Dear Mama,

Turns out I'm better in a fight than I thought-- your boy's gone and taken on a displacer beast all on his own, and he got out mostly completely unscathed! Thought ya might be proud to hear that one. But what's real important is I ran into some strange boy while I was loungin' about-- he doesn't talk, I don't think he can, so he uses a notebook for it. He was gonna kill the displacer beast for a reward, which. Whoops. My bad. Either way, we agreed to split the reward-- at least, the accommodations (spelling?). He won't let me give him the money, so... next time you see me, I'll be bringin' you that nice tea you like from Sol City! Maybe I'll bring my friend with me. His name's Akari. Just keep a buncha pens and paper 'round the house for him, okay?

I'm tryin' to talk him into teachin' me sign language. If I get him to agree, I'll teach you too, and then when I bring him by one day, he'll have an easier time talkin' with us.

Happy Winter's Crown! I sure hope you're keepin' the house warm-- I don't need those blankets when I ain't around, so you'd better put 'em to good use! Listen, I got noble work for once-- good honest stuff, protectin' shit. It's pretty fancy an' all, and the pay's good. You'd better be prepared for all the stuff I'm gonna bring back to ya, and don't you dare think to get me anything back. Only gift I ever need is your smile, Mama.

Uh, I will say, though, things got a little weird. I didn't get hurt or nothin', but a thief did come by. Don't you worry, though, everything was just fine. I barely remember much of it, it went by so smoothly! But I, uh, may have a little more spendin' money than I banked on gettin'. I love you. I can't wait to see you.

So... about that job. Things may have gone a little less well than I said they did, and the thief may have gotten away with more than I let on, but... to be honest, I don't really regret it. He's a really kind man, and he's got the kinda face where you can tell he means it, too. I probably shouldn't say his name in writing or nothin', but I think you'd like him a lot, Mama. Like, a lot, a lot. He's got a bunch of kids and he's kind and generous and he patched me up after I got injured because I walked into a door, and I ain't ever respected a man the way I respect him.

Is it wrong to turn my back on a job because it doesn't sit right in my heart? You always told me morals are more important than what fits in a pocket, and I think this guy's got the right idea. Don't worry though, Mama, I ain't goin' back on my word; I'm still gonna make damn sure you have a good Winter's Crown.

So, turns out the Frost Gale is real damn cold. Colder than I thought it was gonna be. A lot colder. I'm gonna be fine, but I sure have learned some... valuable lessons. Anyway, while I was walkin' around, I ran into this lizardfolk named Xalmann-- he literally radiates heat off of his body like a fire or somethin'. It's real neat, I think you'd think so too. He and I were just gonna travel together for a bit, but then we found this caravan in the snow...

Setsuna	Seiya's dearly beloved mother, an ordinary human woman who lives within the Crescent Isle. She raised Seiya all by herself, despite the great trials that came with raising a half-demon child, and has done her best to show him nothing but love. Seiya adores her more than anything in the world, and would set the world on fire if he thought it might make her smile. It wouldn't, though, so he won't set anything on fire.	Constellation
