Zarius narrows his eyes at Kara after she whispers in Kvasir's ear. He didn't catch what she said, but whatever it was, it left the foxman shaken. Still, Kvasir did his best to keep himself together in front of them. The tiefling nods slowly. He wouldn’t press the matter despite his own curiosity. While may have bought some of Kvasir’s favor, they still did not know each other particularly well. It was too early to push him.
After Kvasir makes a hasty retreat, Nyr is next to rise from the table.
“Nice to meet you as well, I hope we can chat again under better circumstance.” He offers the young man a reassuring smile before rising to his feet.
Remembering that he hadn’t yet given Kvasir the plant specimens he had brought, he catches Nyr just before he leaves.
“Please make sure Kvasir receives these, would you?”
He hands the young man the bag, making sure he has a good grip on it and knows to be careful in case any of the clay vessels the specimens crack. As the confused waiter returns, Zarius picks up the tab for the table and gives a decent tip for the trouble and broken chair. Having settled the debt, he heads out himself and takes a look around.
While he could follow Kvasir and Nyr to make sure they get back to Kvasir’s new place safely, he still had some unanswered questions for Kara. Questions better asked and answered without Kvasir and Nyr around to overhear.
A quick bit of questioning of people outside gives him an idea of which way she went. He heads off to track the woman down and with any luck, gain some much needed clarity on a few things.

Kara didn’t feel good. It had started a few minutes after she had connected to the soul of a dead god. Kasra… Touching the other Celestial’s soul had done something to her. Something… Painful. Her body felt like a fire was starting up slowly within it. She gritted her teeth and kept walking.
It had been a strange day. It had been a strange week. Waking up in this realm, fighting a Dragon, meeting Kvasir, who had not been an angel… Scaring Nyr, which she still felt bad about…
Nyr…. Another oddity. Once Zarius had entered the picture, all her senses had been focused on him, but before he had showed up, she could’ve sworn… She shook her head. No. It must have been a mistake.
She stumbled, leaning heavily against a caravan. Her chest flared with heat. She looked around, noting how blurry her vision had gotten. What is going on? She kept walking, kept moving.
Zarius… Now there was a strange one. There was something about his soul that disturbed Kara. Aside from that, she had noticed his subtle manipulation of events… Painting her as the villain… Kara didn’t like him. Not at- Ah! Damn that hurt.
Strange day aside, Kara continued walking among the small establishments of the Trading Post, and felt like she might just be starting to understand this world. She had made mistakes today, that’s for sure, but with each mistake, she gained valuable information. With each mistake, she improved. She smiled.
“Screw ‘em all.” She said, straightening up, chin thrusting out proudly.
“...Kara’s got this.”
