"I too am not the biggest fan of the Marsh Flat. It is a literal slog to travel through and the local wildlife can be nightmares to deal with. Especially the oozes." There's a bitterness in his tone as he refers to a the gelatinous pests. He's clearly not a fan of them for one reason or another.
The tiefling side eyes Arashi as he asks about the Ash Lands specifically. "The Ash Lands are part of the Zeinav Initiative, yes." He pauses for a moment to consider what to say next.
The region had a pretty well known reputation, and given Arashi has been to Zeinav before, he likely heard a rumor or two in his travels, if not warnings about the place. Really, the relationship between the two nations was tenuous at best. So long as the Sultan got his ore for his army's armor, he kept his soldiers amongst the sands and away from the Darkveil.
"But," he begins, "it is a very different place from Zeinav City. All the sand is replaced with ash, the blistering sun is blotted out by plumes of smoke, and the locals are more likely to rob you than just scam you in the markets. It's not a place most people visit unless they're looking for something specific, or running away from something."
There's a thoughtful, distant looks on his face. "It is a city of built on desperation."
The bartender returns and slides a drink over to Arashi to replace the one he spilled on the tiefling earlier.
Zarius continues, giving Arashi a toothy grin. "As far as places to vacation, I would recommend more scenic lands. Have you already travelled all across Moonglade?"

Arashi nods as Zarius speaks his mind about the Marsh Flats, Then when he talks about the Ashlands he feels like he might've touched a bit of a sore spot, not exactly sure what it was about he continued, "Well, I did hear some of he rumors, but I wanted to know what someone who's more traveled thought about it, and it seems it sort of matches."
As the Bartender slid Arashi a drink He thanked him it seems his mishap with the last one hadn't been forgotten, He didn't know exactly whose doing it was but he thanked the Bartender anyways. Then Zarius asked about Moonglade. "Well I've ben to some places there, but no other than the crescent Isles and the area between them and the marsh flats... I don't know most of Moonglade" He thought a bit as he took a swig of the Ale they had even remember what drink he had spilled. "But I should learn more about it, It's the closest neighbor to my homeland after all. Do you know anyone there? Maybe someone who could act as sort of a tour guide would be nice." He asked without giving it much thought The Tiefling seemed like a well informed, well-connected, and quite traveled person... there must be at least some tip he could share. "If you don't mind telling me that is... I don't want to impose."

The tiefling leans against the bar, watching the rest of the tavern casually. "Rumors tend to have some amount of truth to them."
In his line of work, it was important to be very careful about outright lying. The more someone lies, the more chances are someone will pick out that lie and then lose all credibility. If you wanted your lies to work, you had to use them sparingly and with tact to ensure someone's opinion of you does not sour. That's why, despite how good of a liar Zarius was, he didn't often do lie if he could help it, even with strangers.
"I know a few folks from Moonglade. The Witch of Moonglade is someone I am sure you have heard of. Lady Kamille is very involved in anything going on in Moonglade and she is quite welcoming to visitors to her home. Just be warned that she has a stupid amount of stairs."
He chuckles, he'd made that climb a handful of times and even had been lugged up them once before. Honestly, the stairs probably had just as much of a reputation as the witch herself.
"There is also Miss Cirice, she is from the Crescent Isles as well. And Gerhart, one of my close allies from the Fighter's Guild, is of Mooonglade too. Both are very friendly and easy to get along with though they tend to move around quite a bit."
Keeping tabs on his allies was almost a full time job in itself. Gerhart was very good at appearing anywhere in Charon and had gained a surprising amount of fame by doing so in a very short amount of time. Cirice had also done a lot of exploring after their first meeting back in Starlight City. Kids these days.

"While I agree... some truth could be even more harmful than a straight up lie. Being harder to detect, it might create a bias, a reason for hatred and prejudice... and both sides would think they're right without taking into account that they might not have the whole truth." Arashi rambled a bit on this one, while he hadn't personally been a victim to that much prejudice, he had seen it often enough. although he probably shared more than he should have, hopefully Zarius wouldn't take it the wrong way.
As the topic changed Arashi listened attentively, "I have heard of this witch of moonglade, never knew anyone who had seen her though, or at least no one that did had brought it up" He chuckled at the stairs comment "I don't really mind those that much." then Zarius named two others. "Hmm, I met a Gerhart on Moonglade not too long ago, a good swordsman, so probably the same guy. I don't know Cirice though."
Arashi thought a bit about his options he already knew Gerhart, so that might be a good option... but he also wanted to know more people, And since both Gerhart and Cirice traveled a lot according to what Zarius said they might be harder to find. He was also curious about This Lady Kamille, the witch of Moonglade was definitely someone he'd like to meet. So he figured that was his best choice.
"Well, next time I go to Moonglade then I might look for Lady Kamille. Hopefully she won't be too surprised to find someone looking for her." he let out a bit of a laugh at the end of his remark, he didn't really know her so he wondered if it was ok, still maybe if he mentioned Zarius it would be.

Zarius tilts his head a bit while listening to Arashi's responses. The man's statements about the truth and falsehoods were pretty sound. He was no fool, though he may be a little placid.
"Lady Kamille is very welcoming to visitors to her home. She can be a little...forward, but she is very hospitable."
Zarius thinks pretty highly of Kamille, she had saved his life after all. Though he did still wonder how much he could trust her and her allies. He certainly does not trust her flamboyant undead vampire lover, the preening peacock prick.
He perks up when Arashi mentions already having met Gerhart. "Gerhart is a pretty unique individual and very capable. He has grown a lot in a very short amount of time."
As their conversation runs its course, Zarius stands up from the bar and stretches.
“Well, Mister Arashi, I apologize again for disturbing your day and I am afraid I must be on my way. It has been a pleasure conversing with you. Should you find yourself in Zeinav City or Darkveil City, do not hesitate to reach out.”
He offers the man a friendly smile and a courteous bow as per the customs of the Crescent Isles. After bidding farewell, he steps away and exits the Brass Dragon through the front doors.
A few extra Solars sit on the counter, having seemingly appeared out of nowhere.
