Elrodan enjoyed the talk with the young lad, inquisitive minds are sharp minds he said to himself. Elrodan said he hadn't met the werewolf, or at least wasn't aware of having done so as he didn't know who it was but he was sure it would be interesting. Then continued on with talk of fairies which after saying about his failure to find any, turned to his homeland one.

Elrodan welcomed Kamille with his normal warm smile and outstretched arms. "Today was good. The forest is lovely. I didn't meet any of the fairies though. Something had been following me but I don't know what. Still, it was very peaceful. A proper forest to enjoy. Did you get everything done you wanted? It looks like Mischief had lots to do too? Was there any fun things or different things to say about?"

He sat back down and continued to eat while kamille recited her days fun. 

Kamille looked tired, but seemed worried enough that Elrodan said he was being followed. She wanted to spend more time with her friend, even more so because she invited him here, but it turns out it was a bad time for that, with everything that was going on.

"Well... Work is usually not fun, but how else would I be able to buy fancy clothes?"

Truth be told, she often received lots of gifts, actually. But she came to like the work she did at the village, despite the fact it could be really draining.

"Let's go home, Elrodan... We might need to talk a bit and plan our activities."

She was trying to piece it in her head. For one, someone like Elrodan helping in her quest would be very useful, specially with the healing skills he showed to possess so far. But she couldn't let her friend be in such danger either. She would need to think this through.

Maybe she would need more help...

Elrodan squidged up his face. "You should make it fun some how. If you could have fun and ... afford clothes, then wouldn't that make you feel like you could buy other things too? Ummm maybe you could get someone to make you clothes? That Zak chap used to buy and sell things right? Give him a a prod and he might be able to make things too. I think he deserves to be able to stay in one place. He's a good fellow." Elrodan then leant in closer towards Kamille, a mischievous grin on his face, biting his lip slightly. "And..." he whispered "I think he likes you!"

Elrodan then gave a beaming smile as his face scrunched up again with it as he moved back away. "Though I can easily understand why. I would try wooing you if I could, but I don't think we're quite compatible." Elrodan sat down. "I mean I don't think Mischief would appreciate me being on your other shoulder all the time". And with that he giggled.

He soon drink down the last of his fill then looked Kamille square in the face "Yes, ok, home time. Oh! I promised a song for Mary! We'll go as soon as I've done that and we can talk all you want." And with that, he bounced over to the counter and drew the attention of Mary. After a few seconds of talk Mary rattled a spoon in a glass to draw the attention of the patrons "It seems our little fairy here, Elrodan Silverthorn has braved the wilds to come and sing for us tonight. Elrodan...over to you".

Elrodan sits on the counter and starts drumming away in a bouncy rhythm with his hands, he cycles the melody a couple of times before starting.
"Ankheg are like a giant bug,
in the ground they have dug.

Banshee have a terrible scream,
Biter torn, with an unending dream.

Blink dogs will come and go,
Here one moment and another no.

Bugbear are a hairy goblin form,
Fighting like a violent furry storm.

Chimera are made of many bits,
As dragon, lion and goat together sits.

Cockatrice have a deadly bite,
Keep you still as no other might.

Cyclops have only one eye,
Yet gold or shine they like to spy.

Dire wolves are not your friend,
Time with, you don't want to spend.

Dragon are a dangerous sort,
Mighty beast few have fought.

Ettin come with a head count two,
Joke they're not, for they will kill you.

Gargoyle have a hideous look,
Standing still, watching like a crook.

Goblins are one I'm sure you know,
In great numbers, I don't know why.

Golem come in many styles,
Flesh, stone, and iron or even clay piles.

Harpy sing and lure you in,
Don't go close, your life they'll win.

Imp are short when standing up tall,
Invisible, sting in the tail, for your fall.

Kobold without strength bones do snap,
When caught in their sneaky little trap.

Minotaur are just like a bull,
Cunning, despite wandering a labyrinth full.

The mummy is wrapped in bandages,
Keeping together all it's appendages.

Nothic have only one eye to see,
Turning you to rot with hideous glee.

Ogre have a terrible problem,
Anger issues, from an unknown stem.

Quasit are another that hide,
Invisible claws that have a poison side.

Skeleton have that boney rattle,
Raised from the grave, ready to battle.

Succubus will give you desires,
Give in to them leads to Demon fires.

Werewolves we know a bit about,
Giving a howl as well as a shout.

Zombies are the last on this list,
Not by any, should you be kissed."

Blows a kiss to the audience as he does a final drum on the counter, then flies over to Kamille. "Ready?"

Once again, Elrodan made her remember Zak, and she immediately felt her face getting warmer. She knew she was blushing intensely as Elrodan spoke of him, and how he thinks the handsome Zak liked her. Kamille, for once, was afraid to assess her feelings, since the last few years have been a tangle of love and hatred, bliss and hurt. She was tired, she was hopeless, and some part of her wished to be left alone.

But before she could answer, Elrodan jumped up to grace the tavern with one of his songs. The fairy had the talent to bring out a lighter version of herself, and she clearly saw it in the faces of the other patrons at the tavern. For a moment, she allowed herself to relax and enjoy the song, feeling her feet swinging to the beat.

She clapped with the rest of the tavern once he was done with the song, without realizing she was smiling. Only then the fairy came back to her, and she realized it felt like all of the tiredness of her body had been lifted. She would come back home lighter than she left it, in the morning.

Kamille stood up, with a smile.

"Oh, Elrodan.... You never cease to woo me.... Now, let's go home...."

Unlike the walk in the morning, she went home with Elrodan feeling much better than before.

With the journey home, the cool of the evening was nice, as was the company but it had been a long day and the further they went the lower Elrodan flew. He had to save himself for the big climb, that's what it was, not him getting tired.

"Oh, and as odd a question as it is, is there anything you'd like a song or such written about? It can be anything." Elrodan says as they make their way home then reaching the base of the great stair. He looks up at the route. "So you were saying there's an easy way up right...? With some special, portal, flying or magic?" he smiles before starting on his way on up. "So, what are the plans for tomorrow? I should show you the place I found, the river, the trees, the sense of pure serenity..." Elrodan sighed as he slowly climbed the stairs.

"A song? I never thought about that...... I met once a bard, a tiefling... I didn't ask him to sing me a song, but to write something that I could recognize someday..... Then I dragged him to ruin someone else's tea party, so... If you ever heard a song about someone ruining tea parties, that was me. But let's see... hmm......."

She looked thoughtful for a moment. Her ego would say she would want a song about herself, but she was not like that.

"You could sing about your adventures! I would love to hear that and recognize them... I would go to the others and say 'Look, I met this fairy before, he's my friend!' But I guess art doesn't come at demand.... What do you wanna sing about?"

The climb up was long, but when they were talking, time flew by.

"I can use a spell to get up to the door in the blink of an eye, but I can't take you with me. So I'll walk with you, don't worry. I'm glad you're enjoying the forests - I love them myself, even though they've become a bit crowded lately..."

And she needed to fix that quickly.

"I was thinking... Do you like stargazing? I hoped to show you a village nearby that has a great field people use to stargaze."

"You ruined a tea party? Why? Was the drink that bad? I thought you were a nice person, were you upset at something? Or were they bad people? That doesn't really sound like something I should sing about. Perhaps if you told me more of it then I'd be able to do something." Elrodan said in his normal quick way, not allowing Kamille to interrupt and correct him.

Flying up a bit, he sat on a step while Kamille caught up. What would he like to sing about? The forest could be an option, but was he too familiar with it? It would be a different kind of song then, more likely to be slower. Maybe that would be an option. He hadn't done a slow one for some while and that could be worthy. Something faster though... "Being happy, or making people happy. I think I'll try and do that if you've not something you want to request. Still, I like requests if you think of something." he said, giving a very stern nod.

"How do you mean the forest is becoming crowded? Is there more trees and bushes?" He said returning to the climb. "Stargazing could be fun, I normally see them up through the canopy when falling asleep and that's always nice but not really a full view of them. Would it be tonight or is there some astronomical event in the coming days?"

Kamille laughed softly.

"It was a long time ago.... This woman that was throwing this tea party was trying to arrange for her daughter to marry the guard I mentioned before.... So I was kinda angry. It didn't do much, except piss her off. I left Sol City soon after anyway."

Thinking of the past was a bittersweet pain. On one side, she liked to live at the big city - and mainly, at Court - despite never quite fitting in perfectly among noble ladies and lords. On the other side, it brought her so many bad memories...

And yes, she learned to love the forest - as well as her role in there, as the witch and "problem solver" of the village. It was calm, but at the same time exciting. She looked over to Elrodan, as they reached her doorstep. He was so pure, she felt the need of keeping him safe.

"There's lots of weird people, and travelers and bandits coming and going these last few weeks... I want to keep you safe. Sorry if I can't be as inviting as I planned this to be. But maybe we could still do some stargazing at the village nearby, where it's a bit safer."

And while they did that, she could try to find the culprit behind all of the deaths of the fairies......
