Sarne chuckles at what Dante says. Sarne looks at Dante with a smile "I would say what you said to be true," said Srane seriously. Then gets a sly smile. "I would say it depends on what she looks like," joked Sarne.
Looking back up to Videl. "Most nobility you are born into it. But you can become a Knight and work your way up from there are titles you can gain. Like Barron, and Earl, or even Lord if the King deems it. or if you own land and pay tax," Explained Sarne.
"You can be knighted by a Duke or Lord of nobility if the requirements are met. But for me, I must also earn my station my family never gave anything for free. Your word and reputation can speak more than a simple title." clarified Sarne. Sighing, Sarne looked at the ground. "It's not an easy road to follow. If you keep doing what are doing and be around those who wish to adventure you will make it soon enough." Sane said trying to give Videl hope and a way to reach his goal.
Sarne walked over to Screech and mounted the Terror Bird. It made a few screeching noises and looked at everyone stretching its big wings. Sarne patted it on the neck a few times. To calm the Bird if you wanted to call it that. "Dante, you riding with me?" asked Sarne.

As the pair beside him had continued to speak on the matters that Videl had asked about, Videl himself would remain quiet and simply nod along from atop of his Frigid Steed. What they had said, on the matters of nobility had made sense to him. Despite having come from a tribe that had resided outside of the Pale City, Videl had managed to learn a bit about the Pale City from his own experiences there. Said experiences had allowed for him to uncover rumors and such rumors were all that he had known of the nobility of Frost Gale.
Aside from King Tarvian the Third, the dwarven king that had presided over Bleak Fort, Videl had come to know of the reigning prince of the Pale City. Zalen Marrowvine. A supposedly snobbish dark elf that managed to secure his position with the assistance of his parents, whom themselves had held great power within Sol City. Given what he had known about the pair, the fact that one could obtain a noble title through nothing more than blood ties had held true. True enough to leave the T'saya further annoyed when it had come to figuring out the best ways to become nobility of his own.
"Speaking on this matter actually brings a few things to memory for me." Although he wouldn't come outright and say it, the nobility of the Pale City have been attempting to grow the city to the point that the tribes in the area had been losing more and more of their homeland. Videl's tribe, the T'saya, falling under this category. "In the event that you manage to get this party of yours going, be sure to keep an eye out for those amongst the tribesman that might not be too keen on your presence. The Specters might not find themselves all too thrilled by your presence."
Seeing that Sarne had mounted his Terror Bird, Videl would prepare Lumi for their own departure. The group wouldn't quite move until Dante had made his decision, as to whether or not he was going to be riding with Sarne, but Videl had wanted to be prepared nonetheless. "And just so you know? The tribes of Frost Gale care to have more parties than you are privy to."

Dante acknowledged Sarne with a nod and said, "It won't be my first time aloft on a flying creature though I hope the bite of the cold can be abated by my furs." He looked over to Videl and flashed him a wide toothy grin and said, "You don't say? Well then we're more in alignment than you have suspected when we first met. This should be interesting, you'll have to get me in touch." With that, he mounted the winged beast following Sarne and prepared for take off.
As they were collecting themselves, he couldn't help but comment on the political landscape, saying, "It's the nature of nobility and kingdoms to conquer, settle, and rule. It's as natural to the court as a river is to the ecosystem of the oceans. My best prediction, and this is me being quite positive at that, is that the tribes and the Pale come to a truce or treaty agreement that is agreeable to both parties until that peace is eventually broken. Someone is always going to be driven by the ambition to conquer. Might I suggest a humble alternative?"
He looked to Videl and said, "The only reason kingdoms don't conquer other kingdoms comes down to power. If you'll have my council, then I would strongly recommend finding a leader with admirable qualities and uniting the tribes under one banner. Outside forces will be hesitant to take violent measures, and it will make negotiations more fruitful. There will be dissenters of course, but better to hear the complaints of cantankerous neighbors than for those same neighbors to be put to the sword. Again, my apologies for the allusions to the gruesome, but you seem like a straightforward and blunt one that appreciates such honesty Videl, and well..." he thumbed towards Sarne and said, "Having friends on the other side is a good place to start. Perhaps that leader should be you Videl."

Sarne thought for a moment Dante was right he was showing leadership qualities and caring for the people in this land. Interest that what goes on in the wilderness and keeping a balance between the two. with time he will make a good leader.
Looking at Videl while Dante climes on to Screech. Sarne wondered if he should say something to add to what Dante said. Screech let out a shriek Terror birds are known for as it shakes off any snow or ice. Getting ready for flight it stretches its huge wings and shakes its head then cocks it looking at everyone. Sarne pats Screech on the neck confronting Screech.
Sarne looks over to Videl "On my land, people do not follow my house or family just because we are nobles, Videl. They want to follow us because they know we care and have their interests in mind. Unlike most noble houses we try to earn their respect not demand it. So they fallow us out of respect." Sarne started to explain.
"Showing valor, chivalry, honesty, and compassion people will want to follow you. I see those traits in you Videl. One day I know you will be a great and noble leader for your people here. If you put your heart into it people will see that and be inspired. Never sell yourself short. Remember Cowards never start. The weak never finish. Winners never quit. make valor, chivalry, honesty, and compassion your watchwords and you will make it far," suggested Sarne with a reassuring smile getting Screech ready to fly.

While the pair had attempted to impose onto Videl that he should take up the mantle of leadership in these parts, Videl would contemplate what it would be like if he had actually gone through with as much. While it was certainly something that he had considered at some point or another, it wasn't exactly an easy feat. In order to accomplish such a task, he would need to obtain far greater power than he already had. Enough to keep any threat at bay.
After a few minutes of introspection on the matter, Videl would sway his head from side to side. Until he had acquired an inordinate amount of strength, there was no real reason for him to think on it. Especially with everything that is going on with the Specters and their bratty prince. "I'll be sure to think on the matter as time goes on but for the time being, there isn't a need for me to concern myself with such a thing. Perhaps once the people are inclined to trust in me.. but not a moment sooner."
With a soft shrug, Videl would gesture for Lumi to head off towards the clearing that he had mentioned previously. "I appreciate the words that the pair of you have offered to me nonetheless. Anyways, let us be off." And with that, he would spur his Frigid Steed onwards, requesting that she pick up the pace. From a walk to a trot, and from a trot to a gallop, Lumi would take off. As she had done so, the others might notice the small clouds of frost that would form beneath the Frigid Steeds hooves. Then again, it was entirely possible that they wouldn't catch wind of such a thing, given the increased height difference between them.
After about an hour of travel, Videl would find himself entering the aforementioned clearing. The snow-coated clearing presents a serene and enchanting scene, transforming the landscape into a winter wonderland. A pristine blanket of snow covers the ground, creating a soft and glittering carpet that extends about a mile in every direction. The clearing is a peaceful oasis, surrounded by tall, snow-laden trees with branches delicately adorned in frost. The snow, pure and untouched, reflects the soft glow of ambient light, casting a gentle, ethereal ambiance across the clearing. Each snowflake seems to shimmer like a tiny diamond, creating a breathtaking mosaic of glimmering crystals. The air is crisp and still, with a quiet hush that muffles sound, enhancing the feeling of tranquility.
Hoping that Dante and Sarne had been not too far behind him, Videl would request that Lumi come to a stop in the middle of the clearing. Once she had done as such, Videl would dismount his Frigid Steed and would look up towards the sky, waiting for his travel companions to arrive. Hopefully it wouldn't take that much longer for them to land.

Dante blinked in surprise with how quickly Lumi moved. While he didn't suspect Screech was flying at top speed, it was still noteworthy that a land bound creature was able to reach its destination before Screech did. He held on tight to the beast until they had landed, the dusty snow swirling in a cloud of small diamonds. Dante hopped off and said, "Sarne my good sir, you might wish to invest in an ice bound steed if your Screech is going to be outstripped by a snow covered mare." He chuckled in jest and said, "In any case..." he did a little spin, arms outstretched and said, "This is absoLUTEly beautiful! Breathtaking and beyond the confines of my considerable compliments!"
He put his hands on his hips and said, "Yes Videl, I believe this will be an excellent spot. Hopefully your Specter friends won't be too perturbed by our presence. Inviting such distinguished warriors and magi could cause a stir if they are unaware of our intentions. Hopefully they don't mistake us for a raucous war camp."
Dante turned to the others and said, "If it's not self evident then I'll make it clear thusly: you are all of course invited to this gathering. Turn out varies, heroes and what not are busy saving the world and what not. Hopefully we will have a decent turn out. Sarne is the most qualified to speak on the substance and quality of my parties having been to one."

arne shook his head "Screech slow? Screech was just gliding on the wind. I did not want to go fast. I wanted to take a look around better. Screech could fly mountain rage in 24 hours. Stay in the air for days. Outrun drakes twice as fast as a racehorse. Screech was not even trying," said Sarne informing of Screech's abilities. "People like to underestimate Terror birds not many of them out there as mounts." Sarne further explains Terror birds.
Sarne looked around this is a beautiful spot. The contours of the land with the snow and ice reflecting the sun were Stunning. Sarne was in awe of this place. If Sarne could make a winter home here Sarne would. Thinking for a moment Videl knew this land well Sarne was impressed with Videl's choice.
"Videl! outstanding choice this is so perfect. The contours of the land with the snow and ice reflecting the sun are Breathtaking I don't think Dante could have worded it better." commented Sarne stretching out his arms and turning looking all around. "You Videl are a master of the land," Sarne said loud with a grin. Sarne was playing a compliment to Videl and trying to see if Sarne could get an echo of sound.
"Dante, now where do we start," asked Sarne looking excited.

While he was loathe to admit it, Lumi most assuredly would have lost if it truly came down to a race between the Frigid Steed and the Terror Bird. If it wasn't for the fact that Lumi could gallop at a rate of about twenty four to thirty miles an hour than their journey would surely have taken longer. Thankfully there were other aspects of the Frigid Steed that Videl had appreciated. Her speed hadn't needed to be one of them. "Right, of course. While Lumi may be fast when I will it, there is always the consideration of terrain hazards. Where Screech might be able to simply soar through the skies, unimpeded by anything other than other skyborne creatures, Lumi would have to be careful to avoid any difficult terrain that we come across."
Not that it had truly mattered to the T'saya. So as to prove this much to his mount, Videl would even go as far as to reach out and hug Lumi before returning his attention to those that had accompanied them. "As for your comments on the land and my invitation to this party..? Well I suppose that I am willing to come out here and meet those that have such horrifying capabilities. If nothing else, it'll go on to show me how much I have to grow. And well.. Of course I know the land surrounding the area." A soft laugh would escape his lips as he had continued to gaze upon the pair. "When you come from a nomadic people, it makes it easy to find oneself familiar with the land itself. Just be sure to clean everything up from this party of yours, once all is said and done."
Of course Videl had been curious as to the answer that Dante would have in response to Sarne's query. What were they intending on doing next? From Videl's understanding, they were simply scoping out the land for a party that would occur in the future. If that were truly the case than just what had they intended on doing now that they had uncovered a prime location for the festivity?

Dante gestured to Sarne and said, "I admire your enthusiasm my good sir, but we are merely in the planning stages. Patience is a virtue in my line of work. Simple and mundane things like taking measurements, considering the weather and terrain conditions, and applying logistics in say waste disposal. There are quite a lot of yucky and boring details you don't see an MC do. If we've done our jobs correctly, we make celebrations look elegant and easy. You don't get the commission of even a minor earl with sloppy prep work. Now let's see..."
He stroked his chin and surveyed the land. Dante was quite adept at Space magic which had given him a unique sense of direction and distance. He could get a rough estimate of how far, wide, or voluminous a space was from the sheer level of talent and study into spatial awareness as well as his tutelage in Space magic. He was already learning so much so fast that he wondered if he could keep making excuses to receive Kamille's instruction or at least her company.
His attention drew back to the task at hand and said, "This is quite a large area. We should be able to withstand the maximum entry to our little soiree. We should make sure we can easily see the sky and the landscape as the view is the most significant element of the region. A bonfire wouldn't hurt either. Much of the party materials I use burn cleanly so as to double as both festive accents and good kindling. Wood could be an issue which means we'll need to bring some of our own. Fireworks aren't a half bad idea either though it won't break my heart if we don't use them. The lights alone put fireworks to shame."
He looked back to the others and grinned, saying, "One idea given our recent conversation about the velocity of different species of mythical beasts has me thinking that a race through this valley here could be entertaining. Even an aerial one. I can inquire with some of my colleagues about setting up hoops for flying creatures to fly through as checkpoints. Could be fun to see Screech and Lumi strut their stuff."
Dante nodded and said, "The biggest spacial concern is lodging. We'll probably have to use insulated tents, and I suspect this will be the most costly part of the project. The valley will prove to be frighteningly chilly and uncomfortable even under the heaviest of furs. That, and I imagine many will wish to see the glorious dawn if they aren't too hungover. I know Kamille has magic to alter the confines of a closed space to be larger than it appears. Perhaps I can recruit her help in exchange for complimentary drinks."
He folded his arms and said, "And that my friends is simply my first thoughts. There are other elements that I have surely overlooked in my first estimation. One thing for sure is I'll have to camp out here for at least a night to get a feel for the day-night cycle. Videl, your input here would be most appreciated. Same to you Sarne even if you don't share the same intimate familiarity of this specific region as Videl."

Sarne thought for a moment looking around at the land there were not any close by caves Sarne could see. He had enough rations and furs to stay warm with a fire. thanks to some training with the Civic Harbor Guard and a few tribes. Sarne could hold his own out here as a hunter. First, they needed shelter without that they could freeze to death that night if they were not careful.
Then there was Screech he had to stay out of the wind Terror Birds are use to being in high high altitude places like mountains so they can survive the cold with a little help they just had to find a low spot to stay out of the wind.
"I am sure Videl has more detailed information on survival here than I do. I think shelter should be first an iglu or snow hut would be a good idea and they don't take long to make," suggested Sarne feeling the snow on the ground. "If we find a low point and use it it should help with the wind as well," says Sarne standing back up. "I will do anything Videl suggests he is the expert here on this land." Sarne said looking at the two.

Out of respect for the master of ceremonies work, Videl would opt to remain quiet as he had watched Dante take in the land around him. The fellblood had seemed to have a decent understanding of what he had come here for and was quick to assess the capacity of their future event. Seeing the man work like this, and listening to the words that had flown from his mouth, had been enough to intrigue the T'saya. While he had considered joining the party at a later date, so as to meet these supposed heroes, he had now found himself curious as to how the whole situation will turn out.
Once Dante had requested his opinion though, Videl was sure to respond in kind. "Well to start things off.. I wouldn't recommend utilizing these fireworks of yours. Not only would they disturb the serene nature that I have provided but they would ultimately serve to frighten the creatures within the area. While it might work out in your favor if the creatures are to rush off out of fear.. It's what'll happen if they decide to scope out the scene that I am worried about. Even with these supposed heroes of yours. No reason to stir up trouble where there doesn't need to be any."
A soft sigh would escape from his lips as he had continued on. "As for maintaining a warm temperature? While I can't attest to this, given my own nature, there are those amongst my tribe that claim that Yurts serve the purpose that you are looking for. They are durable structures that can withstand the snow and more often than not are insulated. It it what my people make the most use out of since they can be moved from place to place with only a few hours work in set up. Far more efficient than taking the time to put together an igloo."
Towards the end of his thoughts on the matter, Videl would recall something that Dante had mentioned only moments earlier. Something about a woman known as Kamille and her overall capabilities of expanding a space beyond its usual confines. Something that Videl could only assume was done by great magics. "..now that I've given you my thoughts on the matter, would you perhaps mind answering one of my questions? This Kamille that you have mentioned.. Are they perhaps a great mage of sorts? And if so, are you aware of the magics that they might wield?" Depending on the capabilities of this Kamille individual, Videl could quite possibly find some answers to the questions that he had initially set out for. At the moment, depending on the answer that Dante gave, this Kamille might be his only hope.

Dante nodded and said, "Yes, fireworks might not be the call. I've never heard of beasts who would come towards loud noises and bright lights, but there are firsts for everything I suppose." He took out his little black book and made a quick note and said, "Yurts... got it. The igloo was a cute idea, I think we could have at least one if only to add to the scene, but yurts seems the more economic approach. Hopefully our turnout isn't obnoxiously large though given the climate I would say that won't be an issue."
He stopped wiggling his pen when Kamille came up in conversation. He smiled and set his book away in his coat pocket and said, "I can't say I know all that she can do. She's certainly well studied, intelligent, and very talented. She's mostly taught me the arcane art of space, or at least expanded on my current knowledge."
He grinned and added, "I could arrange for you two to meet should I persuade her in coming. She came to one of my parties previously, and she seemed to have a good time. I'm sure she'd consider the offer. Was there any particular kinds of magic you would be interested? Not to be presumptuous but perhaps of the ice variety?"

Sarne chuckled. "No the igloo was for tonight unless you carry one of those Yurts," remarked Sarne. "Your idea is best besides the igloo would have to be large to large to handle a party," stated Sarne starting to wander around more looking over the area. He seems to be looking for something searching the ground.
"As for Lady, Kamille," Sanre emphasized the Lady part. "She is, well, if you wish to call Lady Kamille a powerful Arcan user. I would agree with that point. There are a lot of things I have seen her do. Lady, Kamille is a good friend of Dantes and I," explained Sarne still looking around. Sarne stops and looks at Dante and Videl. "Lady, Kamille does give instructions in the matters of Arcan magic Lady, Kamille gave my cousin Sarris lessons. I got to stay with her for a month." Sarne told Dante and Videl.
" I don't see any tracks here so this place is not well traveled. The fireworks could draw things Like." Sarne paused "Ice Drake maybe." said Sarne with a smile. "So, Videl what could we expect for monsters in this area other than Ice Drake?" asked Sarne thinking of what could be a problem here it would be tough. Thinking about his friends Sarne shook his head " Well if it is not a god we stand a chance." remarked Sarne.

It wasn't the animals that he had been worried about but the creatures that extended their strengths beyond the norm. Creatures that might tear through the area and cause harm to those that don't deserve it thanks to their innate fear or curiosity of the situation. Thankfully Dante had been more or less willing to relent on the situation, having seen why it would have been such a bad idea. Sarne had as well, albeit apparently having only mentioned the igloo for tonight. "I suppose that putting together an igloo for the night would be fine as well. It'd probably take about an hour or two for me to put an igloo together for the two of you. You'd think that I'd be capable of achieving such a feat with my glacial magics but alas.."
Thankfully the conversation had returned to the topic of Kamille rather quickly. While it was certainly possible for him to build an igloo that would last for the pair, he hadn't quite wanted to work on such a thing if he hadn't needed to. It was far more work than he was willing to expend at this point, given what he has to do after setting out from here. "Well studied and talented are certainly the kinds of things that prove useful in this world. Depending on the breadth of her knowledge, she might even be capable of helping me figure out a thing or two, to which I have yet to obtain such answers."
At the mention of having himself introduced to the supposedly great lady, Videl would nod along in appreciation of the thought. "If you are willing to introduce the pair of us than I would greatly appreciate it. While I'm not looking for assistance in regards to any particular magic, there are a few questions that I would like to ask her. Questions about blessings and curses. Or more specifically, which of the two I might have." A soft laugh would escape the mans lips at the most inappropriate of moments as he had raised his hand into the air, calling upon small whisps of frost. "If we had to narrow it down to elemental types than sure.. I suppose that the elemental types would be referring to the blessing of fire and my own glacial magics."
The conversation would then branch off into another direction yet again as Sarne had asked him of what other creatures might lurk within the area. In truth, there were several that were likely to crop up from time to time. Figuring that it would be best to name a few here and there, Videl would do exactly that. "Well let's see.. There are a few creatures that are more or less exclusive to the area that you might not be aware of. Given that there should be high tier heroes here though, I'll only mention those that might pose a threat."
As he had continued on, he would count them all off on his fingers. "There's the Glacier Ticks for starters. These large horse sized ticks that weren't too much of an issue in the past but as of late have been more trouble than one might care for. Glimmertongues as well but hopefully you wouldn't come to see one this far away from the caves. Insectile creatures that range in size that hold a hypnotic effect within their light. Fought a few dozen of these myself. Truly worrisome when their magics grab a hold of you. Yaguareté could be thrown in the mix; each of them being incredibly territorial and hazardous to be around. Ambush predators to be certain. A few Ur-Beasts as well, which I highly recommend straying away from, lest they wipe out those that come to this event. The most dangerous of those that I have thus far listed. Aside from that, I'd be on the lookout for Primordial Idols and Trolls as well. And perhaps the most dangerous..? The one that I truly feel would tear apart those of this mortal coil? As I mentioned before.. The Rime Guardian."

Dante smiled and said, "Consider the meeting of Kamille and yourself a certainty. It will come to pass. And as for your bestiary, I must say those sound like rather fearsome creatures. Though this Rime Guardian you speak of sounds to me like the kind of creature that is perfect for a ghost story." He looked over to Sarne and said, "I don't know if you have the stomach for more horror in your life given our unfortunate introduction to one another, but I'm sure a spooky story pales in comparison to the things we've seen."
With that, he busied himself with helping set up camp. He had set his backpack aside earlier and had come up with a traveler's tent. The fabric itself wasn't heavy due to the weight of carrying furs around. Instead he had gotten a slight alchemical treatment to it that allowed it to retain more heat. Between that and the furs he already had, and the large fur blanket that was the bulk of his travel weight, he was prepared for an evening's rest under the Frost Gale sky.
I should not dally once the morning comes, he thought. I only have enough food for a couple of days. Perhaps Sarne will expedite my travels.
Once he had properly set up camp with the others, he would find a comfortable spot to sit and said, "Please Videl! Tell us the tales surrounding this Rime Guardian. I'm sure if you saved them for last, and they are as frightening as you claim then there must be some sort of legend surrounding them, yes?"
