Gods dammit all. Why was he out here again?

The charcoal skinned tiefling walks through the Lantern Light Wood following a trail of destruction left by some pests that were feasting on the rare plants only found in this part of the Eclipse Jungle just south of Eclipse City in the Moonglade. 

The Lantern Light Wood was yet again under attack by insects of unusual size, and even worse tempers. Zarius had hoped that the last time he was here that he and Zeras had finished off the last of the killer wasps. Apparently there was more than one nest, and even though they had tangled with one queen, that hardly stopped other colonies from popping up. 

Zarius wasn't too interested in the lantern light bulbs or the trees that were at risk of extinction. But he knew that the Witch of Moonglade would not be impressed if he left the job so thoroughly incomplete. Last he wanted was to provide her even more reasons to give him a hard time.

Still, all this running around was starting to eat into his very busy life. He had garnered a significant amount of political power recently, and he had many schemes all in the works throughout Charon. Not to mention he was needed back at home to keep an eye on Askr and help Caedes with the situation involving the Crimson Hand. 

There was too much to do, and he was but one man. The least he could gain out of this detour was another ally, but what were the chances of running into someone else roaming about in the forest at this later our of the night while there was an insect invasion currently running rampant.

Leave the light on- Reward = 1 Renown

The Lantern Light Woods in Moonglade are a beautiful place to visit, and on of the most unique places in all of Charon. However someone, or something has been destroying these rare plants, cutting them all down and using them for some unknown purpose. While one or two being taken is not a huge deal, someone is taking them by the hundreds. If too many are stolen before they get a chance to regrow, the woods may never recover. We need brave adventurers to go in and stop the cause. 

Quest Name: Greedy Grubs
Chapter: One
Description: Turns out a new invasive species of insect has made the woods their home and are eating all of the lantern light bulbs, completely destroying the ecosystem. You are being asked to find one of the hives and remove or destroy it. This is easier said than done however, as the insects are large than most and deliver very painful bites and stings. 
Requirements:
- Requires at least two people (you and one other)
- You must make at least 6 post to complete the mission with each post being at least 200 words
- The insect can be any kind but is hostile and dangerous and must be removed from the area. 
- Once you complete this mission you have completed this quest chain and may turn in the mission.

Zendrix moved sluggishly though the luminescent woods, its glow emanating from the many rare plants scattered around. His feet dragging behind him with every step the elf grumbled and stumbled as he pushed forward. His posture was horrid, his head sulked, shoulders apparently giving up under an invisible weight that pinned him. The usually composed elf appeared exhausted, his face soured and twisted as he held is stomach. The rumblings from within echoed through the night startling the creatures nearby. The drunken elf had over drank and forgotten to eat prior to his journey and as he wandered, lost, seeking the moon glade, he stumbled upon the biofluorescent woods becoming entranced by the foliage and glowing plants in the area. He was always fascinated by nature and all its wonders , having often taking moments to cherish and value the scenrary. He might have done the same now, perhaps even ran through he woods barefooted, Helios would have liked that, if it weren't for the fact that the lion was back on the Basilisk enjoying his meals while Zen starved, lost, in the woods with crept glowing creatures. Originally, he wondered if the animals roaming the woods would also possess glowing features and if they were edible. But having come across nothing but giant glowing bugs, the elf had grown uneasy, fatigued, and at risk of hallucination.

He stopped at a tree significantly larger than the others he had come across in the woods. The roots of the trees grew wildly and branched out in all directions, the glow eminating from it made the wooded area shine as if under the cover of the sun. Zendrix wondered If he had come this way, and what direction would lead him back to the moon glade, back to his search for the witch. He stared curiously at two diverging paths beyond the large tree wondering which to take. While he trusted his gut he was not clueless to the fact that his gut was more oblivious to directions than even he was. Shrugging he pushed off to the right desceding deeper into he woods, scattered across the paths were the remains of the glowing plants. Something is destroying… no eating them “ he thought as he moved froward the sound of buzzing could be heard from afar. 

The sound of shuffling through the forest floor catches the tiefling's attention as he travels under the bioluminescent lights of the forest. He is quick to turn invisible and silently creep in the direction of the disturbance. It doesn't take long for him to run across a strange sight. An elf taller than even most he has known in his travels is staggering about through the woods as if he was drunk. 

Really? What is it about this forest and having all these random folk wandering about alone at night. He has half a mind to just pretend that he hadn't seen the man, but then he notices that he is headed towards the sounds of buzzing insects. Shit. Did this man have a death wish? In his state, he would surely become a midnight snack for the giant wasps investing the forest. 

Why does he have to be responsible for others all the time? He sighs and approaches the man before dropping his invisibility. "Excuse me, sir. I would not head that way if I were you. There are dangerous giant wasps in this forest and if I am being honest, you do not look in any shape to fight them."

Chances were this man would just tell him to mind his own business, or perhaps he would react more aggressively to a shady tiefling appearing out of thin air before them with a warning. Neither of them had any idea why the other was there, and chances were that would hardly matter if the man chose violence this night. Zarius wasn't too keen on fighting this man, but he would knock his lights out if he made any aggressive moves.
