The situation continued to go from bad to worse. Del watches in the shadows[1], the sunlight from the mouth of the underground cave that led to the harbor creating a striking, imposing image of the fell construct that was damaged by its crash to the ground below, but only just. She had literally brought this giant to earth and part of a building on top of it... and still, somehow, it stood, thrashing apart the smouldering crates in the wake of its sudden burst of energy that flung debris in all directions. Del feels a spike of panicked frustration arc through her; What on Charon was it going to take to destroy this thing?
There was a large hole in the wall now, further up, but Del knew she could make the climb. She could escape, potentially. She was running out of time.
That idea is already discarded before the new lights glow on the abomination of a hydra. Stubborn to the last, she was not about to let that CEO come out of this with any sort of victory, pyrrhic or otherwise. Because what else could this be for the diminutive tyrant? The fact that she did not see that was all that could be accomplish here meant she needed to be shown, and Del was nothing if not determined to show her.
The beams of energy emanating from its twin curved tails sweep the room, and Del has to run. Whatever instructions have been given to this creature, it is beyond her, but she knows she has to contain this thing or it will cause further chaos. Along shadow, she hugs the wall scaling high so she can unleash another drop on top of the creature.
The sweep as she falls from the shadow homes in on her, and Del tucks. The beams of light scatter across her dross armor on her legs, shattering it[2], as she hurtles towards the construct. As she untucks, her leg kicks out, bringing her heel down hard on the purple tail-head of the creature, hoping to disrupt it in some way.
There's a lot of force and momentum that goes into that strike-- too much to control, as it is a bit of a hail mary. Del hits the ground, hard, rolling across jagged metal and wood, slicing into her skin and her thick winter clothes. Taking deep breaths, winded and lungs burning from the smoke, and forces herself to stand, to move, to try and get back under cover so she can try something else.
