Appearance: Widmund speaks with a bellowing, jovial voice that resounds through whatever helmet he happens to be wearing. Despite being a gregarious sort, Widmund's actual appearance is unknown. He's always wearing some sort of armour, even when he isn't wearing armour: whether it's a bucket in lieu of a bucket helm, working gloves in place of gauntlets or thigh-highs instead of greaves, he wears a full armament at all times. The features that can be seen are those of his build: massive and bulky, standing 7'7" and weighing nearly 300 pounds. It's astonishing that he can find clothes, let alone armour, in his size.

Personality: Widmund is kind, generous, good-humoured, brave and chivalrous but, most surprisingly, wise and intelligent. Though it might not be obvious at first, Widmund is a scholar, not a "mere ruffian." He engages in combat expand his knowledge of battle, equipment and warfare. When he isn't challenging strangers to duels, he's reading books, drinking tea and philosiphicizing. He's also a graceful loser, and actually prefers loss to success in a fight, as he believes that there is more to be learned from defeat than victory.

History: Widmund works for a small, but well-historied organization known as the Omnes Doctrina, an enigmatic group of scholars dedicated to the study and documentation of... everything. Each member is assigned a specific field of research, and each field has only one scholar at a time. Widmund is the 45th scholar to be assigned the field of battle, hence his title. Otherwise, he's a rather reserved and mysterious individual, preferring to discuss the sweet science of skirmish rather than himself.
