The Fate of the Crescent Islands
For months civil conflict has burned across the countryside, plunging the Crescent Isles into chaos and bringing the region to the brink of war. Grand Chancellor Lao has been busy investigating the strife, leaning on the support of local and foreign heroes alike. Tensions between the Islands and Moonglade have been rising for years, with a huge outcry for independence and freedom from the mainland region. A local band of freedom fighters known as the Oniwanban have been fueling the rebellion, pressuring the princess the make a choice - stand and fight or forever kneel to the Moon Elves of Moonglade. This rebellion has not been taken lightly; the crown has thrown its weight behind Moonglade and its claim to the islands.
The winds have shifted recently, however - the rebellion has proven successful and the will of the islanders remains solid. The Crown has come to a simple conclusion. Either give the Isles what they want, or war between the regions will break out. To avoid unnecessary bloodshed and a costly war, the Crown has proposed a more diplomatic solution, to leave the choice to the people of Charon and allow those who live in either region to share their voice on the matter. Thanks to the effective resistance, the Crown has allowed a peaceful compromise. If the vast majority want freedom, then the Crown is willing to offer it under the stipulation that the Islands remain a part of the larger empire, earning their own seat at the table and gaining freedom from Moonglade. However if the majority want to remain attached to Moonglade then the Crown will enforce this decision, even if it means bankrolling a full on invasion.
The time has come to let your voice be heard and vote on the future of the Crescent Islands. You can either vote to force the Crescent Islands to remain a part of the Moonglade Conclave, by force if needed, or vote to give them their freedom, allowing them to form their own independent political region free from Moonglade.
To vote in this poll you must meet at least one of the following criteria.
- Be a Tradesfolk and a part of the Moonglade Conclave in the political system;
- Own a Home in Moonglade or the Crescent Islands;
- Have completed at least one chapter of any one Quest chain in the Eclipse the Sun Event.
You will have until Midnight on December 31st to cast your vote.
