Dalanor Zai
Gender: Male (he/him) Age: Ambiguously looks somewhere between 30s-40s Race: Human (most likely, although the blue hair is questionable) Nationality: Capitol Landing |
~ Appearance ~
5' 9" 130lbs, finger-length navy blue hair and full beard, medium to light skin; Warm Beige tone, river blue eyes. Depending on the weather, he is typically seen sporting either a short hooded robe, long coat or jacket, and pants. Blue is his usual color of choice, ever since a repetitious, melodious song about the color was baked into his mind at a young age.~ Personality ~
- Calm, coolheaded and calculating, warmhearted to close friends, slow to trust and suspicious of everything. - Prefers a short disagreement when necessary and quickly moves on rather than a drawn-out grudge
- Free spirit, aspiring to unravel the secrets of the universe and deepen his understanding of the magic which weaves the fabric of reality
- Driven by a strange series of divine dreams to search for an artifact - an urn of forgotten origin. Or was it a cube?
- Sometimes a little too direct, but always tries to be respectful and well-mannered.
~ History ~
Dalanor discovered his natural affinity for magic at a young age and set off for a formal education at the academy. While some of his peers left immediately after graduation in search of adventure, he spent most of his adult life nose deep in a book, contributing his research to the academy and any who would benefit from it.
He is content to be a professor, teaching starry-eyed new students about space, time and the cosmos. Yet his sleep has been disturbed of late by a recurring vision - a magical artifact calling to him in his dreams. As years have passed with little hints about the artifact, he has begun to wonder if perhaps the answers he seeks lie not in the countless chronicles of civilization, but somewhere out there in the world beyond the academy. As a pious academic he has lived a frugal life and does not have the coin to fund a major expedition, but each day he finds himself peering longer out the window to the sea.
