Blixt™ Cafe
...is one of the most popular, successful restaurants in all of Sol City, which is particularly strange as it is also a fairly low-end, affordable place to dine. Its entrepreneurial founder and owner, Veliky (no known aliases), accomplished this with several innovative business decisions:
Firstly, the cafe is tactically placed midway between the Docks and the Market District, where traders and sailors alike can grab food and drink on their way to work.
Secondly, the affordable menu is fulfilling for the diverse middle-class of sailors, mercenaries, labourers and, of course, adventurers.
Thirdly, the Cafe features an inventive "takeout" system that allows customers to, as the name suggests, order travel-ready food and drink. It even features a "takeout window" for wagons and carriages, such that passing merchants need not even enter the restaurant when they're buying on the go!
Lastly, and most importantly, the menu features a brand-new beverage that has taken Sol City by storm: the Cafe's namesake, Blixt™.
Blixt™
Blixt™ is an ingenious and delicious liquid refreshment supposedly invented by Veliky herself. Blixt™ comes in several flavours, including Wheatgrass, Salted Pork, Avocado, White Pepper, Pirate's Rum, Cheesy Bacon Bomb and "Super," but their true selling point is the fact that Blixt™ is literally charged with electricity, providing the drinker all the energy they need for the day. This makes it especially popular with adventurers, who never know when they might need the extra kick. Blixt™ can also be consumed in the form of an icy, refreshing Blixtuccino™.
Disclaimer: Blixt™ is not a meal replacement product. Do not attempt to use Blixt™ as a substitute for standard daily nutrients.
While Blixt™ can be purchased and drunk in-store, most of it is actually bought for the road, as Blixt™ has no expiry date, making it the perfect drink for long (or short!) journeys. In fact, Blixt™ is so practical that many people have tried to crack the formula and production process, but these are heavily-protected trade secrets, hidden behind closed doors. No peeking!
Disclaimer: Peeking is an offence liable for a minimum of 1,000 solars in punitive damages plus compensatory damages.
The Staff
One of the most inventive, but least well-known parts of Blixt™ Cafe is the people who work there: They aren't people! While the baristas are citizens hired on a 'revolving door' basis, all of the cooks and other staff are actually autonomous, humanoid constructs called Blixtbots™. Their design is almost as mysterious and well-protected as the Blixt™ recipe itself, but it is known that they are nonsentient, highly efficient and completely safe for kids! Most importantly, they are not protected by the Employment Standards Doctrine.
