Setting about the task at hand, a short pole with a scalpel like blade made of clear water formed between Socket's hands. They opened the swelling pustules carefully, relieving the pressure and draining the infected tissue. Once that was done, they picked up the lantern and inspected the gooey mass that was causing this problem. It wasn't deep, only about four feet thick, but it was suspiciously arranged and the inner ring of bone had scorched, broken ends with signs of cuts and hammering.
Socket knew there was no more time to waste. Their engram worked overdrive, coming up with a plan to undo the troll's meddling, and ensure Shaa and the others weren't a part of the next gruesome horror. This creature living inside another, and it's band of fleas with spears, were parasites of the worst variety. Shutting the lantern, the automaton began to glow brightly, arcs of lighting surrounding them. The pole blade changed, becoming something like a thresher's scythe without it's distinct side facing blade. Holding firmly to the handle, Socket activated Bullet Dash, using Step of the Wind and the pole to slide around the wall. The first pass carved loose about half the depth, so Socket repositioned and readied for another pass.
Normally they'd wait at least a few seconds to let parts of their form cool down before using another combination of effects, heat buildup being detrimental to their wiring. Another clap of thunder echoed through the tunnel, Bullet Dash dazzling it's light over the area for a fraction of a second. The whole mess collapsed on itself in a stinking heap, fragments of bone already being gnawed at by various creatures in the dark as the larger part of the mass began it's journey once more into the darkness.
Socket dismissed the tool, it's form dispersing into a mist that helped speed the healing and ensure the infection wouldn't spread. As this mist covered the area, some of the construct's larger plates opened to let the water in, cooling heat sinks that would need to be inspected once this was over. They scooped up the lantern, and made a mad dash back. Sparks flew as the automaton raced back, knowing the truth wouldn't necessarily stop it... but Socket would try, or make sure it wouldn't happen again...

As the trio continued down the murky pathways of the massive fish, Shaa notices that the area seemed to be getting louder. Tano looked up at Shaa with an odd look on his face. Brown Shaa Progress what…what is the outside fishy like? Shaa is surprised by the thoughtfulness of the question. Not the normal kind of thing the typical moon faced goblin would be thinking or asking about. He actually wasn’t sure how to answer him. How do you describe something like the sun to someone who’s never seen it?
Well, it’s big…and open. There is a big ball of fire in the sky sometimes that makes it warm. Little twinkling lights at night when it’s cool. There are lots of different kinds of beings everywhere. Good food. Like the fishy? No things that are sweet, sour, fluffy… you has fluffy foods? Yeah, called pastry. Kind of love them. Tano like new food. The little goblin went quiet. Maybe.. maybe I see fire in sky one day…eats the fluffy things. Despite being a minion for a thug very likely trying to kill him, Shaa felt sorry for the little guy. He was missing out on so much of life. So much he would never experience. Tano…do you want to leave the fishy? Maybe…if you go…Tano can visit? Shaa bites his lip a bit. When we go, it’s kind of a one way trip. We go, there is no returning to the fishy. Tano blinked and hummed to himself. Sky…
As the noises got louder and sloshier, the trio find themselves in front of a massive lake of bubbling yellow liquid. Above the lake are several cage’s hanging from the “ceiling” above the lake. Dis is meat room. Mano walks over to the side of the lake and pulls out a long pole with a hook on the end. Walking over to a chain on the ceiling, he hauls it over with the pole, pulling one of the cages along with it.
Hello, is somebody there? Shaa looked up to the cage. It was Rast, the first mate. Rast! Are you ok? The cage swings to the side a bit. Shaa? Shaa! Oh man, you really are one of the toughest SOBs alive, aren’t you? Not even a mammoth fish can take you out. Oh man. Yeah, I’m grumpy that way. Where is… I know what you are going to ask and no, I don’t know. There are others here in the cages but to far away to talk to. I can just… I can just hear the noises…too many echos. Mano suddenly pushes the cage back over the lake. Hey! He alive Brown Shaa. That what chief say you get. And you no get get them. Only gobo know the right chains. You pull wrong chains, and all cages drop in the lake. Mano takes a random bone and dips it in the yellow liquid. Pulling it out again, the bone has completely dissolved. Swimming bad for cage meat. You see know. Troll always big boss. Shaa did see. Yeah I got you, let’s head on back. DONT WORRY, WE’LL GET YOU OUT. HANG ON! The three started their way back, Shaa making mental notes about the path.

Bolting through the gloom, Socket raced the distance back to the ramshackle village. Once it was in sight, they set Lightning Lure's pillars amongst debris strung across the approach. Trotting through the air, Socket cleared the gated wall and dropped into town square. The awestruck goblinoids either froze or stumbled and hid in their homes as the automaton's buzzing form strode into the heart of their home.
"Your job is done, your mess has been cleaned up! Parasitic beasts, you nearly killed this great creature with your selfish greed. If any of those sailors is harmed in any way, I will see you all sent to the sky, served up as a buffet for seagulls and crabs. Call forth your chief, and release those sailors... You have 5 minutes." Socket's tone was as cold as the arctic winds, buzzing with electrical charge. Dropping the lantern, they said no more, watching for any counterattack. Moving to the top of one of the buildings overlooking the small plaza, they made preparations for the possible fight ahead. Lightning Lure hummed out in the debris field, waiting to call it's charge home. Socket could feel the strain of all they'd been doing recently, some movements were sluggish or imprecise.
Where was that stinkin' Troll at... laying siege to a village seemed excessive, and avoidable. An understanding to be had, even if that diplomacy came with the shocking bite of fists. From atop the peak of the roof, Socket tried to spot Shaa or the mass of goblins. Seeing neither from this vantage, they figured there were parts of town hidden from view by other buildings. From this height, Socket had to take the chance at warning Shaa where their voice could carry the farthest.
"SHAA!! If you're hearing my voice, DON'T TRUST ANY OF THEM!! THEY MADE THE BLOCKAGE!! THEY ARE GONNA TRY TO MAKE ANOTHER!!" Without rest, the constant load on their systems had been taxing, so Socket took what time they could atop the roof to recharge. It was only a brief few moments, as the pounding steps of an enraged Troll and the horde it had tricked could be heard from several directions...

As Shaa, Tano and Mano were making their way back to the village, Shaa feels a distinct lurch in the fish that causes him to stumble a bit. Woah, what was that? That the big fishy turning. Me think you friend fix big block yes? Yes, fishy moving better now with no block. Mano looks over at Shaa with an evil grin. No more job for brown Shaa yes? Maybes you go back to meat room sooners than the laters. Tano didn’t seem to like the idea. Chief says they go, so they go. No meat room. You clunk brain Tano. The two goblin start fighting. Shaa grabs both of their arms and hauls them up. Look. If my companion really did unclog your fish, we need to hurry back. I don’t want that fish diving on us.
The three are almost all the way back when Shaa hears a voice in the distance. He can only make out some of it. "SHAA!! ….voice…DON'T TRUST……..! ……BLOCK…!! ……MAKE ANOTHER!!" Wait what? As Shaa strained to hear the words, Mano pulls a knife and tries to stab him. Tano seems genuinely surprised. As the sly goblin comes at him, Shaa can feel the aggressive action from behind. Whirring around, he manages to grab the menaces knife hand. Aggg you let go. Be good brown Shaa and be meats for the fishy. Tano! You help! Tano looks at the scene and hesitates. Tano, this come from big boss, you helps! Tano shakes his head and only says one thing. Sky. With that he takes off and disappears down a tunnel. Tano! You fish foods! Shaa squeezes the little goblins wrist until he can start to hear the bones pop. Mano drops the knife and squeals. No! Need arm for work. No fish food! No fish fooood! Shaa thumps him hard in the face, knocking him unconscious.
With Tano nowhere to be seen, Shaa makes a run back to the town. Socket? SOCKET! As he gets back, he is met with a cadre of bone spear wielding goblins. Let me pass you guys. We had a deal. One of the goblins charges at him with a spear. He is able to side step the strike. He grabs his assailant by the neck and slams him several times into a wall until he drops his spear and goes limp. The others hesitate and form a plan for their next attack.

Catching the sounds of battle, the clatter of spears and fists, Socket launched themselves from the high perch. A few buildings away, they spotted Shaa engaged with a small group. Activating Bullet Dash, the automaton thundered into the fight from above. Knocking away the small group, they looked to Shaa, who was handling the poor goblin like it was a spring chicken ready for the dinner table.
"The goblins made the blockage... probably under order from the Troll. We need to get your crew, and get gone... before they try to make another one, or end up killing this poor creature. Do you remember the way to where they're being held?" Socket asked, arms raised and crouched low, sparks crackling along the length of their form. The goblins were recovering, and the sounds of the rest of town rousing itself to the fight were growing louder. A quick gesture recast Static Field, in case there were sharp shooters about, though so far they'd only encountered spears as a ranged weapon for the group.
By now, the blockage was moving rapidly along it's grisly voyage, and mostly likely was pushing along a pool of pus, rot and half digested fish. Hopefully the big beast would be ready to surface and expel the gruesome mass along with everyone inside.

Shaa tosses the now battered spear goblin to the side. Yeah, I can get back there no problem. But there is a bit of a complication. Follow me. Shaa takes off back they way they had com. Through several twists and turns in the fish they eventually make it back to the infamous “meat room” The cages and chains on the ceiling are swaying back and forth a bit from the increased movement of the giant fish. Whatever you do, don’t touch the lake. It’s basically a giant acid pool. Shaa looks at the stick from earlier and it is much closer to the pool than from when they left it. Annnnd great, it also looks like it’s rising.
Voices start coming from the cages above. The echo and the distance make it hard to distinguish which cages the voices are coming from but they are definitely here. Everyone is up in those cages attached to those chains there. Shaa points to the chains moving cross cross between the cages above. According to Mano, the cages can be accessed by the chains but if you pull the wrong ones, the cage falls into the acid pools get…us….out. We are running out time. Any suggestions?
Shaa puts his hands on his hips and looks at the massive collection of chains intercrossing the cages. It would take too long to figure this out. If they rushed it, they could make a mistake and get someone dissolved. If they take too long, the acid lake could eventually make it impossible to do anything or the goblin fish guys could show up and mess the entire thing up as well. Things were getting dicey to say the least.

Examining the tangle of chains, Socket understood quickly what Shaa meant. Each set of cages seemed to be connected to several chains but only one was the actual controlling bundle, the rest were rigged to break those and drop the entire group into the waiting pool of acid below. Time was short, the hordes from town were running this way and there was no telling when or what the creature they'd been inside of would be doing.
"I hope your reflexes are up for this, as there's a way but it's a bit messy." They commented to Shaa, then scaled up the chains as easily as they'd walked into the chamber. Three cages held sailors who looked famished, dehydrated and all together worse for wear. "This might be a bit of a painful experience, getting each of you down from here, but we'll do our best with the time we have. Stand away from the door please." Socket tried to keep their tone even and calm, even though the situation was growing more troublesome by the minute.
Once the sailors had moved to the far side of their cage, Socket scrambled over the nearest one, making it creak and sway with the shifting weight. It was sheer luck that these crude boxes weren't fitted with a complicated lock, otherwise they'd need to change the plan. Using a powerful, precise strike, Socket shattered the bony pin that served to keep the door shut. The cage jumped about for a few moments as the door swung out and tugged at the chains with it's mass. Not waiting for the sailor to move about and make things worse, the construct swung back up into the main body of chains and activated Gust Thrust. The ensuing blast of air lifted the sailor and tossed them over the pit in a lobbing arch, a living projectile air launched like a catapult's throw. "Catch Shaa!!" They called out as this was happening, moving to the next cage before the sailor had even landed.

Shaa watched impressed as Socket started scaling the wall a adeptly maneuvering through the chains. Dang, that has to be handy. He quips to himself. He can’t help but wonder however, despite the space golems apparent agility, how he was actually going to get the sailors out. Each one was further and further back and they were quickly running out of time. Shaa soon had his answer. As Socket reaches the first cage, it appears as he got it open. That was a start. Shaa watched as Socket positioned itself behind the cage. What in the world is he up to? And that is when Shaa the sailor flying through the air.
Ginma’s Beard! he yells as he runs as close the edge of the pool as fast as he can. Stretching his massive arms out, Shaa snags the first sailor before he takes an un wanted swim. Depositing him on the shore, he prepares himself to catch the next aerial sailor. He yells out to Socket. Well I guess that works! Sure enough, the second of Shaa’s boat crew come flying through the air. This one was going a bit long so he backs up and, with a bit of a hop, snags the second sailor. Oh crap, thank you, I thought we were so dead! Shaa presses him. Where is the captain did you see him? Yeah he’s back there but I haven’t heard him say anything from him in several hours. What is that thing that saved us? Was it some sort of weird elf? Erggg long story. Let’s talk about it later when we are way out of here.
Suddenly, a trio of goblins rush into the meat room. The sailors look at them and grab some make shift weapons from the floor and rush them with a cry. Shaa, we got this. You have got to help Captain Saltrine! Shaa rushes back to the the edge. The fish then starts to rumble and Shaa can feel a sinking in his stomach. The acid shore starts to receed to the left. Shaa looks up at the chains and the cages and they are starting to point right, not straight down. Socket! The fish is freaking turning over! Get the captain and get out of there. Shaa! We have got to go! I know! He yells back. Socket!

Jangling on it's precarious chains, the last cage was too far into the acid pit to use Gust Thrust either way. Socket shattered the bone pin, scooping up the unconscious captain within. They hopped out of the cage, body straining under the immense weight. Grabbing a chain overhead, they swung out as far as possible before activating Bullet Dash. A clap of thunder roared through the building and Socket, with crew in tow, blasted aside the Goblins.
As they writhed on the ground, the creature began to lurch, heaving it's mass in a wide spiral. Everything pitched, and buildings were buckled on one side while being split apart on the other. Town was collapsing on itself, goblins scattered as the great sea creature lurched violently in the other direction. Everyone was tossed about, even Socket, who'd barely managed to keep the captain steady in the tumultuous fit while bouncing off of falling structures.
Debris and a few lucky lanterns were all that was left of town in a matter of minutes. Standing in the center of the mess, glowering at the gibbering mess of goblins dancing about it's feet, was the Troll chieftain. The brute swatted down one of the goblins in it's fit, which crumpled, looking to have at least one destroyed limb. Socket, battered but aware, laid the captain down gently on a leathery stretch of skin with a post through it, probably a door or sign of some kind.
"Try to make your way to the place we met Shaa, lead the others, I'll catch up after I wrap up things with the boss here..." Socket's voice buzzed, their body grew bright and arcs of lightning sizzled against the flesh and boards that littered the area. They stumbled forward a step, feeling the tug of the trap they'd set earlier as they fixated on the Troll.
"You're the next meal, Troll, and no one can save you now..." They whispered, bracing for the discharge of the second part of Lightning Lure. Five bolts flashed from the gloom of the opposite side of the cavern, striking the troll and blackening streaks across it's scaly hide. The monster howled, which turned into a gurgling, sloppy sound as the voltaic assault stunned and disabled it. Socket was already charging forward, and the moment the Troll began to fall to it's knees, they activated Bullet Dash once more. Slamming feet first into it's chest, the Troll was blasted off it's feet and down into the gloomy, hungry depths of the creature. They turned, and sprinted up the slick, undulating surface as fast as they could, trying to catch up to Shaa and the group.

Considering the state of everything, Shaa wasn’t about to stick around to argue. He was grateful for his night vision as the city lights were now sparsely distributed throughout the rubble. Priority now was getting everyone top side before this fish did something everyone would regret. He runs over to the still unconscious Captain Saltrine, picks him up, slings him across his shoulder and starts making for the original tunnel. Hey, don’t take too long space man. I’m kind of liking you at this point and I would hate you ending up as fish food. He turned, captain on board, and started to usher the other two sailors back to the beginning.
On the way back, Shaa noted that the tunnels were noticeably tighter than they were earlier. Keep close everyone, I can get us back. Arrrrgghhh Shaa turned and saw one of the sailors had been grabbed by one of the toothy tubes protruding from the wall. He was about to help him but more and more tubes burst from the wall making gory holes in the sailor. Hergelp megh! The sailor gurgled but Shaa already knew it was too late. No med kit in the world was saving him now. The second sailor started backing away but Shaa grabs him and pulls him back before he becomes a second victim to the wall. There is nothing we can do for him, stay tight! And for Ginma’s sake, don’t touch anything!
The two continue down the tunnel. The tunnels themselves have actually shifted but Shaa has enough spacial awareness to know they are getting close. As they had down a circuitous route, they come upon the fallen body of one of the Goblins. Shaa recognizes his markings. It’s Tano and he looks to still be breathing. Shaa makes a quick judgement call and grabs the small goblin by the leg. Captain slung over one shoulder and goblin in the other hand, he was starting to feel more like a vehicle than an adventurer. If this kept up he was going to start charging people for rides.

Rushing water and the hammering of the creature's heart as it picked up speed made the already chaotic journey eerie and stranger than it had been. What was it going to do? Socket knew there wasn't time to ponder, only to run and catch up to Shaa and company. All the construct could see at this point was a deep gloom ahead, and the dim glow of the ruined buildings behind.
Glowing brightly, they raced ahead in the dark, crashing through the debris and detritus that had made it's way down into the gullet of the sea creature. A deep, vigorous rumble began working it's way through the cavernous hollow as Socket began to hear sounds ahead of running footsteps. Dropping to all fours, the automaton sprinted along the walls like an overgrown cat. They crashed into something jutting from the wall, which made a groaning sound as it was dislodged.
Skidding to a halt with the obstruction, Socket thought it might have been one of the goblins that had been tripped up in it's attempt to escape. A quick inspection by touch dispelled that notion, it was one of the crew they'd released only minutes ago. A gaping hole in their side was bleeding and torn, mauled by one of the other cavern dwelling critters on the way out. Exhausted, Socket mustered the energy to activate Art of the Whirling Wave once more.
Heaving the bulky, muscled sailor up, the short staff acted as a brace as they powered through the warnings, internal alarms crying their protest as the construct strained itself under the heft. Nearly running the other group down, the first slivers of natural light could be seen from above. The beast was nearing the surface, the rumbling grew deeper by the second as gravity fought the monstrous creature's attempt to soar into the sky.
Everything lurched about, the floor beneath the group tilted near vertically as the sea creature breeched the surface and launched it's thickly corded bulk with the momentum. A nearby pile of debris had a few solid planks and one thick beam that had survived the hectic journey so far. Socket shifted the sailor on their back, fired off a Gust Thrust behind and downward and was sailing through the air as Shaa and party began to fall. The mass of bodies collided together, elbows and knees grating against one another as they all landed in a heap on the free floating mass of debris.
"HOLD ON!! THIS IS GONNA BE ROUGH!!" Shouted the squashed construct, clinging to the thick beam with their legs and holding the heavily wounded sailor in their arms. One second they were floating in the near dark, the next it felt like they'd been slammed from below and fired from the barrel of a great cannon. Airborne for only a few seconds, they stretched on for what seemed like hours. The great sea creature that had swallowed them spewed a great mass of goop behind the debris field, along with most of what remained of the goblin town. Socket released the staff's effect, spreading a moderate amount of healing to the sailors, and Shaa before slumping forward onto the thick board. It was enough to patch up the wounded sailor, though they would need proper medical attention before they'd be okay again.

The first thing he saw was the bright rays of the sun. After being blasted out of the giant fish, things were pretty hazy. Shaa remembered flashes of wood, goop and various body parts. With the sun now blazing down on them, the gravity of their situation was settling in. He looked around and they were surprisingly in good shape. He saw his friend the Captain and somehow both of the crew members. Socket was there looking after the one he was sure was already dead. He also saw Tano. Tano was standing on a piece of floating debris just staring up at the vast expanse of the sky, his mouth agape. It was like watching a blind person see for the first time. He wanted to ask him a million questions but, in the end, decided not to spoil the moment. Sky…
As magical as the moment was, they were still marooned on garbage in the middle of the ocean. With all of the stuff floating around, it would not take long before some of the smaller yet just as dangerous, ocean predators and scavengers to come nosing around for scraps. They had some fairly injured folks so they didn’t have time to be floating around waiting to be rescued. But that was ok. Other than beat up some fishy goblins, Shaa had pretty much just spent the last couple day’s running around. Not really his jam. Now that he was out of the fish hotel, it was time to take care of business.
First things first, it was time to get out of here before the big fish came back looking for his keys or something. Shaa reached into his bag of the infinite and pulled out 3 items. The first was his flask. He had not really eaten anything for who knows how long and he needed the energy. It was no chocolate chip muffin, but it did the job. The second item was a long red coat and the final item was a ring with an ocean blue stone in the center. He didn’t get to use the ring often but was grateful to have it today. Downing the flask, he felt strength and energy restored to his body. He would need it for what came next. He called over to the group.
Ok guys, I can’t believe we made it out. Whoo hoo. The weary looks from the group were really no more than he had expected considering they were still stuck in the middle of the ocean. Ok well I know it looks bleak and all but I got good news and bad news. Your going to shut up? The captain suggested. And the captains ok, good to know. But no. The good news is I am going to get us out of here, the Shaa way. No! I don’t like the Shaa way. I’d rather be re eaten by the giant fish. So would your wife, but that’s her bad news. Your bad news is that the trip is gonna be kind of bumpy. Just hang on and I’ll have us back to the island in no time. I love you and hate you bro, so much. Same same Captain, just hang on. We go fly in sky? Tano asked genuinely. Eh no, but it’s got some magic involved. Watch this.
Shaa stood up and put on the ring of water walking. He immediately stabilized and walked all around the water with no issue. Tano started clapping. You walk water good. Good magic. Shaa wasn’t quite done yet. Donning the red coat, Shaa grows from his nearly 8 ft frame to a full 12 feet tall. Woah! Big brown Shaa even bigger. So close, he would need to work with the little goblin on his adjectives. It was now time for the finale. Shaa forced energy from the earth into his body. He then grew into a giant Minotaur, nearly 50 feet high. Shaa checked himself and sure enough, he was still not sinking. Ok kids, time to go home. Shaa picks up Tano and the sailors with ease and cradles them on one of his massive arms. He extends his hand to Socket and says. Wanna ride?

Panels on the automaton popped open, glowing metallic plates steamed off a plume of heat and warmed the seawater. As the energy dissipated, the heatsinks retracted once again. Socket stirred a few moments later, sitting up with a noticeable effort. They looked to Shaa, now comically proportioned and standing atop the water with an outstretched hand. Crawling onto the hand, the automaton's movements were stiff and clunky, and they seemed to have lost the grace of their stride.
"Good to see you're all okay." They said weakly, working towards a comfortable position to ride. Too much energy and magic had been spent without rest, and now Socket was too exhausted to do much. The sun was high, and a strong breeze carried more heat away as they cooled down. Running a long diagnostic, they discovered a great deal of impact damage, probably from being ejected. All systems were running at minimum power, and their reserves were dangerously low.
"Going low power again, need to conserve energy and recharge..." The automaton held firmly but gently to Shaa's overgrown bulk, falling into a coma-like state again. Carried along, they would recharge their reserves, a slow trickle of energy that was picked up via the winds and the changing electrical charges in the air. They'd overcome this hurdle, time to let giga-Shaa see them safely ashore...

It did not take Shaa long to get back to the island. Full of energy but also being careful not to jostle his delicate passengers, he moved sure footed across the sea covering vast distances as he ran. As he got close to the shore, several fishing boats pointed at him in shock. He may have knocked a particular one over belonging to a sailor named Brian that he was not particularly fond of. Once at the city, Shaa shrunk himself down to 12 feet tall. Several of the townspeople who had been searching for them, including the captain’s wife, rushed out to great them. They were now surrounded with the injured being rushed off to doctors and healers. Saltrine looked at Shaa. The service was bumpy and awful. I’m never riding with you again. Shaa smiled. I’m glad you are ok you crotchety goat faced barnacle. Saltrine just waved at him and smiled as they carted him away. His wife came over and hugged him tighter than he would have thought the gentle woman was possible of, patting her on the head. He could tell she had been crying. Sorry Tilley, despite my best efforts he’s still alive. Tilley smiles and sniffs up some tears. Well, there is always next time I suppose. He gets another quick hug and Tilley hurries to catch up with her husband.
The only ones left are Tano and the mysterious space golem. He walks over to Tano to check in. How you doing there T? The little goblin seems overly excited about the trip. We go fast fast on water! Me sees fishes and trees and sand. Now big town with lots of pink things. Shaa raises his eyebrow a bit. The pink things are humans. We need to make sure you stop calling people by their color. That’s a good way to get on someone’s bad side. Just learn their names and you’ll be fine. Tano looks confused buy compliant. He then also gives Shaa a hug on his leg. Tano. What are you doing? Lady do this say thank you for saving hairy face man. Tano thank you for freeing from fishy. Did not have to. A grateful goblin? Could this day get any weirder. Shaa shakes him off his leg. Yeah yeah, buddy it’s fine. Shaa walks over to Socket and pokes him. Hey bro, you alive? It’s getting dark. The townsfolk set us up with rooms for the night. If you can get up, let’s get off the pier and head on over to the Inn. We can figure out what to do with this guy points a thumb at Tano tomorrow.

Once the automaton was set down, their systems came online slowly. They sat up slowly, watching the others' interactions with a sense of delight. Internally, there were still a myriad of repairs needed, and Socket very much looked forward to picking their stuff up. "Hey bro, you alive? It’s getting dark. The townsfolk set us up with rooms for the night. If you can get up, let’s get off the pier and head on over to the Inn. We can figure out what to do with this guy... tomorrow." Said the minotaur.
"Indeed... let's settle in for the evening, a much needed night's rest and a long repair session are in store for this hunk of scrap... or at last that's what my sensors are screaming at me about..." There was an odd, popping pause between their words, as if the wiring had a bad connection. The automaton's body moved strangely, some of the internal parts having to strain from an uneven load as others' damage was too great to keep working without risk. They clanked and clattered, jostling parts that had been designed to fit very snugly together, and were unhappy to not be doing so.
The innkeeper greeted the odd group cheerfully, showing everyone to their rooms. Socket bid the pair goodnight, shut their door and sat down with the simple box full of metals and ores that would probably be nearly depleted after this. Another trip to resupply would be in order, but that was an issue for tomorrow. Laying out a variety of materials, the automaton's systems switched into maintenance mode and began the arduous process of rebuilding.
