Vikram watches in horror as one of the biggest warriors he knows is casually shoved off by the Yeti, only to have a second to prepare for the imminent impact himself. No weapon, Shit. He had no idea how to punch something, let alone a yeti and actually hurt it. What did Shaa say... The yeti was only feet away now, Vikram tried to envision the pathways of energy throughout it, but it was too late. The fist he had made struck out and hit the mountain of muscle and fur square in the abdomen, doing nothing.
The impact of the yeti slamming its arm sideways into Vikram during it's wild charge knocked the wind out of him to be certain. He flew through the air for about ten feet before crashing into the cliff face of the mountain, and falling to the ground. The yeti roared, swinging wildly around it, he almost thought it was expecting more resistance from the pair. Shaa had his sword, good. Though he was sure he could take it regardless, the ferocity of the beast necessitated a quick solution. Vikram called out to the minotaur, lifting himself with an elbow, his voice raspy and shuddering.
"Rhunn! You arent slicing THROUGH the air and the beast, imagine you are slicing BETWEEN the air, BETWEEN the beast! Sever it at it's most fundamental level, the crumbs of the cake!"Forced Imbalance: Strike 1 fail

Ohh that was not great. He gets up from the snow bank he was so unceremoniously shoved into and shakes off the ice. Normally no one in Charon would be able to knock him over like that but the ice and snow were making the footholds on the path incredibly treacherous. That and the disorienting winds made for a precarious combination. As he manages to get up, he sees Vikram is doing about as well as he is. He is up now shouting some updated directions on how to use his sword technique. Shaa looks at Vikram like he is speaking a different language.
I tried to slice THROUGH him and that’s when he PUNCHED me in face, AGAIN! Shaa huffed with exasperation. This is why Shaa was an unarmed fighter. When you use your hands as weapons, you don’t get disarmed, you can feel what you are doing, It all makes sense. He turns the sword in his hand like he is looking at something from a different planet. It’s a sword. You stab at things, into things. Shaa thought about the layered cake. The frosting made tiny gaps in a layered cake. Is he saying that the air and Yeti have frosting layers? He was pretty sure he would have noticed something like that. It was frustrating that, of all things, a food analogy was being lost on him.
Being too distracted by thoughts of cake, Shaa misses the Yeti charging at him again from the side. As he plows into him for the second time, Shaa takes the sword and jams it into the Yetis shoulder causing them to fall together into the snow. Now laying on the ground, Shaa braces his forearm against the Yetis throat to try and choke him out. The beast is too large to get the right angle on him and with a high kick, Shaa gets flipped over right into another snow bank. It’s not often that Shaa gets handled like this and it’s starting to really get to him. The yeti gets up and pulls the sword out from its arm, tossing the bloody blade into the snow. Shaa tries to rush him but ends up sliding past the beast and right into a tree. This was getting ugly.

He had never seen Shaa so flustered. Something must have been bothering him. While not under a magical influence, there was something that Vikram could do to get the minotaurs head in the right place. Exhaling, he pointed an outstretched hand at the minotaur, letting the warmth of the heavens enter his spirit. A soft glow emenated from his fur as all the minor wounds he had sustained healed, and his mind became clear once more.
The yeti looked to take advantage of the momentarily entreed Shaa, swinging a heavy arm towards his back. Vikram leapt forward, the impact of his landing betwixt the hairy beasts enough to kickstart his Art of the Iron Fist. Shards of icy stone and rock leapt from the ground around them and attached to his arms and legs, only moments before the Yeti arm impacted. The brunt of the force cracked both of his arm guards, and sending him skidding several feet back. But the momentary pause in the battle gave him a crucial moment to concentrate.
Concentrate... Look past the outer layer inwards.... There. He began to see it, the branches of the yeti's lifeforce weaving throughout it's body. Twisting for a kick, he struck out and hit one of the brightest bundles of energy. The yeti growled! Something had been affected, the beast looked a bit woozy! Or was it just preparing to attack again...Forced Imbalance- 1 strike Calming Aura - Shaa Massive Healing - Shaa Art of the Iron Fist (1/3) (2/4 Preventions)

In his frustration, Shaa feels a sense of inexplicable calm wash over him. He needed to focus. Sure, things were not going great at the moment but this was not the worst situation he had ever been in. He just needed to think through the situation and what Vikram had said. Obviously the yeti wasn’t a cake. If he was he would have just eaten him and called it a day. Shaa hops over to where the bloody sword fell into the snow. Picking it up, he looked at it for what it was. A sword. The slice things, stab things. How do you make it go faster?
Turning the blade over in his hand, as it gets to the edge, the blade vanishes. In the calm of Shaa’s mind, he saw it. The flat of the blade was thick, but it’s edge was thin. Could he get something so thin into a layer? Like sliding a piece of paper under a door. Layers. Shaa looks over to the Yeti who, for the first time, looks a little wobbly. Had Vikram managed to strike his energy flow? He concentrated and saw that, sure enough, part of the Yetis network had been disrupted. Yes man! That’s it! Keep going! If Vikram could destabilize him enough, he might get a chance to end this.

Encouragement in the face of Adversity! It was the push he needed to regain control of the situation. Ducking another swing, Vikram concentrates, and gives a swift uppercut to the stream of energy leading to the creatures arm. He could see the disruption ripple forward and feedback into the main branch, the subtle waves affecting the whole structure. The yeti certainly felt it now, it's footing less sure and its strikes more desperate and misplaced. Squatting slightly as another arm swung over him, Vikram found a center of balance from which to strike out at the core of the Yeti. His fist struck fur, muscle, fat, and the center of energy keeping the beast aloft. The waves of the energy structure within were insurmountably unstable now, looking more like lightning bolts than streams of water. It's legs wobbled slightly, before it's balance was lost. The supersized beast collapsed to a knee, and began to topple.
"Rhunn! Finish it!"

The brisk wind whipped hard around the fighters, howling against their backs. Shaa watched the yeti stumble and bend. Despite the lack of coordination, Shaa saw the blaze in its eye. It was absolutely feral. It needed to go down and go down now. Pulling all his focus, Shaa rushed just past the yeti. Just as he passes, he snaps out the saber focusing past the yeti. As he skids to a stop, the yetis roar goes eerily quiet. His furry head slumps off his shoulders into the snow bank next to him.
Shaa stares at the saber in his hand. Crap, I can’t believe I did it! That was so cool! It was a good feeling learning something new. He might just need to pick up a sword. A technique like this might just be handy in the future. Shaa moves over to check on Vikram. He looks better than the yeti at this point, so that was good. The blood that covered the snow was quickly vanishing in icy bluster. Vikram! Are you ok? Things are starting to turn ugly around here. We need to move or we are going to get buried out here. Supporting each other, they start to make their way back down the mountain.

The remnants of the icy legs braces crumbled to the ground with a clatter as Vikram relaxed. He had to admit, that was pretty cool.
"Yes, yes, I am fine. Though the image of you smacking into a tree will be in my mind for a long time to come!" He exlaimed, a jolly laugh following suit. The chilly descent off the mountain was unremarkable, though he never really let go of the feeling that something was watching them until the snow had dissipated with the altitude. The spectre of Monk Pallas loomed over them, and he was certain that there was more to be learned in the future.
