Mariana is a short but muscular woman with a dense frame. She has lightly tanned skin and long dark hair with a slight wave to it. She has dark brown, almond shaped eyes that are very expressive. Her features are soft though laugh lines and other wrinkles that have resulted from her extremely expressive nature over the years are beginning to show more clearly.
She often wears a long tunic and simple cloth pants tucked into polished black leather riding boots. A worn leather belt secures the tunic about her waist, a few small pouches are attached to it.
History:
Mariana was born into a family of rich merchants in Sol City. Her early life was luxurious and she spent much of her time learning proper lady-like behavior while receiving a scholarly education on history, cultures, economics, politics, and any other topics deemed worthwhile by her family. More often than not she skipped these lessons in order to play in the stables or partake in sparring matches with rambunctious servant children in her families mansion.
As an adolescent she found herself falling away from her parents graces as she partook in rougher pastimes such as riding, hunting, and taking lessons at the martial academy. By young adulthood she had been ousted from her family home, disgraced in upright society, and kicked out onto the streets. She took this all in great stride, crossing the lands of charon doing odd jobs; sometimes working as a sellsword, sometimes a message runner, sometimes a guard, or whatever other occupation brought her amusement, excitement, or satisfaction for a time.
Personality:
A lover of thrills, surprises, adventure, and mystery; Mariana often finds herself in trouble of some sort though never by accident. She lives for combat, exploration, and romance. These things are the spice of life in her eyes. She is a romantic in every way, hoping to emulate story book characters and their larger than life conflicts. She often seems flighty and can have her head stuck in the clouds above the grim realities of situations she finds herself in.
She is quick to smile, hug, cry, laugh, fight, dance, sing, and express herself loudly and exorbitantly in whatever way she feels. She is not reserved or hesitant unless she's being playful and even then has difficulty with the act. If any insecurity or fear does exist in her its quickly blanketed by humor, action, flirtation, or grand speech so it remains hidden away from others.
Her love for animals and creatures is second only to her love of excitement. She cares for animals she owns as if they're children. Often she is overprotective and tends to baby them in detrimental ways that lead to strange behaviors being exhibited by them.
