Blithe guides Baird up the steps to the governing offices. Mors has purified his steely gaze to a razor point, meanwhile Baird's had become a new level of serenely distant. After so many weeks of honing new skills and improving on his natural abilities, this area was becoming just comfortable enough to feel like a staging ground for life's next hurdles. Reaching the doors to the Chancellor's representatives, the chimera was questioned by the men outside before entering. The guards regard him with a whole different kind of wary than when they first met him. There was a time when they accosted his presence for the matter of his monstrous appearance, but now they eye him with suspicion at his lack of proven loyalty. Like an estranged brother, he enters where he is judged most. Sitting at his desk was an ever-stern retainer, Bugyō Ishimori. Acting as the one to relay the Grand Chancellor's requests to the capable adventurers, Baird and company would thusly hear of their tasks. This was to be the final test to ensure the martial skills akin to the Oniwanban were being used for the defense of the Isles, chiefly. The chimera was allowed this far for clearing up a separate issue, but especially those tertiary and incidental defenders of the Crescent Isles had now brought great stress on their quietly garnered respect for endangering the people with their radical actions. The official spoke, "It is good to see you report back, Hundun. I hear your training is going well." Blithe curled upwards to watch the door behind them. The ceilings were vaulted for the sake of large visitors, but even then they had to bend at an angle. Baird had his bleary eyes cast down at nothing in particular, "The mentors you have assigned are fierce and apt teachers. They have guided me to skills that will keep the people safe." "For your sake, I certainly hope that to be true." Baird's thinned reason was scratched at the remark. Mors relayed feelings of resolved caution through their blood. "Besides that, I have something for you. You know of the Imperial orders to maintain security, the patrols and curfew. We want to present honesty in our efforts to alleviate the need of their intervention in our issues." The Bugyō did his best not to too outwardly express his frustration. "The Oni are acting brazen, and we need to decipher what their true goals are here. For this, you are to find where they are hiding within the city, collect intelligence if possible, and bring in any you can for questioning. If you must, you are allowed to snuff them out if they fight back. They are deadly just the same as you are, equipped just the same, and I admit that I'd be furious to hear that all the hard work on developing your abilities went to waste." Blithe curled around to nod along to Baird's words, "We will do all that we can. Is that all, sir?" Ishimori held up a hand, "Yes, one more thing.." Trouble In Hano (Chapter One)

Finding herself back in Grand Chancellor Lao's Palace was not exactly a pleasant experience for Ambika - not when she had ended up on house arrest as a result of showing up unannounced, and out of nowhere at that, even if that situation did resolve itself with no harm done to her. Troubles were brewing elsewhere in Crescent Isles it seemed, and the old soul would harbour a gripping distaste at her name being remembered by a person of authority. She was never one to enjoy the limelight - the comfort of staying in the confines of the tenebrous were all she had in her lowest, and whatever luminescence she found largely threatened only to further blacken her shadows and solidify the sanguine strokes caked on her hands. The only light that gave her enough warmth to step away from the darkness, the only person who never wanted anything of her other than her happiness, the one who complemented her by basking in the limelight and letting her be herself without judgment... It was a mere two years since his eternal slumber, and yet her body took to acclimating itself to the frenetic winds of change so eerily smoothly, she was all but ready to reenact the sins of times past once more without hesitation if that need came. Did Ambika trust anyone in the office? No. Did she at least trust they would not try anything funny in the open? Perhaps. Even if they did, though, she would not deign it appropriate to give away a tenuous connection she had to the criminal organization that was the Oniwanban. She doubted any of her one-time tutors even knew or recognized her at this point, anyway. Her counternance was old, wrinkled and fatigued. She no longer wore her hair the same way she did in days past, and most of the strands had long been blanched white from the passage of time, sped up further by her unrelenting grief. Her wardrobe remained the same black, but this black existed as a symbol of mourning rather than anything else. The guard walking ahead would escort her to one of the offices and knock at the door. "Come in." Following that, the guards at the sides would open up the door and allow Ambika entry, where she would lay eyes on a certain Baird Sickleclaw once more, now with what appeared to be an eel for a tail. She would not stare at it for longer than two seconds; after all, her first order of business was with the officer occupying this room. "This adventurer shall accompany you in your endeavours," Bugyō Ishimori voiced, before gesturing for the old woman to come over to his desk to hand over some intel, whereby she would notice a personal note popping out of the papers, positioned in a manner that left it conveniently obscured from the hybrid's view.
Watch out for him. You have permission to act however you see fit should he betray us to the Oniwanban.
Ambika did a slight bow as she stepped back once again, both as a courtesy and to affirm that she has received his message. "Now, then. Please excuse yourselves. I am a busy man, and the Oni do not rest either." Ishimori ended, and the guards would enter to escort the two out. Too many years have carved itself onto Ambika's essence for her to possess the temerity to outwardly delve into whatever changed Baird time and time again. Perhaps it was a blessing of sorts, perhaps a curse, perhaps even both. She had her own demons, and so she would have nary a whisper as the two carried themselves out of the office to perform their tasks in earnest.

The beasts remained wordless at Ambika's entrance, simply listening and turning slightly to note her presence with a slight bow. Mors quickly got ahold of his expanding eyes and repressed his face back into its constrained dignity. Blithe returned her look for far longer, his fins twitching for a moment before growing still. He broke away to keep watch of the door once she got closer. Shortly after, they'd acquiesce to the guards' escort.
The mission had commenced. It was up to them to stop a disaster far outside their scope, but the coming havoc would be here far sooner and heavier than any could expect. The time to act was now. They'd be set loose from the doors of the city's main offices. The chimera would silently face the incredible huntress.
Baird could only see a smear of streaking lines. The splotch of dark capped with white evoked nothing without context. But he knew what he was looking at. He could feel a familiar gravitas in the shared blood of Mors and Blithe.
He'd open with a rub at the crimson flesh that warps like ocean waves around his eyes, "It hasn't been very long, but it feels like forever, Shanti. I, uh, apologize; I ran dry of my usual scrumptious greetings a little bit ago. Hard to find the chance to make-" "We have a serious problem to take care of, buddy. Besides, I doubt the woman who took on the might of the sun with so much grace is big on small talk, not with the likes of us." Mors urged bluntly. He was sweating already with eyes wide, even though the grimace still maintained underneath. He craned his neck to look towards one of the locations of one of the recent raids, a warehouse visible from the elevated hill their current section of the city rested on.
Baird's brow furrowed slightly upwards, but he quietly waited for Ambika's lead.

"Long time no see, Baird and Mors. Worry not. There will be no time for food where we are headed." Ambika gave a nod, showing no positive or negative indication towards Mors' statement. Sarne was an exalted fighter, certainly, while she was a retired assassin who had far too long of a blank to ever return to her prime. Not that she necessarily wanted to with how she found herself refusing to get up close and personal, preferring the self-serving dissonance of surrendering the violence to long-distance projectiles and implements.
The provided intel suggested that the attacks were sporadic... At first glance, anyway. Florentio would have deduced the strategy being employed here immediately were he here, but alas, he was not. Still, though, some of his morsels of knowledge he saw fit to elaborate on wormed its way into Ambika's psyche, allowing her to pick up that the Oniwanban were going out of their way to avoid the vicinity of certain warehouses such as food and metal storages, likely to avoid long-term self-sabotage in the form of embargoes. Sustenance and weaponry. However, excluding those two options meant there was only one target left ripe for raiding - the woodworking warehouses. The old soul sorely hoped she was wrong as she explained her theory to the chimera as best as she could. The potential for collateral damage was much too great, worse still if firewood was present. The criminal organization was definitely more than willing to sacrifice the common folk's very survival for their bloody goals.
Ambika pointed at one prime target that was not in the vicinity of any food and metal warehouses, and suggested the two head there.

Baird's eyes unfocused further, leaving the world and Ambika as just a vague wall of color. He nodded plainly at the suggestion. Blithe took heed and curled around to one side, following where the warehouse was located. Once the direction was felt, Baird would turn to head that way, and walked. Mors breathed deep through his nose, waving his outstretched wings to cool off.
The pair would set off through the city streets to the likely target. There was a level of necessary discretion, being that one of them was a monolith of distorted flesh who had recently been training under hired experts. Ambika's voice rang in the boar's mind: ["You stick out like a sore thumb."] Baird wondered at the idea of being able to move inconspicuously. He thought of how it must be second nature to his adventurer comrade. Her ability to hold it all in, acting as though nothing was out of the ordinary. The dangerous woman who cracked open her shell so very slightly to a stuck pig. Different business that he'd hopefully earn enough trust to get into.
Mors' mind was racing at being crushed between a rock and a hard place. The Oniwanban making such overt moves and dangerous plays meant walking against a cruel and calculating foe. That wouldn't be so difficult, but of all people to have to stand beside, it was the woman who witnessed his greatest shame. A brawl using all of his might nearly getting himself and Baird killed, over nothing. He'd struggle to keep his eyes steady from the anxiety swirling between the two heads.
Ironic, then, that it is Blithe to try and calm them down. The watch-beast cared not about past affiliations or stress over what was already done. He felt the waves of hard emotion emanating from his shared body, and returned with a bite at their shoulder.
""Ah-!"" The two said in unison, looking over at the retreating eel. Then to each other. Time to get a grip.
The location was coming into view. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary so far. They couldn't know who were eyes or ears to the organization, however. Whether here or at any point should tactics come up along the journey, Baird would make a suggestion, "It might be an issue if I am seen too close. I've learned how to get around, though. I'll travel the rooftops so the streets won't notice. You know best the subtle side of things, so your plan is going to beat out anything I could come up with. Anything you'd like me to do or know while I'm up there?"

The old soul had aged too far along to remotely care that she was walking beside what was, by many measures of the word, a chimeric abomination who could easily be mistaken for a monster to be hunted. Besides, people were capable of worse atrocities while wearing the most pristine of faces, and she need not look further than those who would have been her in-laws had Florentio not been disowned as a result of a power struggle. "Be wary of any smoke or marked papers. Two of the Oniwanban's favourite employs." There were other implements in their arsenal, of course, but those were their most insidious. Ambika hoped Baird and Mors would not ask her why, even as she believed they had enough sense not to attempt to delve into her unsightly secrets for the time being. So it was that Ambika made her way to the woodworking warehouse, and lo and behold a piece of paper was falling right in front of the warehouse, barely perceptible amidst the fair skies and the only reason she caught it was because of her trained eyesight[1] and that she was on high alert for any such signs the whole time. A quick bolt directed at it would send the paper careening diagonally upwards and allow the warehouse to avoid the worst of the fiery bloom[2], but a fire occurred still. As Ambika looked around for any possible culprits, her instincts made her turn to the side and catch a silhouette swinging a chain with a sickle[3] over their head, perhaps attempting to capture her for disrupting their chain. That would be swiftly thwarted with a quick bolt[4] to their hand which flew deep and prevented them from throwing out the chain proper due to the bolt introducing extra friction. Seeing that they were at a disadvantage, the to-be assailant throw a smoke grenade in front of them and ran off.
Opting against chasing after the fellow for now - she had already drawn blood[5][6] anyway - Ambika would go check on Baird, Mors and whomever that eel was, and let them know that she had a lead they could work with if the situation allowed.
[1]Sharpshooter - Far SightYour aim and range as a marksman has increased, making you even deadlier at long ranges while using a range weapon. You can see just as clear as normal but now at twice the distance, letting you track and see targets even at incredibly long distances. Your reach with a weapon has also increased, letting you fire a weapon twice as far as you normally would be able to. [2]Oniwanban Shadow (NPC) - Fire Flower Scroll This scroll or seal tag can be placed and used remotely or used directly by the Oniwanban Shadow. When used or activated it releases a fan of fire balls that barrel forward in a twenty foot cone and burn anything in their path dealing moderate fire damage. Some say the fire itself looks like a budding flower as it moves outwards. [3]Oniwanban Shadow (NPC) - The Kusarigama The Kusarigama is comprised of a Kama or Sickle, and long piece of chain with a weight attached at the other end. You can use this weapon to grapple people or objects and pull them towards you a short distance, as well as attack with the sickle or weighted side at range. [4]Sharpshooter - Quick Draw You now have become incredibly quick and agile with your weapons, allowing you to manipulate and use them faster than others. You now ignore the reload speed of any ranged weapon that uses ammo and can draw a ranged weapon from its resting place in twice the speed, letting you get more shots off or respond to enemies much faster than you normally could. [5]Sharpshooter - Blood Trail Damage done by your range weapons now cause the wounds to bleed even more, forcing excess blood from the wound. This will cause anyone who has taken damage to leave behind a blood trail, which you have trained to track. This bloodtrail will spatter the ground, leading you directly to your target. This makes it incredibly hard for your enemy to hide once you have damaged them. [6]Sharpshooter - Crippling Wounds Damage with your range weapons now cause crippling wounds, wounds that sting and burn, lasting longer than normal. These wounds can not be healed by spells or abilities and take twice as long to heal naturally. This prevents others from healing the damage you dealt, allowing you to close in and truly finish off your prey.

Baird gave a nod to Ambika to acknowledge the advice. Although they weren't agile, the beastman was nimble in his own way. [1] With hoof-claws too blunt to be useful in a fight, he could instead catch the needed holds along with his broad reach and ungulate legs. It seemed as quick as a jog going straight up as Baird leapt from brick wall, to distended window, to shingles, before disappearing over the edge onto the roof. Now the simple operation became a two-pronged investigation. The actual investigating would be put on hold rather suddenly, however. A guard posted at a nearby lookout tower spotted the giant's shape suddenly popping up like a shark breaching water. It was an imperial set to watch for anything unusual, so the information of Baird's goal to prevent the Oniwanban's next attack had not been spread to him yet. The guard shouted, "Monster! Is that a plot by the rebels!?" "We're not a monster, jackass! We're just moving around a bit faster up here!" Mors would shout back. "Then get off the rooftops, this isn't public-" The guard would be interrupted by the whistle of a bolt that burst into flames shortly after. Blithe wriggled his signal for danger, prompting Baird to ignore the yelling and sprint towards the burning structure. "You were trying to distract me! Alarm!!" The lookout began uproariously calling for aid and ringing a bell. All the hybrid could do was dart towards the rising blaze. More trouble to put into the pile. Reaching the warehouse, Mors and Blithe could see plenty from atop the tall structure they were perched. Baird had to wait for a signal, sight was simply unintelligible for him. Ambika's quick action diverted the fire from erupting through the main entrance, instead into a slightly smaller fire near the corner of the building at the second floor. They'd catch the start of the ensuing scuffle she would handily resolve. Mors planned to scout for other Oni, but Blithe caught sight of something whirling straight for them. Ducking to one side, they'd ready for a fight. The whirling would come back around, nicking their upper left arm before they could evade. A hand would appear from thin air to catch the folding shuriken.[2] A cowl, then dark tunic, shimmered into view beneath it.[3] Beside the assassin were two identical members crouched for combat.[4][5] Baird called out, "Spill it!" but only got silence in return. The hard way, then. He charged forward. From this distance, the shape of the enemy was readable enough to swing at. Along with that, Mors beak pointed at incoming danger. Blithe kept guard of the rear.
Two of the Shadows darted away, leaving one to be tackled. Baird should've known better, but has yet to come across a cunning opponent of such skills. The rush of his shoulder meets no resistance as the decoy dissipates into wisps of smoke. For his ignorance, Baird pays a blood tax as his back is pierced from a leaping strike.[6] For the assassin's gall, their thigh was engulfed in rows of glass-like fangs dripping with venom.[7] Baird fell to a knee at the agony of the deep wound. As a parting gift: a [BANG] preludes smoke engulfing the space. Instantly, the weight of the assassin disappeared with a push.[8]
Mors took over a moment and grabbed at one of the pistols tucked under his wings.[9] With a smooth motion, swept around to find the Oni. He'd never find them. His reward for the effort was a lash at his hand. A tendril of smoke broke skin doing so, then swirled around the gun that fell from his grip.[10] It, too, would never be found.[11]
Having to cut their losses or risk being picked apart within the enemy's field advantage, the chimera opted to dive off the rooftops. Catching themselves onto the opposing wall across the alley, they'd drop down. They'd begin searching for Ambika in hopes to see how she fared and to coordinate the next move.

Ambika... supposed she should have thought that the chimera would find himself in trouble immediately. By the time she found Baird, he'd suffered some roughing up and also poisoned for good measure. She supposed that she ought to figure out a way to help him stay hidden - even if he might not use it at all it would still be useful to her - so she booby-trapped one side of the alley with makeshift barbs[1], then she pulled out her full-body cloak[2] she had for emergencies and set to work camouflaging it[3] in the shadows[4][5], keeping a sharp eye out for any possible trouble from the opposite side. "Can you move?" There was no point asking about the trio's current condition when it was clear enough he was not alright and she had nothing to offer that could help. "I have a trail we can follow." As Ambika put on the finishing touches to the cloak, she would attempt to offer the garment to him. "Here. It is only half your size, but it is better than nothing." If he refused, then she would simply wear it on her person instead. Then, as if to deny the two any further respite, a group of Crescent Isle guards would charge in from the trap-free side of the alley, leaving Ambika to throw out one of her glass spheres[6] while shouting, "This way!" She would immediately follow up with a high leap[7] past her own traps and weave her way around the alleys as she followed the blood trail[8] left by her prey, remaining in the shadows as best as she could until she came upon what appeared to be an abandoned warehouse with visible damage but also enough shade for anyone looking to hide themselves. The place could probably be functional again if anyone bothered to spend some coin on renovations. If matters went well on the part of Baird and Mors and again, whomever that eel was, then perhaps they might catch slivers of a conversation.
[1]Improvisation Engineer: Spidersilk Wire + Caltrops + Sticky Paste[2]The Cloak A full body cloak with long wide sleeves and a hood, made of canvas and often comes in a flat, matte color, such as grey, tan or cream. The cloak is large enough to fully cover the users body, and then some, able to hide the users arm and leg movement while under the cloak. Internally it has a wealth of pockets which hold your various equipment and has a storage value of 8 item points. Is largely rain proof. [3]Camouflage Kit Much like the Investigation Kit, this too has the necessary tools for its purpose. This camouflage paint allows the user to blend into any environment that they find themselves in and can be applied to any of their gear, clothing or items. Once applied, it significantly reduces your visibility while on the move, and when remaining still, the user becomes effectively invisible to traditional non-magical means of detection. Requires one post to apply to a single item. [4]Shadow Manipulation (+1 Umbral Mote) You can manipulate shadows that you are a part of or are touching with the umbral magic of the Shadow Dancers. When you are a part of a shadow, cross over one, or manipulate a shadow as part of another ability from this class, you gain one Umbral Mote. [5]One with the Shadows
While within a shadow you have the effects of the ability Shadow Hiding from the Stealth Shop active at all times, and you can now move and interact with objects without breaking its effect. [6]Improvisation Engineer: Glass Sphere + Flash Powder + Smoke Powder [7]Long Stride This spell can only be activated and used by the owner of the spell, only affecting their own person. The next time the owner would jump, they can instead jump three times their normal distance. This allows them to jump over gaps or obstacles, or even scale high walls. This spell only effects the next jump and must be used again to gain the effect an additional time. [8]Blood Trail Damage done by your range weapons now cause the wounds to bleed even more, forcing excess blood from the wound. This will cause anyone who has taken damage to leave behind a blood trail, which you have trained to track. This bloodtrail will spatter the ground, leading you directly to your target. This makes it incredibly hard for your enemy to hide once you have damaged them.

Did that strike at his back hurt? Absolutely, but nothing a quick bite out of the gleeful potato couldn't take care of, for now. [1] If the beastman can move, he can fight. Once the guard came late to the party, as usual, he'd clamber up a wall and quickly sidle over the traps to follow Ambika. Although she was significantly faster and more discreet than the giant, he could follow along with the trails. He'd reach the warehouse not long after her arrival. Abandoned, but likely inhabited. Baird and Mors quietly signed to Ambika that they'd peer through a poorly patched hole in the roof, and indeed they wouldn't even have to get into position before something already came up. The assassin that struck at the chimera's back limped onto the scene. The Oni's leg was clearly surging with pain as they tried to hustle back to base, large gashes down their thigh swelled from Blithe's Venom. Once within sight, another shrouded figure would rush out to help them inside. Mors felt good seeing that the puncture behind his shoulder didn't go unanswered. Muffled sounds of shuffling and clanging came from inside the warehouse. Baird would seize this opportunity to mask the sound of his climbing. Getting to a mantle at the edge of the roof, the eel would stretch to see through the porous structure. Within he spotted a handful of Oni expressing distress at their situation. The one that offered their shoulder to the assassin spoke first, "We've been compromised. Agents, likely paid by the Chancellor. Is Doc here? Jin's leg is oozing." This one was kitted just as Baird, meaning a Footsoldier. "That lady had moves, we might be in deep trouble here. Ngah! Easy on the hand!" the sickle-wielder cried as bandages were tightened around the deep hole in his palm. A Shadow, obviously. "Quiet! You're lucky to still be awake, there's blood everywhere. I'm here, set Jin down" the supposed 'Doc' said. They didn't have any visible equipment. Probably another Footsoldier? 'Jin', the assassin that stuck Baird whined, "My leg. I can still use it, but it feels like ice was stuck into my muscles and needles stab as I flex them. Whatever that thing was, it wasn't smart, but who knows what it can do?" A comment that stung with the truth, but the hybrid called it even. The first to speak held a hand at their chin in deliberation. "We don't have much time. I'll have to let the others know our operation was a bust. Hopefully each of theirs went better. Get Jin moving, Doc, we are going to have to vanish. Five minutes, everyone."
If Ambika was holding position outside, Mors would be sure to relay anything he heard through simple signs and Baird mouthing. [4 Oni: maybe even split of Foot and Shadow. They scatter in 5 minutes.] However she mobilized; Baird, Mors, and Blithe would brace to back her up.
Enchanted Potato A seemingly normal potato that never rots or spoils. However the potato is actually alive, animated by a weird type of dark magic. The potato does not do much and will just hang out most of the time, however it comes with a weird quirk. The potato wants to be eaten, or at least bitten. Anyone who eats a chunk of the potato will heal a major wound, and appease the potato. The potato will regrow after a few days, replenishing its usage. Comes with three bites per topic before the potato needs to recharge.

Others. Ambika supposed she should not be surprised that this was a large-scale operation, but the goals were beyond her. Either way, the two (well technically three-in-one and her) were veritably outnumbered, and unfortunately for the both of them, the Oniwanban had the home field advantage here. And while she could easily disappear and simply make her way back to the office without really being noticed, covering for her chimeric companion would be a different story. No guarantees Baird, Mors and- she really ought to ask what that eel's name was one of these days- would not be spotted on the way down and out either. A glassy fire into the hole [1] would see to it that the four Oniwanban would be unfit for any hostile actions for more than enough time to escape without notice, and Ambika beckoned the chimera follow behind her as she wove around the narrower alleys to keep Baird's visibility to the minimum, and making good use of the evening shadows to draw out more of her tangible darkness [2] for future use. The sensations do not quite feel like what it used to be, but it will serve. Just as she was about to reach the vicinity of the governmental office, however, she would notice a flash of killing intent and instinctively swivel around with her crossbow dancing into her hand, a bolt fired with murderous precision and force. [3][4] However, there would be no impact and the shot would simply rush through the air until it reached terminal velocity and began its descent. Either it was a fluke, a distraction or an omen. Neither of which bode well one way or another. Ambika would take the lead in entering the office, understanding that the chimera was likely on much thinner ice than she was in general and handled the main proceedings. Ishimori was displeased that the two did not manage to procure proper intel, but begrudgingly agreed that a partially-averted disaster was better than nothing - the guards managed to salvage a good amount of the targeted warehouse, and that afforded the two enough grace to rest within the confines of the office for the time being.
[1]Improvisation Engineer: Glass Sphere + Powdered Glass + Crude Gunpowder
[2]Shadow Dancer - Shadow Manipulation You can manipulate shadows that you are a part of or are touching with the umbral magic of the Shadow Dancers. When you are a part of a shadow, cross over one, or manipulate a shadow as part of another ability from this class, you gain one Umbral Mote. You can only have a maximum of four Umbral Motes at a time and can only gain a maximum of two per post. Each shadow can only give you one Umbral Mote per thread, meaning you must traverse through a new shadow every time you want to gain an Umbral Mote. [3]Sharpshooter - Quick Draw You now have become incredibly quick and agile with your weapons, allowing you to manipulate and use them faster than others. You now ignore the reload speed of any ranged weapon that uses ammo and can draw a ranged weapon from its resting place in twice the speed, letting you get more shots off or respond to enemies much faster than you normally could. [4]Sharpshooter - Piercing Shot With the focus and patience of a true sharpshooter, you have gained the ability to charge a shot, holding back your strike for a short duration and building up tension. You can choose to super charge your next shot, giving it extra punching power. The charged shot will ignore things like armor, structures or walls and can be used to pierce things, ignoring the defensive capability of it. This allows you to shoot through a barrier or even hit an enemy directly, ignoring their armor. You only get two charged shots per topic.
