Sarne again was in Dragon's Cradle in the Sky Peak city. The winter was going to be bad from what people were saying. This region would not be ready for this. Sarne had seen more than just buildings that needed to get ready nothing would be an issue before long too. Dealing with one problem at a time. Sarne always seemed to get tied up in this type of work and his reputation was going. Sky Peak City is at the very soul of Dragon’s Cradle, shielded by the mountains of Dragon’s Spine, stands the Sky Peak. Cut into the sides of the mountain, the Sky Peak circles to the top ending at the tower inn known as the Birds Perch. A succession of ladders, counterweight elevators, and underpasses foster the transport of people and goods through the town cut out of the mountain itself. The rich environment of the town is noticed through the multitude of colorful lights. They are popular with the residents during the night. Greens, golds, and reds awash the nighttime activities of drinking, dancing, and music. The lights have been said to be heard and seen across quiet nights in the mountains. Sane arrived in the afternoon landing at one of the many platforms and stables that the city had. Making sure Screech was taken care of Sarne wandered to the place where he would meet the city official. this city was large and amazing with the way it operated. seeing the Offical Sarne walk up there was another man there. He was an elf in his mid-20s though Sarne. With black hair, pale, silver eyes, lean and muscular dressed in dark clothing armed with a longbow. Sarne heard the name Mystrum. Sarne walked up "Are you the City offical?" Sarne asked the old man talking to Mystrum.
Quest Name: Storm Proofed Participants: Two or more Location: Dragon's Cradle (Sky Peak) Post Requirements: 4 posts per person, 200 words per post Reward: +1 Renown Description: Those in the Cradle know winter can be especially rough for them, as the storms above don't cease just because the air has cooled, oftentimes mixing with snow or rain, making them much more frustrating. Because of this, locals have made it a tradition to fix up homes, businesses, and establishments, getting them ready for both the winter storms and the decrease in temperature. Sky Peak has an open invitation for anyone wanting to help in this endeavor. The job is simple: assist locals in weatherproofing their homes with materials such as new lumber, pitch, shingles, and tools needed to do so.

Solomon spoke with the official wanting to be able to help his village. He was more of a hunter typically but he knew that to handle the incoming storm things must be prepared for such a thing to happen. He nodded as he listened to the town official talking. His ears soon flicked as he heard someone approaching. He then turned around examining the other who was approaching. He looked at his armor and demeanor and heard how the other spoke. Some hockey or something he guessed to himself. He silently listened to the talk for a few moments before turning and beginning to head towards the houses to weather proof them. He listened to some of the villagers talk as they worked and tried to get things ready. Every so often he glanced to sarne to see what the noble man planned to do. Surely he wasn’t here for vacation or something. Was he actually going to help or was he just trying to look like he was some hero helping? It was too early for him to make a full judgement of the others true intentions and goal. For now however he worked on the buildings keeping to himself

Sarne watched the elf walk off towards the houses and businesses that needed help. Sarne found himself assigned to the same town area. he gave a thank you to the city official and started in the same direction as Solomon. Sarne walked with a wagon of supplies behind him. The wagon was filled with new lumber, pitch, shingles, and tools. There was a dwarf driving the wagon He looked young with a powerful build muscular and fit. The Dwarf looked intimidating and tall for a dwarf. His red-brown hair and hazel eyes. The tan skin shows the work that Nordic has done, good looking for a Dwarf. He is dressed in Black adventuring clothing with a black cloak.
Be side the wagon was a women She has beautiful brown eyes. Her shiny brown long hair goes to the middle of her back. Her tan skin is in a lovely condition. She was almost 6' tall and a curvy build makes her attractive women. She dressed in Black adventuring clothing a cloak that seems to blend into any area she is in. Carrying an assortment of swords daggers and other stuff she may needs. Sarne quickens his step. To get closer to the Elf. "Solomon," said Sarne out loud. "That's your name? That is what the official said. Wait up please." asked Sarne in a polite voice.

Solomon paused with a flinch at the other calling his name and whipped around incase he needed to defend himself pausing and relaxing some as he saw it was Sarne. The man looked strong but his body language posed no threat to him and he was calmer after hearing the other mention how he knew his name. He sighed a little and focused on the other "What is it?" he asked wondering what the other was wanting.
"Do you not know where you are stationed?" he questioned as he was sure the other was an outsider judging by his clothes and demeanor. There was a certain look to the locals here, they all had a rather tough look to them in one way or another. They survived quite extreme weather and so on. He knew every inch of the cradle by this point in his life having grown up here and he was known mainly for his hunting and tracking skills to those in the village. Now however more needed to be done thanks to the recent events of vulcadreus. He spent any free time now working on helping the village recover from the dark times they were now stuck in

With Sarne now standing next to Solomon. Sarne pointed in the same direction that Solomon was going "To answer your question I have been assigned the same area. I do have some supplies with me and a little help." explained Sarne looking back at the wagon. I am Ser Sarne Sequoia, Lord of Grey Stone Keep, Captain of the Shadow Wolves Hunters. said Sarne introducing himself. "with the wagon is Nordic, Naesala, and Vamir. My retainers." Sarne explained to Solomon. "Can we work together?" asked Sarne. Looking down the road The building had seen better days some did not even have shutters on the widows. Sarne was not even sure if he could help everyone. The people themselves did have some type of clothing but nothing for the winter they were about to have. Some of the people stopped and stared at Sarne and Solomon. some seemed some resentful for the whole Vulcadreaus incident. Others looked to be happy they were there. This would not be an easy task thought Sarne.
Sarne looked over to the wagon Nordic a dwarf was handing some bread and cheese to the kids that came up to the wagon. Naesala and Vamir were trying to help but also watching the wagon closely keeping people back as they moved. Sarne's heart sank as he watched the kids not knowing if he could help them last the winter. Sarne looked back at the buildings. "I say we help the people with children first then families then businesses if we have anything left. What say you?" asked Sarne wondering if Solomon would say yes.

Solomon sighed a bit at the realization the other had listened in on his conversation and had the long introduction. A nobleman, just what Solomon wished to deal with today, he thought in a sarcastic tone before looking over “Solomon. I suppose you can help just make sure you pull your weight” he replied simply and turned walking over to the section. Solomon was prickly at the best of times but with all that needed to be done he was a bit colder than usual.Sarne nodded in greeting to some people they passed. This was his home after all and he knew those who lived here very well
“Children and the elderly first. There’s a good few in this zone and it should be manageable if work is kept efficient. Some of the others are helping work and can fix their own houses rather well. Before businesses we should work on the medical home for those who are sick as well. It may become a crowded place for those not used to the freezing weather that will arrive. Hunting will be far more difficult for them as well” he sighed thinking about it. Would they even have enough food?

Sarne gave a stern look back at Solomon after his comment about him pulling his own weight. Sarne was not amused at that comment but said nothing. Sarne looked at the areas that Solomon was talking about. Sarne had no problem with Solomon's plan. It was a good plan and it could be accomplished in a good time frame.
"I do agree with your plan. I think you have a good eye for things. I will set up the wagon over there we will have good access to it," Sarne said pointing as they walked. Sarne looked back at Nordic, Naesala, and Vamir lifting his hand in the air and giving some hand signals the three nodded and started to take the wagon to the spot that Sarne pointed to.
Sarne and Solomon started to attract some attention as they walked. People stared some kids even started to follow them with interest they talked among them self's most of them had never seen a knight this close before not even nobles come to this part of town. No one was acting foolishly or being rude. One man stepped out into the street in Sarne and Solomon's path. The man had a blacksmith hammer resting on his broad shoulders. His dirty leather apron and gloves with a smile. "You here to start trouble or help?" asked the man looking at Sarne and Solomon.

Solomon either didn’t notice or just didn’t care about the stern look given by the other.Solomon merely nodded in reply to the others words and glanced to his hand signals seeing the others he had brought along nodding in recognition.he nodded to a few familiar faces he passed here and there before looking to the blacksmith “calm brother, this man and company have journeyed here to help before the storm.” He remarked. He wasn’t overly friendly with the blacksmith but had gone to them a few times to fix his hunting knife. Though he wouldn’t show it he cared greatly for those in the village, his home.
Solomon was mainly a hunter for the village but the day was taken off in order to help before the storm, other rangers assuring him they would catch more than enough before the weather turned foul. His gaze was steady and icy but seemed calm and a small glimmer of kindness showed in his eyes. He trusted the villagers full heartedly. “The rest of the ranger patrol is taking care of finding food and some strangers have come to assist in fortifying our homes. All will be well

Crane looked over the blacksmith shop "It would help if we could use your shop to help the others. I will pay you well for your help Master Blacksmith," asked Sarne in a respectful and considerate manner. The Blacksmith eyed Sarne seemed to have some doubt. "Name Ox, If you don't follow through with your promise I will pound you like a nail, Captain," said the Blacksmith Ox.
Sarne raised an eyebrow. Ox looked back at Sarne as he walked to the back of the shop. "I served once as a master at arms. I know the sign's Captain. That you are a Lord and noble family." Ox said with some contempt his tone was harsh from the hard life he had led. Ox stopped. "Put your supplies there" stated Ox pointing to a shed.
Sarne smiled at the Man I thank you for your assentce Ox. Sarne looked over his shoulder Nordic was already there with the wagon and had figured out what was going on. It took no time at all to unload the wagon Most people were shocked to see Sarne doing some of the work.
They worked into the night helping people with their homes and passing what other items they could to the people. It was a bit more frigid at night. Sarne did not worry about it. Sarne just worked until the light was fading.

Solomon worked hard to make sure houses were being prepared properly and well enough only pausing when a few of the kids came over asking if he caught them anything today. A small hint of a smile showed on his lips and he ruffled their hair "No hunting today as I have been preparing the homes but I id get something else for you all today just make sure you share with the rest" He replied handing over a bag with some fruit and bread in it. "You make sure everyone gets some. I will fix up the home once I am done here just make sure to stay inside an stay safe" he replied before ushering them off
Once satisfied with that he returned to his work, his normal cold expression fully back in place on his face. He looked around as it got darker but continued to work and refused to stop. After it got rather dark out he looked around at the work that had been completed already, seemingly pleased with the amount accomplished so far. The home would have enough time to be prepared before the storm would hit at this rate. That was good and put his mind at ease some

Sarne looked over to Solomon. Sarne had delivered the last nail in on the blank of wood. "I am honored to work beside you today and we got a lot done. I might get to maybe get some hunting in early tomorrow for the people. We still have a few supplies left so we will be furnished tomorrow anyway." Suggested Sarne looking a little tiered.
Looking over to Nordic. "Go and pass out the food I have left. with any you wish to give out." Sarne said looking at some children that had been watching him through the day. Nordic gave a Nod and then "Yes Captain, I was hoping you would say that. I think some of them could use it." commented Nordic looking at Naesala and Vamir. Nodding Naesala and Vamir agreed and also started to walk towards the wagon.
The three Nordic, Naesala, and Vamir started to carry some boxes and put them on the side Sarne stood off to one side watching carefully to make sure there was no trouble or fighting over the food. Nordic, Naesala, and Vamir gave it out to the children and some families. with no regard if they would have enough for them selves.with everything completed for the day they rested at the for the night.

Solomon glanced back "The town can hunt for itself. I suppose if you truly feel the need however then feel free" he remarked grabbing some of the left over supplies "Rest noble. You have done the job you came here for" he remarked. After the group of kids that had come looking for him had a bit of food he nodded and the older ones grabbed some supplies.
With that taken care of he nodded to the group "Farewell then" he remarked before disappearing into the night with the kids seemingly moving towards the edge of town. The kids followed a few waving back to the noble and his band of adventurers for the time being. Truly he was strange and cold to those who didnt know him, but to those who did like the children they knew of his kindness and softheartedness.
The town seemed to be rather happy and a bit calmer with all the proofing before the storm would be coming. The hunters had also returned with the prey for the day. They found a good bit though of course the snow storm would make it more difficult. Some did seem to take the offer for some of the food offered
