Gerhart is admittedly probably one of the more taken aback members of the party. He was not ready for this he thought, this was the stuff of myth and legends. He was just a man with a sword who knew a few tricks, there was no sense in him being here.
The thoughts cross his mind in a flash of a second before he shakes his head and centers himself. "I don't know what's going on here, but Shaa, whoever you are, we can't just stand here!"[1] He calls out to the others bolstering their resolve for the moment.
Feeling the rush of adrenaline through his blood Gerhart starts to move forward, drawing his swords as he did. While he closed the distance wind gathered around his blade, the young knight slashing out sending a cone of rushing wind to cut into Ziev.[2] God or not it seemed like he was the problem, Gerhart could figure out the final details later.

This was not how Shaa thought that this was going to go. There was absolutely nothing about what was happening in front of him that made any sense at all. At least they were on solid ground…sort of. Shaa looked around at the groups of people as well as his own tiny cadre of fighters. Then recognition hits him. Gerhart! I’m so glad to see you here…wherever the crap this is…
"I don't know what's going on here, but Shaa, whoever you are, we can't just stand here!" Gerhart cries as he he draws his sword and rushes the godly behemoth. Gerhart wait! Oh..no.. charging in then? Ok. Shaa looked around for something to throw only seeing scattered people, that creepy cultist from earlier and empty space. There was also this woman whom he didn’t recognize. Looking at Vi’ira, he says Hi! Shaa Rhunn. Minotaur. I’m not sure really what’s happening but let’s stick together for now. What do you say? He needed everyone he could get at this point. And he also needed to prepare.
Somehow still able to breathe, he takes a deep breath and calls the souls of his parents to him. Mom, Dad….I’m in serious trouble. Please, help us. The two spirits place their hands on his shoulders. Shaa can feel spiritual energy flowing through him. A spiritual aura emanates from him, enhancing his spells and companions. With his spirit focused, he gets an idea. Shaa starts summoning walls. Enhanced by his guardians, Shaa summons 4 giant walls in succession, alternating between vertical and horizontal, between himself and his new companion but off to the side of Gerhart’s charge. So he needs a distraction does he?

Scern reaching for the relic. The world feels frozen. Empty, vast darkness. A blinding light. The vast celestial plane. It all happened so fast.
Vi’ira inhaled deeply as she finally gained access to breathing once again, her head still whipping around wildly as she recognized figure after figure floating in space alongside her. It seemed the stone was more sought after than she had thought, and now every single one of those adventurers, including herself, were in terrible danger. She could hardly take in the God that stood before her. This couldn’t possibly be happening. How could a measly pirate be standing face to face with a god? She recognized him quickly as Ziev, having read about him extensively as a child. She always had a fascination with space, and Ziev was a god she always admired, except now he was standing before her with a murderous gaze in his star-filled eyes.
Never meet your heroes.
Vi’ira turned her attention to the men standing on both sides of her. She wasn’t too familiar with either of them. The minotaur she had met once before at the Black Harvest Ball when she had drunkenly asked him to join her in forming a congo, but the brunette human she had never encountered before. However, now, they were a team, and she was here to defend, fight, and aid them in whatever battle was about to unfold before her.
It didn’t take long for one to act, the human man offering up a few inspiring words before charging loudly towards Ziev, drawing his swords and using wind to attack the god. That took guts, and Vi’ira was glad to know he wasn’t afraid to jump into the fight. A surge of courage shot through her veins, and she cracked her neck.
“Hi! Shaa Rhunn. Minotaur. I’m not sure really what’s happening but let’s stick together for now. What do you say?”
Vi’ira nodded at the minotaur, “Vi’ira. Pirate. Rode yer shoulders once at a ball. Workin' together once went well, no harm in doin' it again.” She winked at Shaa and then turned to face Ziev.
Vi'ira honed in on the arcana in her blood, focusing hard on her surroundings. Somehow, they were all able to breathe, and if there was breath, there was wind. She brought her hands together, before clapping loudly and extended her arms out to her side. As she did, a large beast formed from the wild wind around her1. It resembled a large wandering albatross, but its entire being was formed from the whipping of the air circulating rapidly. The elemental let out a loud call, charging towards Ziev and circling his head. A stream of bullets formed from air began to fly rapidly out of the elemental's mouth, aimed directly at Ziev’s face, but more specifically, his eyes2.

"We can't just stand here!" Gerhart calls out once more before stopping, a confused look crossing his face. Didn't he just say that? What was going on? He never liked high powered casters in the first place, they tended to be pretentious pricks, but this was a whole new level. A smarter man would've probably thought through a more appropriate response, but Gerhart is not that man.
There's a mad cultist and an angry god, each with seemingly massive amounts of magical powers and then there's Gerhart, a man with two swords and a dream. He'd made it this far with just that though, so why change the approach now.
"You guys might want to close your eyes a second!" Gerhart calls over to his friends and he guesses Scern if they are on the same side and sight is not vital to his spell. He holds out his Duelist's Longsword as light seems to grow at the tip before exploding in a bright flash.[1]
"DOWN HERE! PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE JERK!" Why not challenge[2] a god directly? You've done dumber things before probably.
1. Blinding Clasp - Debuff Action 2. Challenging Mark - Debuff? Support? Offensive? I called him a jerk, that's offensive.

Shaa looked around, tired and disoriented. He sees Gerhart charging after the giant being…again? Why did this seem so surreal and familiar. Did it make more sense that he was in space fighting gods with his friends or that he had a bad meat pie at some point and he was passed out somewhere. Was he in a bar? No, he was in a temple fighting off demons….and that guy was there touching the rock…then he made like a billion walls or something. The discontinuation of thought made his horns hurt.
Shaa looked over at Vi’ira. Ummm Shaa Rhunn. Minotaur. And you are? Shaa got a flashback of him with this woman on his shoulders doing the conga. That couldn’t be right. He started to get concerned that years of binge drinking and bludgeoning things with his head was starting to catch up to him. Was something or someone messing with his brain? Everyone else seemed to think this was real. Or was this just him imagining everyone else thinking that this was real? He wanted to throw up just thinking about it.
What to do? Help the villainy looking dude wielding arcane magic he didn’t understand. Go try and punch a god who would laugh in your face while he turned you into paste on the, what was this, space floor. Shaa glanced around, side checking for guys in white coats to haul him off on the short wagon. What he needed was clarity.
Shaa sat down, closed his eyes and focused hard with his spirit to perceive what was around him. What was real. As he focused, he could start to see things that were unclear before. He was definitely here and not crazy. That was good. It still didn’t explain where here was however. He stood up and walked towards the cultist hoping to get some answers. As he walked, he pulled out his jolly bag. Maybe it will bring me something useful…at the very least a snack. BHf4Wdfv

Scern reaching for the relic. The world feels frozen. Empty, vast darkness. A blinding light. The vast celestial plane. It all happened so fast.
Everything felt all too familiar, and far too eerie.
“Hi! Shaa Rhunn. Minotaur. I’m not sure really what’s happening but let’s stick together for now. What do you say?”
“Vi’ira, rode yer shoulders once at a ball. Working together once worked, no harm in doing it again.”
What?
Hadn’t she already said this before? Hadn’t Shaa already introduced himself? Vi’ira’s head was swimming, her whole body feeling unbalanced and uncoordinated. In this moment, she felt her head turn in a familiar way, except there was no Ziev for her to advance towards.
They had lived this before.
He seemed to have disappeared in the infinity of space, leaving every adventurer dangling in the celestial realm like a puppet. Minutes passed. Hours. Dear Moon, how long would they be wasting away here? A wave of heads looked back and forth, hoping someone would have an answer. But there was none. There was no escape.
Time seemed to speed up all at once. It felt like heavy stones were placed on Vi’ira’s body as exhaustion swept through her muscles. She breathed heavily, as if savoring the air before the god wreaked even more hell. She was far too weak to attempt a melee attack, so she once more honed in on the arcana still running thick through her blood. Her physically body had taken a hit, but her magic was still bursting at the seams to escape. The elemental towered over her, the wandering albatross cawing as it flew through the air1.
Vi’ira wanted to change her approach this round, and felt her left hand drift down and search around for a thick, light blue pouch. She dug her hand inside, and prayed to her Moon for a successful grab…2
A smirk grew on Vi’ira’s lips as she felt an icy goat’s horn practically place itself in her hand. She pulled it from the bag and held it tightly in her grip.
Two elementals are so much more fun than one.

Their attacks were landing? THEIR ATTACKS WERE LANDING! Gerhart is more than excited at this revelation, but it is quickly eliminated by seeing the massive lasers being fired off. That can't be good.
"Hey, Shaa, we may need some walls!" He calls back, seeing if the minotaur had any fancy tricks up his sleeve.
Surprisingly a god didn't seem to be too bothered by a tiny little human man shouting insults at him, but that just meant Gerhart would have to be a bit more in his face about it. His cuirass buzzed and hummed with electricity before a large pair of leather blue wings burst from his back.
With heavy heaves, Gerhart lifted himself into the air. Along the way up he took a deep breath and began exhaling a crackling breath of lighting up along the body of Ziev. Gerhart would drag the breath line up Ziev's body as he flies upwards hoping to leave a scathing and burning scar.

Shaa listened and watched carefully as various other adventurers taunted and cajoled the dark wizard. He could tell that he was working hard whatever he was doing. He could also tell that the strange glowing rune on the floor was the only reason they were still alive at this point. The real question was, how much longer would it last. The idea was a bit disconcerting.
A sinking feeling fell into the pit of his stomach. Was this it? He was just going to just hang around until one of these knuckle head’s decided to end him? Well, the there was only one being who was for sure attacking them and that was Ziev…or maybe Ziev ..or whatever he actually was. And now, he watched as beams of energy were pouring out of his eyes and coming right at them . Fine. If that’s how he wanted to play. Let’s see how he liked this.
With moms fruitcake in hand, Shaa gives it a smooch for luck and begins to work. His first step is to use a monks art to summon 2 frost axes. As the fruitcake is Bundt shaped, there is a large hole in the middle of it. Shaa takes both his frost axes and slides them snugly through the hole in the middle of the fruitcake. Shaa can feel the powers of nature and magic in the fruity union. From his previous preparation, Shaa imbues his axe/fruitcake with light power, allowing it to deal light damage as well. He dubs the beastly weapon the “Double Frosted Fruity Axes of Bursting Light” Shaa could feel the energy of the universe shift a bit.
With all his Minotaurish Might, Shaa yells at the top of his considerable lungs, causing the very “ground” to shake. RRRRRAAAAARRRRRRR! He then takes his creation and hurls it right at Ziev’s patronizing forehead so as not to get it caught in the energy beams. As the monstrous creation hits his face, Shaa quickly spreads out his hand’s causing the axes to burst in a deadly shower of holy light ice shards and tough light infused fruity pastry. COME AND GET SOME!

As Shaa’s massive weapon explodes all on Zievs face, Shaa is shocked and saddened that he doesn’t seem effected. Suddenly Shaa sees crimson chains burst from the ground and bind the possibility false god. Ok, let’s see how you like this one. Shaa slaps his hands together and finds earth energy in the universe. As he does so, he grows into a giant Minotaur. Running up to him to get into range and pulling as much energy as he can, he feels even more power from the chants of other adventurers such as Astrid’s battle cry. Pointing his giant finger at Ziev, Shaa fires a light enfused beam of spirit energy across Zieve’s throat attempting to behead him…

"Let's finish this!" Gerhart calls out to the group, once more looking to bolster their resolve[1] as he did in the beginning. If they were nearing the end then he'd finish it like he started, supporting his friends.
As Ziev seemed to get restrained and pulled back, Gerhart saw a perfect opportunity for himself to land a potentially devastating attack. He floated just a bit higher before dismissing his wings, doing a little somersault in air just give himself a bit more momentum as he came down. Gerhart slammed both his swords into Ziev's body looking to leave a gash opened up on the god's side[2]. One that would leave him injured and make the struggle to break free harder.
