Hylltywyll watched as the two began sealing the exits, locking the door, closing the windows. He couldn't help but giggle again. It really wouldn't help contain him at all. He was perfectly capable of opening his own door anywhere he pleased. But, he wanted to watch the show he'd just put on. He simply moved around the room to wherever the two weren't. It was a large room, it was easy to avoid being accidentally bumped into, especially thanks to his small size. He could scurry beneath the furniture if he had to.

The captain should really be thanking him. If he hadn't poured that wine onto the floor, that woman might really have killed the innocent man. But, he thought he would be far more entertained watching the two of them panic and look for the invisible intruder than watching the man's throat be slit. Lucky for him. Still, he could have a bit more fun.

In a moment where neither of the two hunters were near the table, he leapt up onto it again and grabbed the empty wine bottle that had been emptied into the glasses. It vanished from sight with him and he leapt back off of the table. The captain faced away from him, now searching beneath the large bed. Hylltywyll gently placed the bottle on its side on the ground. The captain stood from his hands and knees again, scratching his head, wondering where the creature could be, and took a step directly onto the bottle. It flew out from beneath his foot and sent the poor man toppling backwards, landing sprawled out and groaning on his back.

Hylltywyll laughed as he slipped beneath the bed the man had just been looking under and believed to be clear of any mischievous creatures hiding beneath.

Vasilia watched the chaos unfold and wondered what kept making things appear and dissapear in the room. She wonder whether the creature itself could understand them or perhaps would wish to talk. She sat on the bed thinking as the captain fumbled around like a fool.

“Why won't you come out and reveal yourself? Since you have such incredible abilities of cloaking we would like to witness your wonder.” she said, thinking that a little reverse psychology work if the creature could understand her. Her hand outstretched telling the captain to back away into corner of the room and the wall.

“Come out and show us your powers...most wondrous of creatures” she said trying to coax out the intruder.

Hylltywyll laughed, but this time the sound was unhindered by his magic. It filled the room for both Vasilia and the captain to hear. While he laughed, he placed a hand on the floorboards beneath the bed and began conjuring a hole down to the room below. With his getaway complete, he stopped his laughter and spoke.

"You really thought I'd fall for something like that? You must think I'm almost as dumb as you. Well, I've had enough fun in this room. Maybe I'll see you again later. That dagger was kind of pretty..." he mocked as he slid into the hole, holding himself on the edge for a moment before dropping down.

The room below was filled with cots with a chest as the foot of each one. It must have been some kind of sleeping quarters for the crew. The Fairy looked up at the hole in the ceiling with a smile before the hole shrank back down to nothing and left the wood looking exactly as it had before.

It looked like there would be plenty of mischief to be caused in this room.

Vasilia scowled at the little creature. It had the most annoying laugh and was completely petulant. If only it didn't have the power to vanish through floorboards. She listened to it, her eyes looked at it with daggers. She wished her hands were round the little pixies throat strangling it. The mention of the dagger was fuel on the fire for Vasilia.

“What room is below?” she asked.

“Crew's quarters.” said the captain shaking his hurting head.

“Leave this to me...you've done enough” she said shaking her head as she exited via a window and descended to the crew area below.

As she entered the room she couldn't see much again...she hadn't really planned on catching a pixie devil this voyage...maybe there was no point...what if she played it's game.

“You think I'm dumb you said...well...what if the fun all ended now?” she said as she took a torch from the side of the room and walked past the room.

“...I'll blow this ship and all of us sky high if you don't reappear now. I want to talk with you.” she said in a frustrated way as she got saw ahead of her some black powder to make fire. It was a pretty crazy move, but maybe it might get the attention of the little pest. It seemed to thrive on chaos after all.

"That sounds like it would cause you a lot more problems than it would cause me." Hylltywyll replied from somewhere in the room.

He didn't believe she would actually do such a thing, but even if she did, he had ways of getting off the ship safely. He was more interested in seeing whether she could survive doing such a thing. If she couldn't, then he'd call her bluff. If she really did, he'd get to see something interesting. Either way, he was enjoying himself.

"Go ahead and do it, but it won't end my fun. Maybe yours, but not mine."

“If this ship sinks do you think you will survive long hundreds of miles from shore with no places to hide in the sunlight?” she said in a serious and almost, concerned way. It seemed like it was like talking to a child in some way. This creature didn't understand basic logic or common sense.

“However, if you stop for a moment I'm sure I can find you some fun? Come out and show me who you are.” she said trying to offer the creature a way out of this situation.

Her hand gripped the torch tightly. Of course she didn't want to blow them up, but sometimes only insane creatures understood insane acts. She wondered whether it might be worth having this one as a potential ally, it's powers far surpassed her own in the shadow arts. 

"Oh? What boat is hundreds of miles from shore? We just set sail. I could still see the shore from the back of the boat when I was up there just a few minutes ago. If you want to lie, make up something that can't be proven wrong so easily." Hylltywyll taunted, moving from beneath the cot and hopping up onto the chest at the foot of the cot in the very back corner of the room.

"And who says I can't make my own darkness?" he continued, turning to face her and silently plopping his fuzzy behind down on top of the chest. The Fairy sat there, his little legs dangling down in front of him, his torso turned facing Vasilia. He could just keep hiding or escape, but he thought it might be more fun to try something else.

"Alright, how about a deal? You promise not to ever harm me and I'll let you see me. How about that? Deal?"

The little voice spoke and she listened. It clearly wasn't stupid or could be tricked...so her little test worked. He moved a lot because the location of the voice kept changing.

Then he spoke about darkness or making a deal.

“You are definitely powerful...” she said quietly as she took out her blades.

“...very well..I promise to not harm you...now show me” she said dropping her blades to the side of her and taking a seat on a barrel, crossing her legs. The elf woman kept a close eye on all corners of the room and await something to appear.

What was this little voice coming from she wondered.

Hylltywyll looked a little frustrated, though Vasilia couldn't see that.

"No, no, that's not what I said. You promise not to ever harm me and I'll let you see me. You need to say you agree, or deal. I won't accept any less." he called out to her, moving his location again afterward.

Now he crawled beneath the bed closest to the door. If she refused his deal, he would just leave and force her to search for him again. He wouldn't accept a contract with her that wasn't in his favor. He wanted assurance of his safety while she could see him. He wouldn't lose his stealth, his only safety net, until he had a new one. Despite his abilities to remain undetected being rather extraordinary, his combat abilities were severely lacking.

"Do you agree?"

She wondered what he was trying to bind her into, was this some kind of magic if she agreed. She remained cautious. Maybe he just didn't want to meet the end of her blades. She sat there letting her foot sway up and down.

“Okay...I agree” she said in a less than impressed way. She wanted to see this creature.

"Good!" Hylltywyll said happily. She had actually agreed to such a one-sided deal. He couldn't help but laugh a little.

The little Fairy appeared, sitting on a chest on the other side of the room from Vasilia. He sat with his little bird-like legs dangling off the side, his hands at his sides, and a mischievously smiling face looking directly at her. He was only two feet tall and mostly covered in a dark purple, fluffy coat of fur.

"There, now you see me. But you can't hurt me. A deal with a Fairy is very binding, you know."

Her eyes lit up as she saw the creature emerge. It was a black little fairy creature with bird legs. A fluffy and small gremlin. He seemed cocky and confident.

“Why would I want to hurt such a unique and wonderful creature. I must say you are not quite what I imagined fairy...” she said with interest. She was trying to flatter him here, but she needed to buy time to find out what it wanted.

“...what is your name? My name is Vasilia” she asked him with a hint of respect for the little devil creature.

"Hmmm? Am I so much better than you imagined? Way cooler and more handsome?" Hylltywyll teased, lying down on the chest with his head in one hand and the other on his waist.

This Vasilia person really liked to flatter, didn't she? It might be more fun to mess with her like this than he'd thought. Though she might be thrown off the boat soon for threatening the captain. He did seem like a bit of a pushover though, so maybe not. Either way, it would be interesting to see what happened from that prank, and he could mess with her until then.

"My name? Why don't you try to guess it. I want to know what name you think I look like." he continued his teasing, changing his position to be lying on his stomach with his head in both hands, his feet in the air behind him.

She laughed a little, this small critter was just as amusing. She had no idea what kind of name it would take. She knew absolutely nothing about dark fairies.

“You are definitely much better. I expected a slimy gremlin or stunted hobbit. I never expected a cute little black fairy with such a big personality” she said sending the fairy a cute little smile. She then stood up and stretched her long legs.

“Unfortunately I don't know many fairy names...however I find you tricks amusing. What say we have some fun together with the captain. Together I'm sure we could take over this ship for the duration of the voyage?” she said as her hands interlaced in a careful and calculating way. She then looked to him.

“I'm sure together we could have a lot of fun on this ship.” she said raising an eyebrow at the little fairy. Her mind was thinking of a possible scam. This boat was loaded with good honest workers goods...perhaps something smugglers might take off her hands if given to the right people.

They laughed at the continued flattery. A stunted Hobbit? That's a good one. Everyone knows Hobbits don't exist. They were just from a book by some old guy. He liked the part about having a big personality, though.

Hylltywyll thought about it for a moment. They'd never taken over a ship before. It sounded like it could be fun. And that captain was pretty fun to mess with. Maybe this would be a good partnership. It would at least be more fun than wandering around the ship.

"Alright, let's do it. I do like fun." he said as he stood up.

He jumped up onto Vasilia's shoulders and, once more, disappeared from sight. However, she could still feel the weight of the Fairy on her and the feeling of surprisingly soft fur on her neck. He sat there, his legs dangling in front while his hands held onto her head.

"Let's go."
