Personality: Naive and outgoing, Valerian delights in meeting new people and learning new ways of life. She spends the traveling portion of her life visiting hamlets and small towns, trading medicine and healing for goods and services. Val tries to approach everything from a neutral point of view, but is utterly blind to her biases or place in nature. A pacifist in all but necessary circumstances, Val would sooner help her opponents than incapacitate them. At 5'4(162cm), she isn't much of a fighter, anyway. Ever the optimist, she sees friends everywhere and believes it takes more than most people are capable of to render them irredeemable.

History: Somewhere in Zeinav Desert, there is a copse trees surrounding a spring. At the small creek's side is a massive, ancient oak tree. It has grown far wider than tall, and its mossy boughs provide shade for a great many plants and animals in the oasis. At the heart of the oak lives Valerian. Just at the oak tree provides for the oasis and guards it from the sun, Val protects the oasis and its inhabitants.

Recently, after an encounter with a wanderer, Val has decided to see the world. She wants to be stronger and wiser so she can protect not only her oasis, but anyone who passes by or for any time calls it home. To that end, she has begun to wander as well, and provide for the people she meets along the way.
