The sky was cloudy and the air was cool. The waves were calm, with just a light wind. It had been sunny that morning before the clouds had rolled in. It had rained just the day before, but now the clouds had no hint of more rain to come. It was absolutely perfect fishing weather.
Yasei hummed happily to himself as he carried his fishing pole and a bucket down the beach, his wooden sandals in his other hand. The giant ball of fluff behind him swayed from side to side. He was excited to fish, but first he had to find a good spot, and he had one in mind. Hopefully it was still there. It had always been his favorite fishing spot.
His big smile widened as he spotted it, that huge rock that jutted out into the water. It was still there! He let out a victorious laugh and picked up his pace a little as he made his way over to it. It was a slight climb up onto the rock, but it wasn't difficult for the huge Lion-dog to lift himself up after tossing his belongings up there.
He set his belongings down and then plopped himself down at the end, his feet dangling over the edge of the rock over the water, and cast his line out into the sea. Ah, perfect. Now to sit back and relax while he waited for a bite.

The warm summer sun beat gently down on the red-skinned fellblood making her way across the golden sands, shielded by the clouds drifting lazily through the air. Despite the lackadaisical weather, which could not decide if it wished to rain or shine, the elderly woman held a paper parasol in one hand, and a woven bamboo basket in the other. Her gait was slow, her shoulders stooped with age, though there was a bright, mischievous look in her eyes, and a song on her lips.
It was one of those rare days that Kou Miyami had managed to sneak out of her home for a day at the beach, without any of her grandson’s retainers hovering around her like anxious hummingbirds. Goodness, she knew how Tarou worried about her getting out and about without one of his retainers watching over her, but she had gone this long without having a babysitter. Surely, Tarou would not mind her spending a single afternoon out on a picnic…
Oh! It looked like there was someone already visiting her favorite spot. With his bright fur and large stature, he almost appeared to be one of the Yokai. Kou could remember her mother telling her stories of the demonfolk when she was younger, warning her away from ever interacting with the supernatural creatures for fear of her being spirited away. But Kou had never minded the legends.
A smile growing on the elderly woman’s withered face, Kou picked up her pace and made her way over to where the young man appeared to be fishing. Perhaps he wouldn’t mind some company, or a snack? She’d brought along with her some steamed fish and tea in a canister, and in her opinion, meals were always best when shared with others.
In the tongue of the Crescent Islanders, she called out to him. “Excuse me, young man, I hope I’m not interrupting anything, but could I interest you in a spot of tea and some company, if you’re interested?”

This was one of the few times C'Leena was left alone, as Nephele had some things to do and wanted to do them alone. She's not one to pry, so she simply bought herself a fishing rod (an incredibly impulsive financial decision) and decided to relive old memories. Walking to the water was peaceful, and reaching the shore had a new sort of tranquility that she sorely missed.
Over to her left was a large rock, with another large, fur covered.. person? C'Leena doesn't recognize the race, but they seem to be fishing as well. As well as this, an almost comically small Fellblood was making their way over to the fisherman. She smiled faintly, amused by the sheer size difference between the two of them.
She hadn't gone fishing in many, many years. She never was any good, but it was nice to simply fish and sink into her own mind for a while. Purposefully making some distance between herself and the other fisher, she readies her rod, attaches bait and casts the line. It's a decent enough cast, but she's satisfied with it. Once the line is out, she sits herself down on the ground, crosses her legs and simply chills out.
She listens to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, the wind rustling leaves and whistling by her gently. It invokes a sense of serenity in her that can only really be paired with a fishing trip. Suddenly, she feels like she should probably ask if she's cool to fish here. Looking over to the other fisher, she calls out.
"Hey mate? You good with me fishing here? I don't want to bugger you up accidentally." She knew there were some standards when it came to encountering another fisherman, but whatever they were, she didn't know them. Might as well make sure she's good to be here.

Post by Arashi Tento on May 30, 2023 15:22:56 GMT -5
Today Arashi was taking a walk with Cookie, it was the first time since her hatching that she had been this deep in the wilderness, As they walked through the forest he remembered that they were close to the beach, maybe it would be a nice experience to fish a little and have a nice fish dinner at the beach! So Arashi took a turn towards the beach "Here we're going this way" he told the little pixie who was excitedly looking at everything, "Oh! Ok!" She stopped smelling one of the flowers and flew closer to him "Where are we going?" Arashi chuckled, "You'll know soon enough!" After a bit of walking they could already hear the waves on the beach "What is that?" Cookie was still taking in everything the world had to offer and she had never been to the beach even though they were on an island, she had hatched very recently after all, so everything was new and wonderful "We're almost there, you'll see!" Arashi reassured her. "Oh! Ok! It's very exciting to be traveling now!" "I can tell! you're flying all over the place!" He mused, Cookie let out a cute giggle "Well, it is hard to contain!"
The crashing of waves got louder and as Cookie flies a bit higher to properly see, her eyes widen. "It's the beach!! Woah..." She began flying faster, "Come on, come on! We're almost there" Cookie flew back and grabbed Arashi's hand pulling him to make him go faster, Clearly she couldn't even move his hand, but Arashi followed the motions and hurried behind her.
"Woooow!" Cookie was taking in the sights of the sandy shores and crystalline waves, it wasn't the prettiest, sunniest day, but they were close by and Arashi wanted to take her sightseeing as soon as possible so here they were. "So? How do you like this place?" "It's great! Look how far I can see!" She flew as high as she could to try and test her vision. Arashi looked around, there were a few people on the shore farther away, they seemed to be fishing. Still they were far enough away that they looked almost like dots, so they probably wouldn't notice or hear them.
He had thought of making a fish dinner for the both of them, but the truth was, he was not the best fisherman... he didn't have a fishing rod, and honestly he was just mildly proficient at spear fishing. So he summoned his lightning spear, and climbed onto a rock on the shore, "What are you doing?" Cookie asked curiously as she floated next to him "Catching us some dinner! we're eating fresh fish tonight." she smiled and clapped a little a small giggle escaping her. "Yay!!" She sat on his shoulder as Arashi looked for fish. Soon enough Arashi saw something, A few fish were getting closer they were 4 fish of a decent size, good enough to eat but not particularly big. He waited until they were close together, and threw his spear, it became a lightning bolt as soon as it left his hand, hitting the water bnetween the 4 fish they all got shocked and floated to the surface. though something strange happened too... a rumble...
Arashi summoned his spear back to him as the rock he was standing on began to lift, Cookie got up and looked around "What's happening?!" she cried out in surprise, as she flew trying to figure out what just happened "I think we took someone else's food..." A huge rock crab showed itself, it was fully buried, and also the rock Arashi was standing on, With a screech it began to shake and run, it moved at breakneck speed as he did his best to hold on, stabbing down the spear to use as something to hold on to. The Crab would run towards the other people, angry at anything and everything on the beach. since Cookie was flying when the crab took off she was left behind on her own "Daaaaad!!!" She yelled "Don't worry! I'll be fine! hide somewhere!" Arashi replied just before getting out of earshot.

Yasei's ears perked up and he looked to see who was calling out to him. He couldn't see anyone from where he was sitting. And did whoever it was just call him "young man"? He let out a chuckle and stood up, walking toward the edge of the big rick he was on top of and looked down to see a tiny old woman, smiling up at him.
"Young man? I haven't been called that in a long time!" He replied in the Crescent Isle tongue as he laughed heartily and then jumped down, landing heavily on his feet in the sand a couple of feet from the woman. "Sure, it's nice to have a little company while fishing. You want some help getting up onto the rock, Obaachan?"
Then another voice called out from a short distance away. He turned to see another woman walking up the beach toward them with her own fishing pole. Yasei had never heard the phrases before, but he could get the gist of what she meant easily.
"It's fine. It won't bugger us up. You want to climb up on the rock to fish with us, too?" He offered. More company didn't hurt.
Suddenly, a rumbling sound started to shake the beach and Yasei looked past the woman to see a giant rock crab angrily scuttling straight toward them all. He grabbed the staff off of his back and held it at the ready, planting his feet firmly in the sand between the crab and the tiny grandma.
"Mm. That might bugger up the fishing though."

“Oh! Yes, yes, thank you.” She was not too proud to accept help where she needed it, and her bones were not what they used to be. With the yokai’s assistance, Kou managed her way up to the rocks and started setting out cups of tea for the both of them, pausing when she spotted the young woman nearby calling out to them.
Her accent was difficult for Kou to understand, but Kou got the general gist of it. Her common was still a rusty thing - supplemented with the help of a translator’s book she’d picked up back in the city. She needed to learn if she was going to see the world, didn’t she? In halting, heavily accented common, Kou replied, “Yes, please join if you’d like! I’ll set out more tea!”
She’d brought more than enough cups to spare… you never knew when you would need more in the event of company! Humming a little tune to herself, the fellblood went about pouring drinks from the thermos of tea, brewed fresh this morning. The smell of her own special blend wafted through the air, mingling with the scent of salt from the sea. The three enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying the water and the silence, when all of a sudden, the yokai fellow picked himself up and stared at something behind her.
A crab?
The fluffy, colorful fellow put himself between her and the rock crab scuttling through the sand towards them. What in the world had disturbed it? Most crabs around here kept to themselves unless they were provoked. Kou squinted over her spectacles, trying to get a better look at the crab, when she spotted something odd on top of the creature.
“Is that a person?”
A person that needed help!
Kou, budding adventurer, wouldn’t let this fine gentleman do all the saving! The elderly woman picked up her own cane, a wooden staff adorned in cherry blossoms that had come as a gift from her beloved grandson. Rest assured, she’d do her best to rescue that poor young man!
“Looks like hotpot’s on the menu tonight, kiddos!”

To be completely honest, C'Leena wasn't expecting an invitation to join them. However, she's not about to decline that offer. Hell, she'd actually really like some tea. Shrugging, she begins her trek toward the rock right up until a curious sound came from behind her. Turning around, she saw something she should be surprised to see. However, the last six months of being in Charon have numbed her to crap like this.
C'Leena flicks her wrist, to where what looks to be a hole in reality zips open1. Inside seems to be thousands upon thousands of stars, with nebulas of beautiful greens, blues and reds throughout the area. C'Leena calmly puts her fishing rod inside the rip, reaches further in and brings out a scabbard with a rapier sheathed. She opts to simply hold the scabbard as the rip closes itself and she draws the blade.
She glances back at the massive fur-covered bloke wielding a staff and the tiny Fellblood who looks to almost be roaring for a fight. I don't know whether to let her have at it or be concerned for her safety She passively thinks to herself. C'Leena has a faint smile on her face as she suddenly vanishes from where she's stood2. Without preamble or flair, she walks next to the fluffy fella himself and watches the crab continue to run at full speed at the group. "Looks like this day is starting off strong, aye?" She says, almost sounding amused at the turn of events.
"Anyway, g'day, bloke. I'm Dr. C'Leena Thomas." She introduces, then looks down at the Fellblood. "G'day, Ma'am. What might your names be? I reckon we got about.. 45 or so seconds till that big-fuckoff crab gets 'ere so might as well make the most of it."
Looking at C'Leena now that she's closer, she looks to be wearing clothing that is completely unfamiliar. She's in her tank top and jeans, as well as her work boots. Her eyes are reminiscent of aquamarine gems in the sense that they are entirely aquamarine. There are no Pupils or Irises to speak of. Surrounding her eyes and around her shoulders are what look to be old burn scars that look real nasty. Whatever happened had to be incredibly bad for it to scar like it did.
Strangely enough, the scars around her shoulders simply stop after reaching just past her shoulder onto her arm. The change is jarring enough that the scar tissue and healthy flesh make a distinct line where they meet.

As he managed to stand on the crab while grabbing onto his spear, Arashi tried to impale his spear a bit deeper, still the rock was too thick and he failed to even harm the creature. It didn't have many weakpoints and most of it was covered by a huge layer of stone. The house sized crab was still rushing at the others and seemed to show no signs of stopping, Arashi looked as they prepared to fight. Well, they won't be defenseless at least... Arashi prepared too, he'd be damned before just being a damsel in distress, after all he didn't like being useless...
As the crab approached just before it reached the 10 seconds away from the group distance, Arashi pulled on the spear as he leaned back, he didn't have enough strength or weight to slow the crab, but that wasn't his plan, He used the spear to pole vault launching himself above and in front of the crab. Summoning his spear back to him he threw it in front of the crab, hoping to either hit it in the mouth or stop it's relentless charge. As the spear turned to lightning it shot downwards, falling in front of the crab, sand was sent flying as the lightning hit the beach. Arashi landed in font of the group rolling to mitigate the impact.
"Are you guys ready? I'm pretty sure it's not over yet!" As the sand courtain fell the crab was revealed again, It had stopped in it's tracks as it saw the same spear that took its food be launched at it. It had narrowly dodged the spear, but it was unharmed. With a screech the crab would let everyone know... the fight had just begun.

Yasei tilted his head, squinting his eyes to get a better look at what Kou had pointed out. It did look like a person. Yasei hadn't even noticed, too focused on the giant crab itself. They looked oddly familiar, but Yasei's thoughts were immediately hooked on something else Kou said.
"Ooh! A crab hot pot sounds great right now!" He proclaimed, a little bit of drool escaping the corner of his mouth. With the crab making so much noise, he doubted they'd be able to catch any fish anymore. A shame since it was such a nice day for fishing, but all the crab meat should be more than enough to make up for any fish they might have caught. Tender, juicy crab meat... Yasei's tail swayed from side to side behind him just thinking about it.
"Let's end this fast so we can get to cooking!" He growled with a slight chuckle, his smile widening and his eyes looking more fierce. His grip on his staff tightened and the length of the sakura tree patterned wood started to glow with a swirl of black and white light as he channeled some energy through it. His pink mane and tail also started to glow with a white light as he channeled energy through his entire body.
He only gave Arashi a glance as he landed among the group. He knew the guy on the crab was familiar!
When the sand fell away and the giant rock crab let out a fearsome screech, Yasei leapt off of the rock and swung his staff down in a heavy overhead swing. He repositioned his hands on the staff to give him as much reach as possible and the white and black swirl of energy extended forward even further.
The energy crashed down on the back of the crab with what sounded like a small explosion, another wall of sand being blown up into the air. When it settled again, the crab was lying limp on the sand, its shell smashed with a huge crater in the center of its back.
Yasei just put the staff on his back, the fight already over and the large Lion-Dog standing victorious. The glowing fur faded back to normal and the energy surrounding his staff dissipated.
"Yeehee! Crab pot, crab pot..." Yasei started to hum to himself cheerily as he practically skipped over to the slain crab, ready to get cooking. He suddenly stopped, coughing and spitting. "Egh, sand." He muttered as he spat, trying to get the sand that had gone into his mouth from the explosion he'd caused. When he was finished, he resumed his cheerful humming and skipping over to the crab.

Post by Kou Miyami on Jun 14, 2023 18:34:46 GMT -5
It was almost comical watching an elderly woman with as much stature - or lack thereof - as Kou Miyami stare down a rampaging crab with no fear, but Kou’s age generally prevented her from feeling as such, even in the face of something so frightening. She was bound and determined to wrangle this crab and serve up some tasty crustacean! As she stood there, with the furry yokai fellow in front of her, the young lady suddenly appeared out of thin air. Kou blinked, looking back to where she’d been standing. In the blink of an eye she’d moved from one place to another!
“Oh, is this one of these newfangled spells I’ve been hearing all about?” Kou asked the young woman, completely forgetting about the rampaging crab despite the screams from the occupant on its back. Her eyes only widened in surprise when C’leena introduced herself. “My, a doctor, at your age! How accomplished you are…” With both brains and magic, it seemed. Her grandson Tarou would do good to find a woman like her! “I am Kou Miyami. No fancy titles like doctor!”
She chuckled.
“I’m sorry. My common is… not so good. I am learning, you see.”
And then all of a sudden, with surprising speed and a burst of light, the yokai raised his staff and SMASHED the fearsome crab with an explosion of sand and power! Kou’s spectacles blocked the sand from getting into her eyes. When the yokai landed, he started making his way to the dead behemoth. Kou brought her hands together to clap before hobbling along the sand awkwardly with her cane over to where the yokai and the poor man who’d come along with the crab were.
“Oh, my, are you all okay? What a harrowing adventure!” She leaned over to brush some sand off of the robes of the young swordsman who’d arrived with the crab, pulling out a box of steamed dumplings, which she offered to anyone who needed them. “Let Mama Kou take care of you. I was a chef before I retired, you know! Give me some time and I can whip up a hot pot that can make that energy come right back!”

Post by C'Leena Thomas on Jun 14, 2023 19:00:28 GMT -5
When C'Leena appeared, she wasn't expecting flattery almost immediately after introducing herself. She stood, looking at Kou with a stunned confusion before snapping out of it a few seconds later. "I was 20 when I graduated.. Thats average, right? Uhm, Good to meet you, Kou." C'Leena frowned, another portion of what Kou said catching her off kilter. "Wait, you're unfamiliar with magic?" She asks in a rising pitch. She wasn't expecting to find anybody who wasn't at least slightly familiar, but it seems almost that Kou is new to it just like C'Leena. Curious.
"Oh, don't you worry about it. You're doing incredible with learning eng- Common. Bloody complicated language, it is. I'm learning a language myself. Not sure what you'd call it but," C'Leena somewhat smoothly switches into Russian - or Infernal as she's heard it called. She's not 100% on it, though. "I'm only conversational. Haven't really heard anybody speaking it before outside of that one mishap." C'Leena rubs the back of her neck and is moments away from speaking again before the fluffy fella himself leaps into the air and.. The word 'Kills' doesn't do it justice. 'Completely and Utterly Decimates' might be enough, though.
As the sand pelts down on them, C'Leena blocks her eyes and quietly resigns herself to shaking and washing out sand from her hair for days. It's not at all long but it'll still be a nightmare to deal with. Watching Kou hurry down to where everybody else was stood was strangely adorable. C'Leena was still concerned about her falling over but that seemed to not need to be a worry. C'Leena sheathed her blade and hucked it into her Space Pocket and made her way down, intent on checking on the fella who was riding the crab like a lunatic.
"G'day, mate. You doing okay?" She asked the man, arms akimbo. "You're a bit of a loony, aren'tcha? Riding around on bigass crabs and hurling around whatever the hell that was. Are you hurt? Actually, no. Sit down, I'll look you over." C'Leena suddenly realises she needs to actually introduce herself again, otherwise none of what she just said makes any sense. "Ah, I'm Dr. C'Leena Thomas. Now sit." C'Leena gestures to a rock that would indeed make for a decent enough seat. Her voice brooks no argument in the matter. Truthfully, she can't make him do anything he doesn't want to, but he doesn't need to know that.

Arashi stood up and readied up, at that point the all too familiar Yokai stepped closer, as Yasei began glowing Arashi was prepared to follow up, but as the huge lion-dog jumped into the action and the second sand explosions ensued, Arashi realized his help might not be needed... as the sand settled down again, the crab was... yeah it was dead... "well that was easier than I thought..."
Then the small and frail looking grandma arrived next to him, wondering whether they were alright and offering something to eat as well as trying to brush off some of Arashi's sand. "D-don't worry! I'm fine, but if you felt that was dangerous I'm sure you wouldn't want to know what my first adventure was!" Arashi chuckled a little after saying that. "Nice to meet you! I'm Arashi." then the last person of the group he crash-landed into came to see him, She called him a 'loony' and presented herself as a doctor while ordering him to sit, "I'm ok I'm ok! really! I'm not hurt, also I'm sorry for arriving like that... I- don't normally do that... I didn't do it on purpose either.... I just, apparently woke it up while I was on top of it... I thought it was just a rock" A nervous chuckle escapes him at that point, he felt dumb after all he had endangered them and now they were asking whether he was alright... That's more kindness than he's used to, or that he deserves considering they could've gotten hurt and it would've been his fault.
He looked at Yasei, "Hey Yasei, I didn't know you were that strong! I'm glad everyone is ok!" Then he looked back at C'Leena "Don't worry! I'm not hurt!" Then Arashi's eyes widened as he remembered something very important. Somewhere in the forest that led to the beach, behind where the crab woke, Cookie was hiding inside a bush sobbing softly as she feared something happened to Arashi sniffles "P-please come back dad..." Arashi rushed towards where this whole mess started. "Cookieeeeeeeee!!" he yelled as he run off as fast as he could leaving the others behind probably wondering what the hell was wrong with him.

Yasei was too preoccupied with trying to rip one of the giant crab's claws off with his bare hands to pay much attention to the various conversations going on around him, but he did pick up some here and there. He'd never met such a young doctor before, nor did he know what graduation meant. He didn't seem to know half of whatever the yound woman was talking about, really.
He smiled proudly when Arashi complimented him on his strength. "Ha! A lot of people say that for some reason. Can't figure out why. But, it's not like I'd have shown you how strong I am while we were just catching some lost sheep!" Yasei laughed and then stumbled backward as, with a crack and a ripping noise, the crab's arm detached at the joint. He managed not to fall on his behind and stood victorious with the crab claw held above him.
And then Arashi ran off yelling something about a cookie.
"Hah? Cookies? But look at all this crab meat we're gonna cook!" Yasei shouted after him as he ran off down the beach. With a shrug and a sigh, he smiled again and looked back to the others excitedly.
"Oy, Sensei. Help me take this thing apart so we can get cooking! You take the other side." He said to C'Leena, dropping the claw on the sand and going to start ripping off the legs that were on the same side of the crab. Like Kou, he spoke in Common Though a lot less broken and his accent wasn't as thick.

The language that the young doctor, Miss C’leena Thomas, spoke next was harsh and unfamiliar to the woman who’d never left the Crescent Isles in her life. But somehow she understood perfectly what C’leena was saying. Kou wasn’t knowledgeable enough in the ways of the world to know that it was likely a byproduct of her infernal bloodline that allowed her to understand the demon’s tongue. But as it were, she wasn’t going to look a gift horse in the mouth. There were all kinds of yokai and spirits that resided in these islands, myth brought to life. Understanding a language was just one of those funny quirks of life!
“Oh, but you speak it so well!” She clapped her hands together.
Languages were a beautiful thing, Kou thought. They bridged the gap and turned strangers into friends. It was always a treat to find someone you understood, and understood you in turn.
“Oh, oh! Perhaps we could practice together, if you need the help!” She could always improve her skills with common as well, especially if she was going to see the world soon!
After the chaos died down, the doctor joined them at the other side of the beach near the crab monster’s body. The swordsman brushed off her concern, insisting that this beast was hardly dangerous. She patted him on the shoulder, shaking her head. “The danger of one threat does dilute the other, young man!” She chided, waving her cane in the air. “But I’m glad that you’re unharmed. Would you like to stay for the meal?”
But then Arashi dashed away, leaving the three for the time being. Kou merely clapped her hands together, excited. “Oh, good, he’s off to get cookies! Well that’s desert taken care of! Now for this crab…”
The yokai, whom Arashi had called Yasei, got to work cracking off the limbs of the crab. Kou would offer to help, but she was hardly as strong as she used to be! The lack of hands to help her with heavy lifting were why she’d had to close her restaurant and retire, but she still adored the art of cooking.
This, too, brought people together.
And there was nothing Kou loved more than people coming together to enjoy a meal.
“Let me get started on a fire!” She exclaimed, searching through her bag for some sticks and kindling. She had with her a small pot that she could use to boil some of the meat… there was going to be a lot of crab meat when this was said and done, though.
Kou certainly had her work cut out for her!

The old fellbloods enthusiasm took her slightly off guard, but in a slight way it was contagious. C'Leena smiled as Kou offered up that they could learn off eachother sometime. "You know what? Might take you up on that sometime." She responds as both of their attentions are diverted to the goings on a dozen feet away from them.
Now, the man who has identified himself as Arashi claims to be uninjured, and the tale of mistaking a bigass crab for a rock reminds her of some of the various animals from Australia. Sure, nothing like a giant crab, but it's a rookie mistake nonetheless. C'Leena clicks her tongue a few times, disapprovingly. "Mate, you need to be more careful about this sort of crap, yeah? Could've stacked it and gotten yourself hurt. Let me tell you: losing a limb isn't fun - do try to avoid it." She warns ominously.
She was about to say something more but then he ran back down the beach yelling about a cookie. A feeling of 'not an actual cookie' runs through her mind, and she puts her bets that the man named an animal or something 'cookie', and in actuality isn't distressed about forgetting a baked good. C'Leena watches after him, a mix of confusion and amusement as the man runs, kicking up sand in his stead.
Now, initially C'Leena doesn't react to Yasei addressing her. Mainly because she's never been called 'sensei'. After a moment, the realization dawns on her that Kou couldn't help with the crab, and her attention finally goes to Yasei, who she spotted looking at her directly. What?
"Me?" She says, mainly meaning the title she was given. What is means is beyond her, knowing it's Japanese or something, but the actual definition eludes her. "Yeah alright. Uh, no need to call me that - I don't even know what it means. C'Leena is fine, or even Doc if you're more comfortable with that."
C'Leena goes onto the opposite side of the crab and begins helping with removing the massive limbs off the thing. It takes a lot of effort, but a combination of her own physique and her prosthetics makes the removal process easier - not by a lot, mind you, but easier nonetheless. There is a minor mishap when she initially gripped the thing, where the gripped too hard and cracked the carapace, indeed resulting in a loud Crack.
She was working happily when Kou mentioned making a fire, and C'Leena felt a chill run up her spine. Her head snapped toward the elderly fellblood, and despite her featureless eyes, there was no mistaking the hint of fear. It passed quickly as C'Leena looked back toward her work, but now she's actively dreading the upcoming 30 or so minutes.
