Blue nodded and gave a thumbs up before shifting back into the form of a giant, armored bird. The Dacoling and Halfling were a bit startled by the sudden changing, but when it was finished, the Dracoling actually looked overjoyed.
"I've never flown before!" He said excitedly as he immediately climbed up onto Blue's back. The Halfling followed suit, though he looked a lot less excited as he climbed aboard. "Me neither..." He said with a tinge of fear.
With them both securely on their back and their slightly sticky feathers helping to make sure they stayed that way, Blue quickly plucked the luggage off the ground in their beak and swallowed it to spit back out later once they'd arrived. They spread their wings and took off back toward the base camp they'd flown there from. Both of their passengers combined weighed less than one Leandros had, so the ride was easy on Blue at least.
It didn't take long for them to arrive at the camp. Blue landed and the Halfling clamored off their back as fast as he could, thankful to be back on solid ground again. The Dracoling followed them down, but looked like he wished the ride could have lasted longer. He'd really enjoyed flying. Maybe he should have been an air mage instead of a fire mage, but he'd just had such a natural affinity for the fire element that it would have been such a waste to practice anything else.
Blue hawked up their luggage and then transformed back into the armored knight just as a few other members of the Expedition Force came over.
"Got some fire mages! And Leandros is on his way back with some more mages too, but he had to take a caravan."

For the knight on the ground, securing passage back to the camp on one of the supply wagons wasn't too difficult. He helped the mages into the back before joining the driver back up front. They were certainly slower than Blue, but arrived only a few minutes after his retinue of mages.
Along the way Leandros did give them a much deeper explanation of the expectations of the mages in the camp. He made sure to emphasize how protected they would be by knights like himself and Blue as well as the mass of other fighters in the area. All they would need to do would be provide their expertise in fire magic and whatever other arcane secrets they knew.
As the wagon pulls to a stop in the camp, Leandros thanks the driver before climbing down and nodding to the mages. Slowly they climbed down and nervously looked around at the camp. It was a big step up from the disheveled tower they had come from.
"Impressive speed Blue, it's hard to realize just how fast it is as a passenger." He smiled as he rejoined the other knight. It had been a long day for all of them, but he was glad at the progess made today. This should help shore up the camp in a big way.
