Das has lived in King’s Valley his entire life, and in living there, he has interacted with a plethora of people that others might consider strange. Even those initially unfamiliar to him in nature from the Marsh Flats had differences he learned to appreciate. Despite this, he cannot say he has ever met two people quite like Krazden and Staccato. Now that things have calmed down, he gets a better look at them. They certainly have interesting features.
But he’s not one to judge. Or think that hard for that matter.
When hands are offered to shake, Das takes them eagerly, giving them a firm and solid shake with a smile. “Krazdan and Staccato. Good to meet you both properly,” he says. “I appreciate your willingness to jump in and help. This would have been a lot harder without your help and wits.”
The mention that Das was hot– physically –makes the Fellblood tilt his head with some confusion. “Maybe it was just the heat from my blade?” he suggests, having literally not idea the intense heat he was putting off. “If not… Maybe the ancestors were keeping watch over me?” His lip quirks into a smile at the idea.
It seems like people are emerging from their homes and hideaways, and Das turns to look at them. Here he and two other odd people stand in front of them as their rescuers. Possibly all of them castouts just trying to do the right thing. In some effort to break the tension, he nervously asks, “Is everyone okay?”

Krazdan also eagerly takes Staccato's hand in his own.
"Yes, yes! Always good to meet new friends! Do you mind if I ask you two a few questions?" And before they get a chance to respond Krazdan continues, "Staccato, are you able to see out of all of your eyes? And do your fangs produce venom, or is it your saliva that is poisonous, maybe both? And Das, on a scale of one to ten, how much do you think being set on fire would hurt? Do you prefer being in colder environments or warm-"
Krazdan stopped speaking as he noticed the villagers approaching. His psychic connection with Staccato and Das warbled as anxiety bubbled up in Krazdan's chest. He had been isolated for so long that he was quite unused to holding the attention of more than one or two people. The villagers continued to edge warily towards Das, Staccato, and Krazdan. As Das asked the villagers if everyone was ok, Kar’Das’Dun's words seemed to confirm something in many peoples' minds and their apprehension faded into smiles. Instead of responding to Das the villagers cheered uproariously. Krazdan, once again, spoke to Staccato and Das within their minds, but this time there was another voice as well.
"We must leave, we must LEAVE! Too many eyes! Too many voices! They're watching watching watching WATCHING!"
"It was an absolute pleasure to meet the both of you, but I must take my leave!"
Krazdan turns to run the opposite direction of the encroaching villagers but stops and turns back towards Staccato and Das while digging through the underside of his cloak.
"Before I leave, here. You two took a lot of stings. Apply this salve on your wounds now and apply it again when you wake up. Within three days the swelling should reduce. (Medical Kit) Now, farewell my friends!"
Krazdan sprints as fast as his four feet will take him until the depth of the swamps embrace him once again. Meanwhile the villagers continue to cheer for Staccato and Das, except for one guy who asks, "What happened to my shed?" but his voice is drowned out by the rest.

Staccato simply waved off the praise.
“Yeah, no problem, no problem, a few wasps won’t kill me-“
Though he tried to act nonchalant, his giant grin gave him away. To think he just went on a quest of his own for the first time; it turned so well!
He eagerly completed the handshakes, glancing back and forth from his new friends until he heard Krazdan speak up, his gaze as blank as his mind became with the rapid fire questions.
“Uhhhh, yes?” He hesitantly answered, “That’s a yes to all of those, right? What was the last part…?”
Too bad he never received his answer as Krazdan suddenly fled the scene. He watched him disappear, blinking, before then walking over to where the salve landed to pick it up. Huh. This looked handy. It would have to wait though, as there were other things- or rather people- to address first.
Indeed he knew all eyes were on him and Das. Admittedly, he held his own reservations with them thanks to previous experiences, and Krazdan unintentionally pointing out their watchful gaze did not help. Yet the arachnoid beast stayed where he was and simply smiled at anyone who happened to lock eyes with him.
Soon that smile became sincere as the crowd erupted into cheers. His plan actually worked! It did pay to be a hero! Staccato laughed joyously, accepting any questions that people had for him. Most of them simply wondered how they defeated the wasps, but a few were curious about his appearance, namely the young ones.
As for Das, he let Das deal with anyone who was interested in him. No doubt people had their questions for a guy who literally wielded fire.
Das and Krazdan. Yeah, he’d remember them. Hopefully this wouldn’t be the last time they met.
