Beist had no idea how to react. He really wasn't used to being handled like that, especially given his usual size. It took him a few moments to even process that he'd been put back on his feet, but when he'd finished, he suddenly gasped in panic and looked past the bush toward the ooze.
"Has it split yet!?" He wondered out loud, staring intently at the rocky shore of the stream where the ooze was still in the process of splitting. He sighed in relief. He hadn't missed it.
While he watched, the seems appearing all over the ooze deepened and then with a pop, all at once, the ooze burst into tens of smaller copies of itself that all flew in every direction. Many of them went into the stream and floated away on the current. Some flew into the forest and slimed away into the undergrowth. One smacked Beist in the face and bounced off into the bush he was hiding behind.
"Bit more violent than I'd expected..." Beist muttered as he rubbed his forehead. He wrote down his observations in his notebook and stowed it away before turning to the still more shark-like than usual Percy.
"Sorry, it's alright. I'm fine. I drank a healing potion. You're not hurt anywhere? Speaking of things being more violent than I'd expected, I had no idea you were a Werebeast as well! A Wereshark! You seem awfully in control of yourself. More than other Werebeasts I've known. Is that inherent to you, or to all Werebeasts in the sea domain? I've never met any aquatic Werebeasts before. I mean, you did smell like fish, but I thought that was just you. Ah, I didn't mean that as an insult or anything..." Beist spoke awkwardly, hoping he hadn't accidentally offended Percy. He looked around for a change of subject and spotted the man at the base of the tree.
"Is that man still alive?" He asked, running over to the crumpled figure on the ground.

Well....hard to say the little fuzzball isn't dedicated to his craft. Percy looks around the immediate area as Beist takes his notes. Oh sure...none of these idiots could drop a coin purse or a locket? Something valuable at least....What a bunch of pricks.
While things settled, Percy let out a breath and slowly started to drop back down to his normal form. He fished another dirty roll of bandages from his coat and started to wrap his destroyed eye once more.
"I wasn't exactly given a feckin handbook!" He snaps before quickly pulling back and dropping his shoulders in a sigh. "Sorry...It's a feckin complicated story." The note about smelling like fish is more just part of being a triton, but Percy wasn't going to get into that.
He follows after Beist, grabbing the bandit by the back of his collar to lift him up. Completely limp....."Yeah, I think he's dead." Percy gives the body a little unceremonious jiggle before dropping it back into the dirt.
".....ow"
"Oh...guess not, well....Should we get back to Lloyd er what's next?"

Beist was surprised the man was still alive with such injuries. His back looked broken along with probably some of his ribs. He was lucky to still be alive. Beist wasn't a fan of the man or what he did, but he also wasn't a fan of leaving people broken or dead.
"Excuse me sir, I can heal you, but only if you promise not to hunt innocent monsters anymore. You know, some species that are commonly referred to as monsters are actually very peaceful if not provoked. Some can even become great friends. I myself have many companions that happen to be monsters. Honestly, I find the term monster quite offensive. I prefer to use the term magical creature or animal. A lot of them are also a lot more intelligent than you might think. Even the ooze you and your allies were trying to kill displayed quite a bit of intelligence by selecting the shore of this stream as its spot to reproduce! It's quite fascinating isn't it? Why, I wonder what else oozes might be capable of..." Beist started to rant, going off on tangents about how amazing magical creatures were, forgetting that he'd even been offering to heal the man until he was interrupted by groaning and slurred words from him.
"What was that?" Beist asked, leaning closer.
"I promise... please... just shut up..." He groaned.
Beist was a bit offended at the man telling him to shut up for no good reason, but he got over it quickly. The man was certainly in horrible pain. A little irritability was to be expected.
One of Beist's hands reached into the scruffy fur around his neck and pulled out a tiny winged serpent with white scales and golden feathered wings. The serpent hissed at him, seeming a little irritated itself, but it wrapped around his arm as he placed his hand on the bandit. With the sounds of bones snapping back into their proper places, the monster hunter's wounds were healed in an instant and he stood up, feeling his back with a surprised look on his face.
"Now tell your friends to stop hunting innocent monsters as well. And don't shoot people just because they look a little like a monster! Didn't you even notice I'm wearing clothes? What kind of a monster wears a sweater vest!?" Beist told the man who ran off after the others who had fled.
With that business taken care of, Beist looked back to Percy and took out his notebook.
"I must say, you have very good control over your transformation. I understand there's no handbook. It's a difficult situation. I know it well. But, you look like you have a surprisingly good handle on it. Better than I did. I wonder..." Beist said before going into thought.
When he'd been a Werebear, he never had any control over himself while transformed. Was it just the difference between a Werebear and a Wereshark? That didn't seem right. Maybe it was something to do with Percy. He seems like, even without his transformation, to be a naturally aggressive person. Maybe he and the Werebeast in him just... get along. He doesn't seem to mind being a Wereshark all that much while Beist had always hated that was a Werebear. This was something to look into more. This could be a serious breakthrough for his cure. He wondered if Percy would find it rude if he asked for some samples of his blood, maybe some teeth. He heard sharks could regrow their teeth. Maybe he'd ask on their way to the next task Lloyd had given them.
Thinking of the tasks Lloyd had given them, Beist finally read the page of the notebook he'd opened to and then looked embarrassed.
"Ah. Actually, the next task from Lloyd is an ooze that's been causing some havoc in the cellar of an inn... Back in the town we just came from... Maybe we should have done that one first. But, then we wouldn't have made it here in time to save that ooze from those monster hunters. So, all's well that ends well, eh?"
