'Round the World in Faeghty Days
A flurry of mysterious curses have been afflicting small rural communities across Charon and the Knight Orders are at a loss for what could be causing the chaos. Sporadic dancing compulsions, transmogrification, and what can only be described as disturbing magical illnesses are only a few of the odd occurrences as of late. Not only are people being afflicted, but the lands have also been warped and transformed with sudden floods and bursts of plant life appearing overnight. While the Knight Orders work to try and maintain order and protect civilians driven to the brink of madness, they have had no choice but to reach out for aid in putting whatever is causing the afflictions to an end.
Multiple teams of adventurers have received a call to arms from Knight Orders to collect clues and track down whatever is responsible for distorting landscapes across Charon and causing locals to act erratically. Do you have what it takes to join the hunt? Your journey will take you to a remote location somewhere in Charon to uncover the identity of a new power invading the world. If you believe you are the hero for the job, then sign up below and help solve this mystery!
This Dungeon Event will take place in various locations across Charon and will include a variety of obstacles including enemies, traps, puzzles, and other kinds of interactive opportunities.
The Dungeon Event will include an Action System. This system is designed to encourage creativity and teamwork to solve tasks by limiting how many Actions (spells, attacks, etc.) one character can use each reply.
Damage will be tracked mechanically for this event. Each member will have two wounds they can receive before they are knocked unconscious and are forced to abandon the event (you will be knocked out on the third wound).
Most forms of damage will add a wound, but wounds can be healed also. Healing magic will remove a wound, however that specific spell can no longer heal wounds from that target. Some wounds may not be able to be healed by certain spells, such as major wounds being healed by minor healing spells.
Sign-ups will close on March 31, at 12 am ET, followed by a draw for participants! The dungeon threads themselves will start on April 6.
Dungeon Basics
A dungeon is a long-term, expansive, and difficult activity designed to explore and unveil secret or forgotten aspects of Charon's history.
A dungeon thread will consist of a party of three player characters working together to clear obstacles put in place by a member of staff. Staff will act as a narrator and provide updates on outcomes of actions taken at regular intervals. Dungeons are considered Party versus Staff events, meaning staff are in control of all enemies, traps, puzzles, and other obstacles.
Player characters will need to utilize everything at their disposal to overcome the dungeon challenges. When making replies to the topic, participants need to be as detailed as possible, describing everything their character does to the best of their ability.
Character inventories will be considered locked for the dungeon once a player makes their first reply in the dungeon thread. Participants cannot buy things to be used in the dungeon after making their first reply.

Activity Commitment
This is a collaborative event and a high level of activity is required. Once the topic starts, each participant has 72 hours from the last participant's post to reply. If a participant does not post within the time frame, they will be skipped and anything happening to their character will be considered an auto hit or auto fail.
(We understand life happens and can make exceptions if something serious occurs.)
Success and Failure
If the party succeeds, they will earn a reward for completing the dungeon and a unique reward, but will also earn a reward for the entire site.
Dungeons consist of checkpoints to progress. These can be in the form of figuring out a puzzle, completing a combat, or any other narrative requirement to progress.

If the entire party falls unconscious and has no means of continuing the dungeon, they will still earn a reward for participating in the dungeon, but will not receive the unique reward.
Failing the dungeon does not end in the death of characters. Characters will be knocked out and returned to a safe location to recover.

Rewards
Participating in the dungeon rewards one Unique crafting material for each member who was a part of that team. Teams that complete the dungeon earn an additional unique reward. If any team manages to complete the dungeon, a special event shop will open for the entire site to use.
For the 'Round the World in Faeghty Days event, the site will gain access to the Setryd's Trove Shop which will be released at the end of the event.
How to Enter
To enter the participation draw, reply to this thread with the character you would want to use during the event. Players with multiple characters are asked to select only one character to enter into the draw.
Due to the dangerous and demanding nature of a dungeon, only characters with a minimum of 50 posts qualify to participate in this event.
If you as a player participated in the last dungeon (and ran through the dungeon with any of your characters), you are not eligible to enter this current dungeon at this time.
If you entered a character in the last draw for participating in the dungeon but were not selected to participate, your character for this event will gain an extra draw entry.
If we run out of participants, another call to enter will be announced in which you can re-enter the draw to participate even if you failed to complete the dungeon. Players with multiple characters can enter a different character into the draw in this instance.

Dungeon Rules: 'Round the World in Faeghty Days
For this event, the following rules apply.
Action System
This event will be run using the Action System during combats, timed puzzles, and chases. This will be indicated by the member of staff in their response as to when the Action System is actively in play, and when it is not.
While the Action System is active, each character can take up to TWO Actions as defined in the Action System.
To keep things as simple as possible for readability, ease of writing/tracking actions, and fairness, there are a few special limitations on Private NPCs which are described below that only apply for this event.
Private NPCs such as summoned creatures, minions, and pets can take up to ONE Action as defined in the Action System (this must be detailed in the body text of your reply as well as included in your Action Summary at the end of your reply).
Any PC can bring one Private NPC (can be a minion OR pet) into this event (regardless of NPC cap or if the minion or pet counts against NPC cap).
Characters with Prestige Classes that grant minions can bring up to the max number minions granted by the Prestige Class levels that they have listed in their inventory before inventories are locked in (max of three Private NPCs and any gear/pets that are part of their assigned Skills as per the specific Prestige Class guidelines).
Wound System
Damage will be tracked mechanically for this event. The Wound System works on a "three-strikes, you're out" basis, meaning that each PC member of a party can take up to three major wounds, but upon that third major wound they fall unconscious and are unable to continue onward. Two minor wounds equal one major wound.
Private NPCs are not as powerful as PCs, as such they are a bit more fragile. Private NPCs can take up to two major wounds before they fall unconscious. Two minor wounds equal one major wound.
If all three PCs fall unconscious, the team's run ends and a new team will be selected. A team with any unconscious PCs may also forfeit if they do not wish to continue.
Most forms of damage will result in a wound, but wounds can be healed. Healing magic will remove a wound of equivalent severity, however that specific spell can only be used once per target. Some wounds may not be able to be healed by certain spells, such as major wounds being healed by minor healing spells.
Types of Wounds
Types of Healing
*Life Drinker enchantment works on self only.
**Medical Kit can only be used outside of combat due to the time needed to dress a wound.
***Meditate works on self only.
Staff Note: If you notice any spells, abilities, or items that are not covered in the above list that would pertain to this system, please let us know so we can make this guide as complete as possible! Thank you for your cooperation!
