Byrnir Gundadrakk
Gender: Male
Age: 158
Race: Dwarf
Nationality: Skofkazadan (Bleak Fort in Common)
Appearance: Stout, muscular build typical of his race. Byrnir has a long Grey Beard, immaculately plaited, and weighed down with round golden medallions etched with obscure and powerful runes braided in. He dresses in heavy Dwarfen plates which bear the etched runes of his trade, and carries a large Double Headed Warhammer which is likewise, completely adorned in ornamental gold and expertly carved runes. Despite looking like an Ironbreaker Hearthguard, Byrnir is a Runesmith, and has the tattoos to prove it. If you ever catch Byrnir unarmored (A rare occurrence) you'll see intricate geometric patterns inked into his arms, and chest. A series of interlocking runic patterns that seem to form different words and phrases as Byrnir moves and flexes.
Personality: Generally good spirited. Quick to laugh, or raise an Az for a brother in need. Honor is everything, because at the end of the day, when you've lost your hold, your gold, and you've gotten real old, Honor is the only thing you'll have left to lean on. Possessed of an iron will, and an obsessive work ethic, he maintains an attitude of "If its worth doing, its worth doing right, and doing something right means doing something proper! No shoddy work gets past the grumblings of the longbeards. Nor should it!"
History: Byrnir is a Runesmith. That in itself is a rare and mighty deed. It takes a hundred years of study under a master Runesmith for a Beardling to earn the title of Runesmith, and very few Dwarfs have the patience, skill, dexterity, patience, dedication, work ethic, patience, and patience required to master the exceptionally tedious skill of Runeforging. Byrnir is one such Dwarf, and has spent the scant few years since he completed his apprenticeship traveling and stretching his beard, sampling beer and blood from all over, honing his skills as a battlesmith, and offering aid where he can.
