The world is set in the expansive realm of Aster, which is home to nine distinct regions: Lacaille, ruled by a king and queen; Esso'tera, the home of the black market and the infamous Umbras; Nyre, the technological center of the world; Maline, set off the picturesque coasts; the chilly mountains of Guivre; Kama, where fairies commune with nature; quiet Heizoek and its mythical mountains; Kulkan's matriarchal society bordering the forests and prairies; and lastly Koji, which is currently headed by a child emperor and his pet dragon.
