smile as she raises her hands in surrender. "Would you believe me if I said I got lost looking for a washroom?"
