The two returned from their trip into the forest with Lloyd to witness the miracle of... birth? As they neared the tavern, the barkeep ran out the door and up to them in a slight panic. He stopped in front of them, his hands on his knees, and breathing heavily. After he had finished catching his breath, he looked up to the three and began to speak.

"Hey, you're the ooze guys, right? You know stuff about oozes?" he stuttered out, looking from one of them to the other.

"Yes, I am an ooze expert! And an expert on oozes!" Blue Raspberry declared proudly, his hands on his hips. The barkeep looked at him with a little confusion for a moment before continuing.

"There's an ooze in the cellar. It's ruining all the food down there and attacking people. Can you guys get rid of it? I'll pay you." he said.

Lloyd looked very excited to hear the news of another ooze so close by. He immediately replied to the tavern owner's request before the other two could say anything.

"Of course! Oh, this is wonderful! Another specimen for my research." he looked at Blue Raspberry and Javal. "We absolutely must not harm it. We need to capture it alive so I can study it. Oh, I wonder what the effects of an ooze consuming alcohol might be. I must find out!"

He walked past the tavern owner into the bar, humming to himself. Blue Raspberry followed behind.

Currently Javal Zarrias was following behind his friends Blue and the professor after witness a slime birth, it was pretty awesome javal would have to say. As they were making their way back to the tavern to continue whatever business they would have Javal sees a Dwarfish Barkeep fellow running at them in a huff. He stops in front of them and yells about how there is a big slime in his cellar that's attacking people and eating the food. The professor immediately runs with the barkeep while blue and Javal are close behind them. They make it to the bar and it is worse than Javal imagined, the floor is covered by green slime tables are wrecked, food is everywhere. Javal picked the worst day to wear his sandals but then again he wears sandals everyday. The barkeep shows the group the cellar door  and says, "Well I'm gonna leave these to you guys the slime professionals here, I'm gonna head home for the day and by the time I come back tomorrow this place should be slime free". The trio open the door and walk down the small flight of stairs and there it is in the middle of the cellar a big green slime sliming there menacingly.

Lloyd stayed behind as Blue Raspberry and Javal made their way down the stairs into the cellar. He gave a thumbs up to the two before closing the door behind them. Clearly, he wanted the slime to study, but wasn't going to be any help in actually capturing it. He would leave that up to his companions.

When they reached the bottom of the stairs, they saw the cellar was a mess. Crates and barrels had been turned on their sides, their contents strewn upon the ground. Or they would have been, if they hadn't all been absorbed by the now quite large green ooze in the center of the room, greedily devouring the corn cobs that had spilled from a crate.

As the ooze finished devouring the corn, it noticed the presence of the two adventurers and quickly slimed away to hide among the wreckage of the crates and barrels. It squeezed into tight places, able to morph its body into any shape. It could be hiding just about anywhere. It would be difficult for the two to find in this mess and there would be a distinct risk of it ambushing them as they searched for it.

Blue Raspberry looked around and tried to listen for any noise, trying to detect the ooze. They spotted a wine cask off to the side that was now empty, but the lid was intact and the container should be watertight as it was made to hold wine. That should serve as a suitable container for capturing the ooze, if they could lure it inside.

Javal is not very good at games of tracking mischievous creatures that is more of his friend Sarne's territory of expertise  than his. Javal and Blue are in the Cellar looking where the corn cobbling ooze had slimed off too Javal began searching in the messy area of crates and barrels it slipped into and tried looking for it but there was nothing but slime there. Blue points and tells Javal that they could use the wine cask to contain it they just had to find it and capture it inside. Alright they have a way to get it under control but where could it be Javal begins knocking over bookshelves boxes wine casks but he doesn't see anything in sight it isn't until Javal has his back turned to the wall opposite of where the ooze slipped away that it reappears hitting Javal in the back ambushing him Javal slams into the wall as the ooze bounces onto the floor menacingly. Javal then grabs his sword unsheathes it and shakes his stone piece Gustave get ahold off that wonderous beast we need it not killed just contained. The slime is a tricking one evading both gustave and Javal but still popping in and out of the cellar's cracks to hit them hard. 

As Javal tears apart the cellar to look for the hidden ooze, Blue Raspberry goes over to the empty wine cask and checks it for any holes or damage from the ooze's rampage down here. It seems to be unharmed. It was probably already empty when the ooze arrived, so it was left alone. That's too bad, since Lloyd won't find out what happens when an ooze drinks alcohol. Well, it probably drank some other drinks down here, but they don't seem to have been affected by them.

As they finish inspecting the cask and finding it a suitable container, the sounds of a battle suddenly start. The sound of the gargoyle rook being summoned and the squelches and gurgles of the slime fill the cellar.

Blue Raspberry grabs the wine cask and begins rolling it over to where Javal and his gargoyl are fighting the ooze. The ooze is dodging all of the duo's attacks, leaping into the gaps between the furniture and stuffing itself into cracks in the wall before launching itself toward them. Gustave manages to punch the ooze, but it seems to have no effect on it and it leaves the gargoyle's arm sizzling and  covered in acid burns.

Gustave's hands are filled with ooze left burns, Javal is really worried but he is not sure what to do to help his poor friend out. The slime continues to bounce off of the room still hitting both of them every time. Each hit isn't very damaging but because it is continuous that it has so much of an effect on them. Javal tries to slash it down with his katana but narrowly missing and running into Gustave both of them crashing and getting up quickly. Gustave keeps trying to punch the slime or grab it but every time his tries his hands are left burning and slimy he cant get a good enough grip to hold him down for long. Javal keeps trying but it always ducks under his katana or jumps over his head every slash he delivers on it seems to shallow of a cut to even sever a piece of it off. Gustave finally manages to grab the ooze quickly and Javal thinks of a genius idea to cut the ooze into a smaller form they try to drop him into the wine cask but it jumps out of Gustave's grip and continues back into walls of the room hiding and striking but it is even worse now cutting it had the opposite intended effect it is way faster then before although it isn't packing as much of a punch than it did before but it seems even harder to get a hold of it now. 

The ooze dashes away back into the cover of the crates and barrels, away from the gargoyle's grasp. It's speed seems to have increased slightly as its weight was reduced, the cut off pieces liquifying on the ground and forming green puddles. Blue Raspberry raises the wine cask back into its position so it stops rolling around.

They need to find the ooze again and get it into this cask, but it seems tricky to grab. It's slippery and able to change shape. It's impossible to keep a solid grasp on it for very long. On top of that, its acidic slime burns away at whoever tries it. It's lucky that the gargoyle is the one that was burned. They'll be fine once they change back into a tiny rook again, but it would have been very bad if it had been Javal. Blue Raspberry had no way of healing their wounds and wasn't sure they would have anything either.

They were back at square one, looking around and listening for the sounds of the slime inside the cellar. There must be a better way to do this. Maybe an electrical shock could incapacitate the ooze long enough to throw it into the cask? It was worth a try.

"Javal, I will be the bait this time. Be ready to shut the cask." Blue Raspberry called to the Tiefling.

They walked closer to the crates, opening themself up to be attacked. Sparks of electricity began to arc between the pieces of their armor as they waited for the ooze to lash out at them.

Javal and Gustave stand at both sides of the cellar with Javal holding the cask and Gustave holding the cover. He sees Blue's body began to spark up, he was excited to see what amazing power he was about to behold. The slime continues its barrage of bouncing attacks on Blue this time but blue seems ready and not affected much, then at an opportune time Blue manages to grab the ooze holding it down with one hand. The ooze is struggling to get out of Blue's grip but due to it's smaller size its escape is futile. Blue then with their other free hand sparking touches the ooze. The ooze's body then stops squirming it it seems that Blue has stunned it. That was the moment they have been waiting for, Javal slides the casket under where Blue is holding the ooze then blue drops it and then Gustave covers it. The enigmatic professor then knocks on the door appearing to recognizes the noise of commotion has stopped. Javal yells over, "Professor you can come we've trapped the slime". The professor then quickly opens the door almost taking the door of its hinges. Runs down the stairs and looks at the trapped slime and says, "It seem that you two learn the power that slimes have as well as its beauty"

With the ooze safely contained inside the cask, Blue Raspberry let the sparks fade. They had managed to catch the ooze alive. Lloyd was very pleased. They carried the ooze up the stairs with the ooze researcher in the lead, acting so proud and triumphant one would think they had been the one to catch the ooze single-handedly.

Back inside the bar, they looked around and saw that most of the mess had been cleared up. The tables and chairs had been moved back to their proper places and the broken ones removed. The bar stools were under the bar as they should be and the floor had been cleaned. The tavern owner saw them emerge from the cellar and came over excitedly.

"Did you kill that thing? Is my tavern safe now?" he said to the group before noticing the wine cask. "What ya got that for? You wanted wine as your reward? I was going to pay you in money, you know."

"Ah, actually the ooze was captured alive. It's currently contained in this wine cask, here. I assure you we aren't trying to steal any of your property, but I would not recommend opening this container. The ooze could escape, you see."

The tavern owner stared at the cask for a moment before crossing his arms in front of him and nodding.

"Fine, as long as you get that thing out of here and keep it out! Here's your pay for taking care of it." he said as he handed a small, jangling pouch of coins over to each of the three. Lloyd took his pouch happily despite not helping at all.

Javal Zarrias walked out the Cellar proudly carrying the wine cask trapping the ooze with the help of Blue while Professor Lloyd opened the door for them. He was very happy that they were able to trap the mischievous slime and that he had both of his friends at his side. His jaw immediately dropped as he saw the shop completely clean up and says, "Sir Barkeep your ability to clean this well must be a skill that takes years to learn" and he bows. He then catches the coin pouch that the barkeep threw at him. He then thinks in his head, "Professor Lloyd deserves a portion of the reward since a genius such as himself helped us in his own way, I don't know what way that is since I'm not a genius but he did". They group then walks outside the tavern and sit down at a bench under a tree. Javal says, "What is next for you professor in your quest to find out the true secrets of slime?". Professor Lloyd says, "The journey to the truth of these fascinating creatures will not end today I will continue my research and further the peoples knowledge on ooze and slimes".
