Gender: Female
Age: 20
Race: Human
Nationality: Capitol Landing
History: Sol City: the name brings to mind images of resplendent towers and those that reside therein: nobles, merchants, and even the royal family themselves, all enjoying the luxuries of ease and safety. But these gleaming estates cast a shadow; and when they are so grand, it should be no surprise that the shadow they cast -- the one that falls upon the slums where the misfortunate are born or cast into -- is especially deep.
In the masonry jungle that is Sol City's slums, natural selection is alive and well. Coleus -- as she's always known herself -- is one of those exceptional individuals that's clawed her way to a commendable position in the criminal food-chain. Known on the streets as Red Menet (named after a regional folklore monster that has no eyes), she is infamous not just for her cold demeanour or her daunting weapon of choice, but for the fact that the bodies of those unfortunate enough to be on her list don't always stay dead. In fact, it's a well-known fact that the only colleagues she'll tolerate are the dead.
Appearance: As if to mirror the attractive elegance of noble finery, Coleus' fashion seems devised to inspire as much antipathy as possible. Simple, uncompromising black threads are contrasted by bold and vibrant colours, like the patterns on a venomous arachnid that tell others to stay far away. She is also rarely seen without her signature weapon: a great scythe whose arcing blade hums at a nearly imperceptible tone. But the most unusual part of her outfit is that it always includes something to obstruct her eyes (though she obviously isn't blind), removing a certain aspect of humanity from her appearance.
Personality: Coleus is not particularly talkative, and not just because of her proclivity for violence (and her use of it as a solution to most problems). When actually speaking with her, one might be surprised that she is very quiet and, in fact, somewhat awkward. This antisocial behaviour may come from those she keeps as cohorts, as zombies and wights aren't known for their social skills. Similarly, her daily interactions with the dead and their viscera, combined with a life of near-constant violence, has made Coleus completely jaded toward gore and death, and she often forgets that others are not so at ease around such things.
