Cronan was extremely lost. He took a handful of wrong turns somewhere, but his complete unfamiliarity with the city wasn't helping whatsoever. So, he continues wandering, hoping to find somewhere interesting.
Being lost does insinuate that he knew where he was going. Truthfully, he doesn't even know the name of the city he's in. It seems important with how flashy and ornate everything looks. Maybe the capital or capital adjacent? Right now he's working off assumptions that aren't based on much. Passing conversations were difficult to eavesdrop on when you arrested the attention of everyone in your immediate vicinity, what with being a 6 and a half foot tall suit of fullplate armor decorated to rival the city itself.
The day was a clear, beautiful one. A blue, cloudless sky with the sun shining down. The temperature was comfortable, and the winds had a chill in the air that didn't clash with the warmth of the sun, instead meshing into a comfortable combination that people dream of.
Cronan doesn't remember anything before his awakening. He took a name from somebody shouting 'Cronan', liked the sound of it and decided to take it on. He hopes it doesn't actually mean anything, and it was simply another persons name, too.
Walking around the streets is a 6 1/2 foot tall suit of armor in the shape of a humanoid. Nothing under the armor is visible outside of padding and chainmail. The steel is an Onyx black, gilded and inlaid with golden designs across the entirety of his shell. The back of his helmet is something akin to a Panache; a vibrant red and not unlike long hair tied into a high ponytail. His footsteps are heavy, but he moves with a grace that suggests the weight means little to nothing to him. On his left hip is a longsword sheathed, a peace knot tied around the hilt.
The crowds around him part for him to move though - which both interests him and confuses him. Do they think he's someone important? It would make sense, he supposes. Big armored guy is marching through the streets in probably the most fancy armor most people have ever seen, it would scream 'Important Guy Doing Important Stuff'. His body language, however, didn't exude that. He was confused, lost and often getting distracted with minor things like birds and the occasional tree.
His sight wasn't limited to the visor of his helmet. Since his helmet was his face, he had the same field of vision as anybody standard person would. He was happy about that.
Cronan continues wandering the streets, trying to learn the layout of the city. It's going as well as anybody would expect.

Blue walked down the streets of Sol City, both hands filled with grilled skewers of meat, casually inserting one up into the bottom of their helmet every now and then as they walked and removing the stick completely clean. Once one handful of sticks was finished, they put their hand behind their back, hidden beneath their cloak, and ate the sticks as well. They'd learned that trick recently, after getting some curious glances while eating the skewers stick-and-all.
As they started munching on the other handful, they suddenly spotted a very noticeable figure in the crowd. A very tall, ornate black and gold suit of armor that was parting the crowd as they walked down the street. All Blue could think of was one thing. That suit of armor looked awesome! Astrid would probably freak out if she ever saw it, just like she had when she'd first seen Blue in their fancy suit of armor. Maybe they could ask them who made it for her.
Blue walked over to the fancy-armored individual cheerily and waved their empty hand friendlily. Blue wore a unique looking suit of armor, a bluish grey suit made of many small plates that connected together. Their bucket helmet had a small horn on either side of their head and their gauntlets had a thicker plate one the back that looked like grey stone instead of metal. A cloak of short black fur on their back and faulds made of the same material around their waist both shifted in the wind.
"That's some really awesome armor! Are you a knight?" Blue asked, looking up at the eye slit of the man that was a whole half a foot taller than them. The socially unaware ooze had absolutely no caution in their approach, not thinking they might be some noble or someone of importance as everyone else seemed to by the way they parted.

Cronan wasn't sure how to proceed with this situation. He was relying heavily on people simply not interacting with him and another armored individual approached him, asking if he was a knight.
"A Knight? No, I cannot say that I am." He pauses, cocking his head to the side. Cronan hasn't tilted his head down in order to look at the horned man in front of him. There wouldn't be a way to actually see who he was talking to in normal circumstances.
Now, Cronan is in a bit of a pickle. Does he claim to be a person, or should he be honest about being a suit of animated armor? How do people react to being told that you're speaking to sentient armor? Would they panic or be intrigued? Wait. Is this person also animated armor?
Cronan leans down and very closely inspects the person in front of them. Looking through their visor, he sees a pair of eyes that completely shatter his hopes. Damn. What the newcomer would see through Cronans visor is.. Nothing. Inside the helmet is darkness starting at the visors opening, not allowing even a hint of light inside. He stands back up to his full height and puts a hand out for a handshake.
"I am Cronan. What would your name be?" He asks. His voice doesn't echo from inside the armor, but instead simply originates from it, as if it were someone speaking outside of a helmet. His voice has a refined edge to it. A deep voice with a basso thrum that would fit perfectly on a noble.
Cronan decides that maybe if he doesn't state that he's either human or armor, maybe people will draw their own conclusions? If people ask, then that's an entirely different situation. That is a bridge he'll cross when he gets to it.

"Oh, well that's okay, I'm not a knight either, yet." Blue replied before eating another skewer. They may look like a knight with their armor, but not everyone with a cool suit of armor was actually a full-fledged knight. They'd had to learn that themself. It was a goal of Blue's to actually become one though, and they'd been given a bit of information on how to join one of the knight orders out there. Maybe this guy also had that goal, but it they couldn't just assume that.
Blue didn't even notice that he didn't actually look down to look at them. They weren't particularly observant, especially with the distraction of a handful of skewers to munch on. They did notice the tall knight leaning forward to take a peak into their helmet. They were glad they could make their face look human! If they'd looked in only to see glue goo, that could have been a problem. They switched the skewers from one hand to the other to accept Cronan's handshake.
"You can call me Wolfe." Wait, should they introduce themself as Geoff now? Their name had become Geoffrey Wolfe when they'd had to give a name to that Baron guy in Thadda's office. Nah, Wolfe was fine. They were too used to introducing themself like that now, and they liked being called Wolfe better than Geoff. Or should it be Lord Wolfe? No, just Wolfe still sounded better.
Introducing themself was the polite thing to do, but then Blue thought of another polite thing they should do. They wanted to make a good impression before they asked him where he got his nice armor. Blue picked one of the skewers from their handful and held it out, offering it to Cronan.
"You want a skewer?"

"Good to make your acquaintance Mr. Wolfe." He looks down at the offered skewer, as it was called. Why is he offering it to him? What would Cronan even do with a skewer? "No, I must decline. I appreciate the offer, however."
"You say Yet when speaking of being a Knight. Are you planning to become one soon?" He asks curiously. He was quietly hoping that by asking, he could gain insight to where he is. Perhaps these knights are under a banner of some sort? Not that he would recognize it, but it would be a place to start.
Cronan isn't sure what to make of the man. He was holding quite a number of these skewers. Were they valuable or something? If that was the case, why is he holding them in the open? So many things make little sense to Cronan, like what Solars are. That word keeps getting tossed around, especially around the marketplace. Was it a product? Maybe their currency.
"You wouldn't happen to know where we are, would you? I've managed to get myself lost, it seems. Not that I particularly have anywhere to go, but it is still unpleasant not knowing where one is within a city."
Well, what better way to get your answers than to just outright ask the question. Cronan puts his hands behind his back, still not looking down to make eye contact. Since standing, he hasn't shifted or even moved subtly. He's been still as a statue when not moving with purpose.
Today might prove to be an interesting day for all parties involved.

"Suit yourself." Blue said with a shrug and just ate the skewer they'd been offering themself. More for them. Maybe Cronan just wasn't hungry. Or he wouldn't food from people he didn't know. Blue had heard some people had that kind of habit. Of course, the ooze didn't have any such habit themself. They'd eat practically anything anyone handed to them, even things that weren't actually food.
"Oh, yeah, I'm trying to join the Knights of Tegrid. Are you trying to join a knight order?"
Looking at him, Cronan looked like he really belonged here. If he was a knight, Blue would have assumed he was part of the order from Sol City, the one Sir Upticious had been part of. Thinking that, it was also a bit of a surprise to hear Cronan was lost. Maybe he really wasn't from around here. Unfortunately, Blue wasn't the best person to be asking for directions. They weren't a resident of the city themself and they couldn't even help by reading the street signs since they didn't know how to read. The best they could do was lead him to somewhere they were familiar with and hope that helped him get his bearings.
"I don't really know my way around Sol City that well since I don't live here, but I know the way back to the city square if you want."

Cronan was extremely confused. At this point, he's given up trying to decipher what the skewers were and decided to focus on more prominent things.
"Knights of Tegrid?" He asks, seemingly lost on the term. "Join a knight order? Hm, I will have to consider that." The possibility fascinated Cronan. Sure, he wasn't 100% on what the Knights of Tegrid were, but maybe he'd learn more from Wolfe. The idea of joining them was also enticing, although he wasn't sure why that was.
Another one of his questions were answered. So they were in Sol City. That sounds.. Important, he thinks. "I would not be against being shown the city center. The offer is much appreciated; and I shall take you up on it. After you, Mister Wolfe," He gestures in the direction of.. somewhere he assumes the center is.
"As we walk, may you tell me of what you know about the Knights of Tegrid? What makes you want to join them?"

"Sure!" Blue said as they gave Cronan a thumbs up and turned around to walk toward the city center, which was the opposite way that he had been motioning. In fact, it was back the way Cronan had been walking from. It was a bit of a long walk, passing quite a few city blocks, so it was nice that Cronan wasn't against some conversation as they made their way through the streets.
"The Knights of Tegrid are cool. There's no knight order from Dragon's Cradle, oh that's where I live, but the Knights of Tegrid kind of go all over the place. They watch courts and disputes and stuff and help common people. I basically do all that stuff already, you know? Thadda always asks me and Astrid to do that stuff. Oh, Thadda's the leader of my home village, and Astrid is my best friend. She made my armor, too."
Blue rambled on, trying to remember all the information they knew about the knight order, and making sure to inform Cronan of the things they mentioned that they figured he wouldn't know, like who Thadda and Astrid were. Once they mentioned Astrid, the conversation naturally moved to the subject of Cronan's armor. Blue completely lost track of Cronan's question and the original subject they were talking about.
"Oh, right! I wanted to ask you who made your armor! Astrid would probably think it looks super awesome. I bet she'd love to meet you! She's crazy about armor. She went crazy about my armor when we first met. Oh, I mean my old suit of armor, the one I wore before she made this one for me. I like this one better though."

Learning of the Knights of Tegrid was interesting, no matter how brief. Knights of Dragons Cradle also sound interesting, but before he could ask further about them, the subject shifted. Wolfe's mannerisms were quite hectic, especially with speech which was throwing Cronan in for a loop, but he listened on.
The subject went to his armor and who made it. That.. is a good question. Who made Cronan? Better yet, how does he explain this to him? This appears to be even more of a pickle than before.
"My armor? I uh, I appear to not know the answer to who made m-it." He prays the slip up was not noticed. "This Astrid; would she happen to be here in Sol City? I believe I might like to meet her, especially if she crafted such a fine suit such as yours," He said, technically not lying. He would like to meet this Astrid, but if she's an armor smith, perhaps they might know more about the suit he inhabits. Perhaps he will have to be straightforward with Astrid, in order to get the most information from her. That will be a bridge to cross when he gets to it, however.
"However, it would be remiss of me to say that my suit is not finely crafted, either. I must find who made this and show my appreciation." Cronan would furrow his brow if he were capable of it. Instead, he cocks his head to the side and looks downward in thought. He will need to figure this out; most likely over the course of a rather long time. First steps, however? Talk to Astrid.

Blue was excited to hear Cronan was interested in meeting Astrid. That was great, they'd both like to meet each other. Perfect! The only problem was that Astrid wasn't with them at the moment, but they could just bring him home- Oh wait, Astrid told them not to bring people to their house because of assassins and stuff... Cronan wasn't an assassin, right?
Welp, they could just ask him.
"Hey, you're not an assassin, right?"

Cronans head snapped toward Wolfe in surprise. What would make him think he was an assassin? Why would Cronan even be an assassin? Aren't assassins supposed to be.. stealthy?
"Uh, No. No, I am not an assassin; it would not be a good job for me." He responds honestly. Where did that even come from? "Why do you ask? Do I look like an assassin?" he asks curiously. It would be rather bad if he somehow looked like an assassin.
Cronan will spend the next couple minutes trying to figure out if he looks like an assassin. He shouldn't, right? Assassins were supposed to be quiet and stealthy. Cronan is loud and 6'5" tall. He can't be an assassin.. Right? Hm, perhaps he should look into that.

"Oh, I got ya! Armor is really noisy sometimes, isn't it? I don't think I'd make a very good assassin either. You don't look like an assassin at all, I just had to ask because Astrid said not to bring any assassins home, but you're not one, so it should be fine." Blue replied cheerily. The thought that the ooze would actually make an excellent assassin thanks to their shapeshifting abilities and how easily they could "dispose" of bodies never crossed their mind, nor did the idea that Cronan could be, you know, lying.
Just then, Blue finished eating the last of their meat skewers and held the empty sticks behind their back to consume those too. It was just in time, though because they had finally arrived in the city square where there was an abundance of food stalls all around selling all sorts of street foods. One of the main reasons Blue liked this place and had its location memorized.
Blue turned to face Cronan, their fists on their hips, and declared-
"We're here! The city square. So, you can probably find your way around from here, but do you want to come with me to meet Astrid? We'd have to leave the city though since she's not here and head to Dragon's Cradle. Do you like flying?"

Now, Cronan wasn't the best person in a social situation. His lack of knowledge in a lot of subjects and mannerisms makes him quite helpless sometimes. However, even now, it strikes Cronan that this man might be gullible.
"It is good that you do not believe that I am an assassin, Mister Wolfe."
Then the subject of flying came up, and Cronan wasn't sure how to respond. He's never flown, but perhaps he might actually enjoy it?
"Yes, I would like to go with you, if you'll have me. I have never flown before. What will we be using?" He asks, a curious tilt to his head. The question came up in his mind: Would he be too heavy? He didn't know how much he weighed, but it had to be a lot, right? He guesses he'll find out in time.
He thought about it further: Honesty with Astrid was paramount. He simply has to hope that there isn't a negative reaction to the information.

"Great! Let's go to the docks then. It'll be way easier to take off from there." Blue responded happily, glad to hear that Cronan wanted to come with them. They started walking off in the direction of the docks without an explanation, looking back on occasion to make sure the armored not-an-assassin was still behind them.
The journey wasn't long with Blue excitedly walking at a quick pace, their armor clanking with each step and being echoed by the clanking of Cronan. The crowd parted even more than they had when Cronan had walked alone, careful not to get in the way of two knightly looking individuals. It looked as if Blue was some royal escort for the ornately decorated Cronan. But, their destination wasn't something anyone would expect such individuals to be headed to.
They arrive at the end of a long, stone pier that was empty of any ships at the moment. Blue thought about creating a cloud bird for them to ride, but reconsidered. They were still pretty new at using that technique and if they lost focus and it dissipated while they were flying over the ocean, that might end very badly for Cronan in his heavy metal armor. Blue knew from experience that armor didn't float. Nope, it'd be much safer to just do this the old fashioned way.
"Alright, just get on my back and let's go." Blue said to Cronan as if that was a completely normal thing to say to someone.
Blue turned away from Cronan again and started to shapeshift, their body growing larger, the plates of their armor separating to reveal blue feathers. Their legs transformed into talons and their arms elongated and flattened into a huge pair of wings. In just a few moments, Wolfe had been replaced by a giant, blue, armored bird that was standing at the end of the pier, waiting for Cronan to climb onto their back.

They begin walking to the docks. Wolfe never had answered what they were going to take, but he assumed he'd get his answer eventually. But Wolfe did say docks. Were there like, Air Docks in the city? Cronan hadn't seen any. Granted, he probably wouldn't be able to identify any if there were such a thing.
They reach the docks, which are very much for boats, and not anything that flies. He was about to ask what Wolfe had in mind when he began morphing into.. a bird?
"...What?" He asks, completely and utterly stunned, confused and a little afraid. "You aren't normal," he says matter-of-factly. He doesn't mean any malice, more just stating the obvious in order to allow himself to process the information. With great amounts of hesitation, Cronan climbs onto.. Bird Wolfe's back.
Cronan isn't light whatsoever. Whatever his armor is made of probably isn't meant to be worn by a person. The sheer weight of him is downright confusing as nobody, even in plate armor, should weigh this much.
Cronan plants his feet into small breaks in the armor in order to keep himself steady, and holds onto another break near the neck. "I.. am on, I suppose. I cannot say I was expecting this, Mister Wolfe. How are you able to do this?" he asks, seeking to sate his own curiosity.
