Aelus Ka'vrook
Gender: Male
Age: 32
Race: Draegloth, the aberrant offspring born of a nefarious union between a Glabrezu Demon and a Dark Elf, are an exceedingly rare monstrosity deliberately brought into existence for sinister purposes. The creation of these creatures, once pursued with intent, fell into disrepute in the aftermath of the Elven Wars. The methodology behind their formation is now regarded as a dark blemish on the historical tapestry of their kind. While not explicitly forbidden, the act of bringing forth Draegloth has evolved into a cultural taboo.
As a species, Draegloth exhibits sexual dimorphism. The males, monstrous in appearance, share mere semblances with Dark Elves in terms of skin tone and hair, while the females present themselves as Dark Elves augmented with four arms and lupine features.
The male Draegloth, colossal in stature, reaches a towering height of seven to eight feet, boasting a quartet of arms—two upper and two lower. The upper limbs, nearly as elongated as their formidable frames, culminate in massive clawed hands, while the lower set maintains a more conventional size, ending in human-like appendages. Their elongated, lupine heads are characterized by large, overlapping protruding teeth, with the only trace of their Elven heritage found in the elegant curvature of their ears. A luxuriant mane of hair cascades from their heads, veiling a substantial portion of their upper back and the underside of their upper arms.
These Draegloth stand digitigrade, supported by large, bestial, clawed feet—an embodiment of dread that seamlessly melds the characteristics of both Demon and Dark Elf.

Nationality: The Pale City, Frostgale
Appearance: Aelus Ka'vrook stands at a commanding height of seven and a half feet, his imposing figure adorned in a striking combination of blackish-purple skin and luxuriant white fur that radiates a healthy, bright sheen. His eyes, an unsettling solid pale blue devoid of a discernible pupil, lend his gaze an otherworldly and disquieting aura. In contrast to the typical hulking build of Draegloths, Aelus possesses a lithe form, suggesting a swiftness uncommon among his kin. His upper arms exhibit considerable power, terminating in massive clawed hands that evoke a warrior's prowess. Surprisingly, his lower arms defy the expectations of brutish might, appearing slender and scholarly rather than attuned to combat.
Aelus wears no conventional attire, relying solely on his natural fur for modesty. However, this is not a matter of choice; rather, it stems from the inherent peculiarity of his existence. His digitigrade legs, towering stature, and the intricate narrative of his past render the donning of civilized clothing impractical. This unique aspect enhances the bestial quality of his visage, presenting an appearance that can easily be misconstrued as that of an unintelligent creature—a fearsome beast wandering the shadows rather than a being with intellect and purpose.
Personality: Intelligent, inquisitive and a downright scholarly disposition, Aelus might initially come across as a mere beast, but his essence unfolds into a much more intricate tapestry. Possessing a voracious appetite for knowledge, Aelus is extensively well-read, particularly captivated by technical tomes delving into the complexities of the arcane and the historical narratives of the Dark Elven people. His focus, in particular, hones in on the debated origins of his kin, showcasing a keen interest in the nuanced aspects of their history.
Nevertheless, Aelus remains unable to completely disentangle himself from his lineage, as the demonic Glabrezu blood coursing through his veins leaves an indelible mark on his character. Empathy eludes him, and he registers little emotional response to the troubles of others, showing a complete unfamiliarity with the concept of mercy. Typical of demonkin, ambition courses through him, and akin to both his Glabrezu father and Dark Elf mother, he tends toward intricate schemes and shadowy machinations. While he falls far from being a beacon of truth and justice, Aelus doesn't embody pure malevolence. His limited time in the outside world has left him more curious and, perhaps, even naive, sporting a personality more akin to sheltered, indulged teenagers than the stereotypical image of a dread-inducing half-demon.
History: Forged from a sinister ambition, Aelus emerged as the product of an unfulfilled machination—an unholy convergence of Elf and Demon unseen since the conclusion of the Elven Wars. Born into a purpose that crumbled before his very existence, Aelus could have been forsaken due to his monstrous lineage or the societal taboo surrounding his creation. Surprisingly, his mother embraced him, lavishing him with both affection and wisdom. Aelus developed a passion for reading and learning, with his mother often regaling him with tales during his childhood. With transparency rare for a parent of a half-fiend, his mother cautioned him never to reveal his true nature to others. Eager to gratify her wishes, Aelus confined himself within the confines of his family estate, concealing his identity whenever outsiders visited.
As Aelus matured and his stature grew, he undertook rigorous combat training, a deliberate choice by his mother who understood the societal unacceptance of his existence. Her aim was clear: to mold him into a force too formidable for all but the most prepared challengers. Aelus not only excelled in the physical aspects of combat, thanks to his innate gifts and inquisitive nature, but much to his mother's surprise, his true prowess lay in the arcane arts. Spellbound by the allure of magic, his proficiency in the Dark Domain flourished. Rather than a conventional spellcaster, his mother guided him to harness his arcane abilities in a way that complemented his monstrous physical prowess, creating a unique and potent synergy.
In his late adolescence, Aelus faced the harsh reality of how others would react upon discovering his existence. A chance encounter unfolded when a visitor spotted him wandering the upper floor of his family estate. The man's initial shock twisted into revulsion, and accusations spilled forth. Aelus's mother swiftly intervened, but when the Dark Elf assailant drew a blade on her, Aelus succumbed to a surge of rage that eclipsed his reason. In a gruesome affirmation of his origin, he tore the man to shreds.
If this sudden eruption of violence unsettled his mother, she concealed it well. However, possibly fearing the consequences if Aelus were exposed again, she too adopted a reclusive lifestyle. She sealed off the estate, retreating from society entirely. The forced isolation took a toll on Aelus, who keenly felt the pain of knowing his mother led a life she never wished for, all to shield him from a world that would reject him.
Witnessing the potential for embitterment in her son, Aelus's mother underwent a significant shift in her approach to his education. Transitioning from arcane and martial teachings, she immersed him in historical lore, endeavoring to instill a love for the world and its intricate past. Showering him with affection, she spun tales of heroism and the innate goodness within people to quell the burgeoning anger within him. As Aelus matured into his mid-twenties, his curiosity deepened—not about the forbidden external world, which he had resigned himself to avoiding, but about the purpose behind his own creation.
Initially hesitant to inquire, Aelus mustered the courage to confront the dreadful truth. He discovered that he was designed to be a harbinger of chaos, a creature forged as an assassin to fulfill his mother's varied ambitions. However, her plans were thwarted as her enemies capitulated before Aelus's birth, and her ambitions waned thereafter, perhaps stemming from a realization of the unspeakable deeds she was willing to commit. Aelus persisted in a life of isolation for years until a sudden change gripped his mother. She became erratic, forewarning of an unseen danger, and, in a moment of farewell, ventured out to confront this mysterious threat. She never returned.
As years passed, the estate fell into neglect, and rumors spread of its abandonment within the heart of the Pale City. Aelus, determined to protect his home, encountered intruders who unknowingly discussed the mansion's history. The revelation of its owner, C'nros Ka'vrook, being executed for treason against the crown shattered Aelus. Distraught, terrified, and now truly alone, he managed to slip away unnoticed, fleeing the Pale City into the vast wilderness of the Frostgale. Yet, before his departure, whispers of a monstrous entity haunting the Pale City began to circulate.
Alone and confused, Aelus now begins his journey - for better or worse.
