History:
Maren was born and spent most of their childhood in the Zeinav desert with their father and step mother. They never knew their real mother like most changelings and were merely given to their father and step mother after being born. Due to being a changeling and hag child they have always had one red eye symbolizing their heritage and relation to a blood hag.

Maren never really changed their appearance like most changelings however, instead merely swapping between genders to what felt right on a certain day or time. One constant with them however was their love for music. They admired the musicians so much that their parents eventually got them a lute and a teacher.

Over the years they began to play and perform more drawing decent crowds. Upon hearing more of the world beyond the desert they soon bid their parents farewell and began their travels, singing and writing songs at all the places they ventured to. Of course they also remembered to send word home when they could.

Some they came across found them an ill omen or worrisome for their red eye as some may take it as a sign of ill omen. But with a song and smile they can usually set people at ease.
