Krazdan was already starting to regret his decision on leaving the marsh flats. Stargazer Village was surrounded by lush grassland, painting an idyllic scene pulled from a storybook. In his mind’s eye he could see some orphaned young farmer looking towards the horizon with wistful eyes wondering about the world outside of this peaceful safe haven, not knowing that they're actually of noble blood and are destined to save the world. Despite the fairytale beauty of Stargazers Field, Krazdan disliked such open spaces. He preferred the swampy woodlands of his home where there were far more nooks and crannies to hide from prying eyes. He also disliked villages, too many people in one place and they were noisy, a problem not only faced by Moonglade of course, for even the Marsh Flats had villages here and there, but he knew precious little of Moonglade so he felt it prudent to converse with the local populace. Surprisingly enough it did bear some fruit as the village was full of chatter about a traveling circus performing in town, apparently coming all the way from Eclipse City, though Krazdan wasn’t exactly certain where that was. With curiosity piqued, Krazdan walked towards where the traveling circus had set up shop. Hopefully he would be able to meet some interesting people.

In the distance set upon a hill above the town were colorful glowing lights and faint music. The circus had set up and the atmosphere was lively as always. The big tent, the caravans, the carnival games. In the midst of it all was the ring leader himself smiling as he greeted people, performing some magic tricks here and there for guests making sure everything was going correctly. Performers did tricks through the crowd and cheer was high. The main event would begin soon and the big top would surely be filled when the time came. Of course a few coins may go missing from a few guests but who would care to notice too much in a carnival perhaps they would just have fallen.

Regret again sunk in when Krazdan finished his ascent of the hill. This circus was filled with even more people than in the village below. Much more noisy too. However, the man performing magic tricks caught his attention. Krazdan wandered over to the man, inspecting the tricks he performed. It didn’t seem like this person was a dedicated magician, for although he performed some tricks, he seemed more focused keeping track of the customers and the other performers. Perhaps he was the ringleader? Or maybe just someone else in a sort of management position? Even still, Krazdan was curious to see if this fellow was actually wielding arcanum for his performance or if it was just clever sleight of hand, either way, it would be entertaining to try to puzzle out how these tricks were being performed.
