The glow of the staff dies down as they enter the sunlight, almost unnoticeable on the open street. But the effect was not over yet. Everyone that the trio had passed by seemed to be more cheery. Arguments turned into laughter, even a cat chasing a dog away turned into an impromptu mutual grooming session on the sidewalk. Sister Carmilla’s eyebrows raised at the sight before her. A nobleman and a bard dragging along a drunken priestess. It was like the setup to a bad joke. Her normal reaction to poke fun at her fellow sister was dulled for some reason though. An empathetic hand from her silken robes raised to face the red-haired drunkard, and traced the sigil for a spell. (1) All at once, Serena was alert and conscious. The foggy haze of alcohol had lifted almost immediately, though the ensuing nausea also came quite suddenly. She rushed forward, pushing aside Carmilla to reach the font of holy water at the entrance of the temple. Then she threw up in it. The Sister did not seem to mind however, only smiling and shaking her head at the little rascal whilst the other clergy went to attend to her. She turned her head back towards the two helpful adventurers with a grin, once more bowing quite deeply. “My greatest apologies for our sisters troubles. If there is any recompense the church could grant either of you for your altruism, please ask. Lord Sarne I pray only that this does not tarnish the churches relations with your family.” 1 Remove Condition This spell allows you to touch yourself or an alley, completely removing all negative effects applied to them. This includes mental and physical effects the would negatively influence or harm the target. This will remove any negative spell that has a duration and can also cure effects from poisons or toxins. This spell can only be used twice per topic.

There was some relief when Sister Carmilla showed up. Sarne was worried that the young prestress would get herself in trouble. The red-haired drunkard was a sight. Even in that state of drunkenness Sarne still found her attractive. It was a good day for him to find two women to sit with and was not after his nobility or money. The whole thing was comical to Sarne.
Helping Serena he saw as his good deed and duty for the day. His mother would have approved of his actions. Sarne thought all of this while they walked. There was no trouble getting to the temple with the four walking together people got out of the way. If they chose to be difficult one stern look from Sarne made them change their minds. Watching Serena hurried forward, forcing aside Carmilla to reach the basin of holy water at the door of the temple. Watching Serena throw up in it made Sarne wince some.
"There is no need to bow or apologize to me Sister Carmilla I was happy to help. Sister Serena though had a large drinking tab," Sarne paused to let Sister Carmilla see where this was going. "Rest Sister Carmilla. I took care of it so there would be no problems. But I would like to be reimbursed for the coin I paid out. I will let you know how much by messenger," explained Sarne in a friendly but firm tone.

Observing Serena's hangover only reaffirmed Ambika's desire to never get involved with the priestess ever again. "I should like due recompense in keeping our priestess here safe. Her drunken misdemeanours have not been kind to this old soul." Ambika was firm and honest. "And if I may, I have a request." Ambika unslung her instrument case and removed the fine scroll containing a sketch of her son, unfurling and showing it to Sister Carmilla. "I am looking for this man. If it is not too much trouble, could you ask the convents if they have seen him?" Her partner had been quite the potent healer back in his day. He was since disgraced and excommunicated, but it was worth considering the possibility that Kishan had been here.
Sister Carmilla carefully took the scroll from Ambika, perused the drawing carefully and said, "I suppose you will want this back, correct?" Ambika nodded in the affirmative, and went on to inform the sister on where she was staying for the night so that her memorabilia could be delivered back to her.
With the priestess considered safe, and having no reason to linger around the Temple of the Sun, Ambika bid Serena and Lord Sarne farewell and descended the steps back to Sol City.
