Socket had experienced something like this before, lost in the void between realms for an unknown length of time. They could feel the strain of time's distortion, and did all they could to keep focus. As they returned to the reality before them, a heavy sluggishness followed in it's wake. It had seemed like living another lifetime, yet had been only an instant... some sort of illusory effect perhaps that distorted one's sense of time.
Reality seemed to weigh the group down collectively, and this so called deity seemed amused with itself... Socket suspected it was masking it's own fears and secrets... often these deities were simply powerful beings wanting to be remembered beyond the span of their own reckoning. They looked around to their friends, seeking recognition and understanding on the faces of all who'd come to do battle. Would others be able to discern the nature of this fight?
Channeling the energies within, Socket tapped into the currents of magic and electricity to give themselves a reprieve from the exhaustive effect. As the glowing plates of their body began to crackle and spark, they leapt high into the air. An arcane word, and Step of the Wind activated, allowing the construct an overhead view of the field and to take in the happenings completely. Was Ziev itself an illusion... one way to find out for sure... Socket moved in closer, keeping just beyond the main body of fighting, out of the line of fire. They gathered the will for another spell, envisioned it's execution.
'Time to find out what you really are...' Socket spoke another arcane word, and with a gesture like drawing a line to the sky, summoned the pillars of Lightning Lure stacked atop one another where Ziev currently stood.

Amazed to see the dazzling displays of all, Socket stood in awe for several seconds. When an opening presented itself, they called forth the liquid staff of Whirling Wave, shaping into a Yari (that's a japanese style spear). They took a short step forward and hopped above Ziev's head. As they fell, they timed the overhead strike with the triggering of the second portion of Lightning Lure. Five brilliant electrical arcs shot through the so-called deity, each pillar of lightning collapsing with a concussive pop.
In that moment, Socket's circuits were running on overdrive. The raging conflict before them, all that had happened and was happening seemed to be in slow motion. It reminded the construct of their first encounter with Charon's magic, the raw and unbridled currents of the lightning storm that had awakened and attuned them to this realm. A drop of just a few feet seemed to stretch on, and during that moment Socket took stock of the battle before them. Things were still dicey, and the very real possibility of losing more than just this fight weighed on them. Somehow, with the combined might of so many skilled combatants, they had to pull through. As the spear drove home, the construct poured all their strength and weight into the strike. It wasn't much comparatively, but they were fast and precise, using every ounce of inertia that had been built up in the leap and fall. Nearly vertical, their grip on the spear was barely holding on as they tumbled through the rush of blows, spells and projectiles all aimed at Ziev. A quick recovery, and they rolled to a low stance and prepared to strike once more.
