Appearance

Everett appears to be a half-human half-sylvan elf male of 6' 1". He's clearly of adult age, but specifically how old he would not be able to tell you. His skin is a light brown and he has sapphire blue eyes and short brown hair. His shoulders are broad, having a physique well suited to hard labor on the unsteady decks of sailing ships. 

His most notable feature is that he is missing his right arm midway up the bicep. According to him, it has been gone for a long time. Sometimes, he does have phantom limb moments.

Personality

Everett is a social butterfly, enjoying the company of others over being alone if given the choice. He's approachable, friendly, and eager to aid in any way he can, even if it is personally detrimental to himself. He cares about people in general, but those who try to take advantage of his good nature will find he is not so easily fooled.

He values being earnest and hard-working, though he's not opposed to a bit of harmless mischief from time to time. He understands the importance of giving oneself grace when it comes to honest mistakes, which is something he extends to others so long as trust is still maintained. 

He carries a simple wooden compass that has its front glass cracked and often checks it out of habit despite it no longer working. It's in these moments that he can become very quiet, distant, and melancholy.

Everett holds himself to a particular standard and personal code, living by a few tenets, a very old and outdated practice in Charon. These tenets emphasize adaptability, freedom, and respect for nature. 

Tenets
The Strong have a Duty to Serve. Those who are capable of making a difference in the world have a duty to serve the people of Charon.

They can carve around and reveal the secrets of the past or swallow the truth and hide it forever. One's Loyalties and Purpose define the Man. A life lived in solitude or without direction is meaningless. Those who backstab one another or pursue a life of crime contribute nothing of value to society as a whole.

History

Everett's history is a mystery, even to himself. He washed up unconscious on Charon's shores only to be found by happenstance.

Elleon Vetherot
Male Moon Elf (He/Him)

Elleon is the quartermaster of the Lightning's Edge, Everett's ship. He is a relatively tall and thick bodied moon elf with black tattoos all across his upper body. Elleon met Everett while they were both working as deckhands aboard a different vessel and they struck up a fast friendship. The skilled seafarer jumped at the chance to join Everett's crew once the man became a captain of his own ship. 

Elleon grew up in Moonglade living a pretty simple life. Son to merchant ship captain and a seamstress, he's always been surrounded by tradesfolk and laborers. He has no lofty goals of his own and is content just living a simple and honest life. While he doesn't expect to be a sailor forever, he does think that when he retires he'll still live by the sea and maybe take up being a tattoo artist or drift wood carver.

Ophelia Oluwandai
Female Triton (She/Her)

Ophelia is a rather energetic student of the Sea Domain of the Arcane Academy. She originally was in an apprenticeship with another, one Wizard of the Wastes she met at a winter conference at the academy. Shortly after she asked to be his apprentice - because she is not stupid, or a child - she easily realized that Morrigan was a fraud.

She has since left Morrigan's tutelage and has sought a new apprenticeship under Everett when he was introduced to her shortly after his induction into the Knights of Duros. Her hope is that this mentor will prove to be far more upstanding member of civilized society than the last.
